I'm used to failing early and failing hard at Nethack, but this time around I think I might have a real shot here. And I don't want to screw it up, so I'm appealing to the hivemind before I do something stupid.
I've had pretty good luck so far. Among my starting inventory was a blessed spellbook of healing, a magic marker, and a scroll of genocide. These last two - and stumbling across not one but two paper golems - has enabled me to genocide liches, demiliches, master liches and leprechauns (I know they're not difficult; they just annoy the shit out of me). I was granted Grayswandir with my first successful sacrifice on a co-aligned altar. And I found an amulet of ESP on lvl 1. At this point, I have still only made one prayer.
Not too shabby! But I'd still like your advice. Here's where I'm at:

Don't worry, I know better than to go for a Friday the 13th run. Those dried up fountains around the Oracle? Dipping potions to make them into water (three in all) that I'm going to take back up to the altar for making holy water.
Here's my inventory:

Those three "holy waters" are still just regular water; they were named that way on account of a "call a blessed clear potion etc" entry I made earlier on, just before #dipping my gloves in holy water from that one prayer I made on my altar over a clear potion I found earlier.
At this point, here's what I'm thinking to do next:
- Bless that water, then bless Grayswindr and my robe, at least.
- Get my hands on an uncursed sack, at least.
- Hit Sokoban (where I might get a bag of holding, but am hoping for an amulet of reflection).
- Get a scroll of charging, re-charge that magic marker. I only have 10 charges left, as you can see, and have so far only seen scrolls of genocide and confuse monster.
Any and all input welcome. Help my monk get places!

I'd say the next step would be to head to the mines; you might not yet be able to get down to where the luckstone is, but there's a nonzero chance of you being able to find a sack somewhere in the town or on a hostile enemy. Sokoban after that.
Though that's just personal preference; someone better at the game might have other opinions.
