Title: EoSD crashing in fullscreen?

Whenever I open EoSD in full-screen I'm able to play it perfectly fine for a while, before suddenly it minimizes itself (like I had alt-tabbed it) and closes when I try to reopen it. For example, I'll get up to the stage 4-5 and it'll do this. Obviously this is rather frustrating since I'll have wasted my time and was inevitably on a good run. Here's what I have installed:

Vsync patch (installed exactly according to readme instructions, and works perfectly fine in windowed mode)
English language patch
Character hitbox patch

and I'm using Windows 7. Anyone know a solution for this? Before I installed vsync, I couldn't even play in fullscreen at all because the fps ended up jumping to 600-700. I had read that that issue was related to running it with Windows 7.

It's a side-effect of the hitbox patch.

I can still play EoSD in fullscreen with hitbox patch though.

But it crashes if you minimize and then come back in. That doesn't happen if you use a plain drawn hitbox on your character, but it's very inaccurate since EoSD's hitbox is not fixed like in the next games.
