Title: PCB pausing and not resuming.

Whenever I play PCB, the game likes to randomly pause and not allow me to resume. It's happened with Yuyuko, the Prismrivers' Noisy Sign "Phantom Dinning," and Youmu's Hell Sign "100 Yojana in One Slash." I wonder if it has anything to do with bullet count or how replays are saved, but I would simply like an answer.

Maybe you accidentally pressed that one button that does exactly that: It freezes the game as if it was paused except the pause menu doesn't comes up... and it basically looks like the game crashed or freezed, except it didn't...

I don't remember the button right now, but I remember it is relatively possible for you to press is accidentally...

You get rid of this by pressing it again, but I don't remember what key did that. I will check later if no one hasn't answered by then.

You are correct.


LAlt does indeed pause (More like freeze) the game. As it is, no pause screen or anything, it just freezes and it doesn't lets you do ANYTHING AT ALL until you press LAlt again to unblock it. It can very well be mistaken by a crash- So maybe that's what OP is experiencing...

Why does this function exist anyway? I cant see the purpose of it. Hell, since it freezes the game with no penalty, you may as well say it only exists to allows players to cheat... strange...

You know how almost every program lets you access the menu toolbar by pressing Alt?
I think it's probably the game trying to access a menu that doesn't exist, so it freezes until you cancel the command (by pressing Alt again)
Also, iirc this was fixed by SA

Well, it can't be that, because the pause screen appears.
