Title: Riverbed Soul Saver Crashes on Stage 1
Post by: Validon98 on July 06, 2014, 02:46:17 PM
Okay, I've been having this problem since the first trial of the game and it's persisted into version 1.00b. Every time I make it right before Cirno in Stage 1 with the Effect Cut anything but 4 (AKA having backgrounds on), the game crashes and refuses to close, forcing me to restart the game. This problem doesn't happen if backgrounds are off/Effect Cut is on 4. Does anyone know the cause of this or a solution, or is it just something along the lines of "my computer can't handle the game's graphics"?

My computer's specifications are as follows in case this means anything:

OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1, 64-bit
RAM: 4 GB
Processor: Intel Core i5 CPU M540 2.53GHz
Graphics Card: ??? (All it says is "Intel HD Graphics", I can't find the actual name)
Minimum Graphics Memory: 32 MB
Maximum Graphics Memory: 1696 MB

Do you have AppLocale?I mean,I don't know much about PC's,but I remember that one of HM's versions,It crashes when you beat Mamizou in Story Mode. I used AppLocale for that and it helped. Maybe you should try it  :3

I run my computer in Japanese locale all the time, so I don't think that's the problem here.

Have you tried playing the game in windowed mode? There is a possibility that playing the game in fullscreen conceals error pop-ups.
Have you seen the background change from a dark forest to a light-blue sky?
Does the light-blue Yin-Yang Orb that appears right before Cirno appear properly?

I play the game in windowed mode usually, I DO see the background change, and it's during that change when it crashes. The Yin-Yang Orb that appears right before Cirno doesn't get a chance to even show up before it crashes.
