Hello,
I've got a problem with my purchased copy of ULiL. I own a desktop running Window 7 Professional and ULiL plays fine on there. However, I have a Macbook Pro(13 inch, Late 2014 model, 8GB RAM) which has Yosemite on it and when running a Win10 or Win7 emulation, ULiL will open with a black screen, sit there for a good solid 10-12 seconds, and then crash to the desktop with no errors, warnings, or noises at all. I've installed DirectX on both emulations, and Japanese text is enabled and active on both. I've also tried opening ULiL on Win10 with AppLocale, which didn't work either. I've also attempted using WINE on mac, and running it through that, but WINE won't open the program at all. The program seems to hang or just not load up at all. I'm thinking it is possibly the video card, as my desktop has an NVIDIA card in it, and the MBP is running Intel graphics.
Btw, I also own SA and that has worked perfectly in Parallels so far.
Thank you for your time! :)

Well the latest Intel graphics driver is here (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24870/Intel-Iris-and-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-64-bit). Give it a shot. That's not gonna work on Parallels, nvm.

In terms of graphics power your MacBook should do fine. My laptop has dual-mode NVIDIA + Intel graphics, and the game works fine on the Intel graphics while it requires a mod to work with the former. I don't own a Mac, but my best bet is that the emulation is causing the game to detect "hacking", which causes it to stop. Try applying the patch linked here (https://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,17762.msg1187939.html#msg1187939) and see if it runs. If not, install your copy of Windows natively via Boot Camp, and it should probably work just as well as it does on your desktop.
(In its unpatched form the game detects just about everything as a hack, including various antivirus programs as well as the NVIDIA driver itself...)
I've also tried opening ULiL on Win10 with AppLocale, which didn't work either.
Patch or no patch, AppLocale didn't work for me either. In the end I just set my system locale to Japanese.

Patch seems to have worked. I did move the parallels file that had my windows install onto an SD card(Not Recommended btw!), so that might also have had something to do with it, but I'm not really sure why moving the files around might have made a difference. Thanks for your help! Changing this thread to solved! :)
