I've tried using thcrap to patch PCB. While it works perfectly for custom.exe, it doesn't do a thing to th07.exe itself.
-
in my experience, you still need to use applocale for th07. After many tries with a few different methods, i decided it is simply easier to use the english patch for pcb.

Which english patch?

oh wow, I didn't realize the links for the PCB english patch have all died.
Try this: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ijen39gmx67osr7/th07_english_patch_1[1].0.exe
you still need appLocale to run the patcher, but after that you should be able to run the th07e.exe without any more hassle.

Thcrap recognizes PCB for me.
Does your copy of PCB have the latest official patch? You should have v1.00b. If you don't have v1.00b, you can get the patch here: http://www16.big.or.jp/~zun/html/th07_update.html

yeah thcrap should recognize PCB but if you are running it in non-Japanese locale, you still can't run the translated PCB, see https://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,17477.0.html

The thing is, it DOES recognize PCB, and it DOES create a custom shortcut for it, but trying to run the shortcut gives me the Japanese version.
I have tries applying the v1.00b patch, but then thcrap doesn't recognize it at all.
Also, I tried using applocale to run the English shortcut, but then I get the message I normally get if I ran thcrap_launcher by itself.
