Evolve/maxlv/maxbond your Normals, read through their stories, and feed them to your Rares. Later on in the game when you have all the rares, you may want to feed them fresh rares with the same skill (the group has subsets of Smile, Pure, and Cool "mains" that determine what active skill they get). The next logical stage would be when your team is composed entirely of Super Rares, then Ultra Rares, et cetera.
Also, is it efficient to do things on the most difficult level possilble?Yes, especially in regular events. HD gives 46 exp (and 16 event tokens total if you don't miss any, 1 extra), and EX gives 83 exp (27 event tokens total, 2 extra). However, it is NOT worth it to try them too early on when you don't have enough rares and can't get at least a C score, as the game will scale down your gains.

10+1 just refers to the free roll you get if you drop 50 gems at once. I did indeed choose to roll outside of an event though. Mostly because I'm not sure if said event is even coming.
yeah rolling the 10+1 is a pretty bad idea without the guaranteed SR events, loveca is better used on regular and score match events so you know you at least get an SR in under 10 loveca provided you're pretty active
On the topic of leveling your girls, rank s-ed maps will drop you level 8 or 7 girls which can help immensely in leveling.
I now have enough furnd points to scout x10. Is this something i should do or should i wait for an event or something?
Edit: almost rank 15 but sill no 'r' drops. I scouted 20 times too just cuz i figured it was more important to get some decent girls so s ranks are effing possible than it is to wait for who knows how long for who knows how small a bonus. Im seeing lots of people lower rank than me with 4, and even 6 star girls making me feel bad.

Feeding duplicates that you no longer need cuz you already have an idol of the same type doesn't seem to work very well after level 20 or so. I tried feeding some level 1 trash some other level 1 trash then feeding it to who I wanted after hitting like level 5 and it doesn't seem to be any more effective than just feeding both level 1s (actually seemed less effective).
So far I'm not finding the game hard in the sense of completing anything on hard for, but I find it's very easy to break your combo when you get one of those hold notes that last a long time and you're busy with the other finger mashing like 4-5 notes when the hold note ends... I mean I have a hard time catching its end while I'm distracted with the other notes.It comes with practice, don't sweat it (or do if you're a sperg like me)
I also get nailed by hold notes that end just as my leader's combo super power thing procs covering the screen with her portrait so I miss that tail thing and...yeah.. argh.You can turn off cut-ins in options.

As a general rule. if you don't spend loveca, you can (just barely) get one SR as a point-based reward. You likely have to spend your free loveca to get the second SR, and you'll have to drop a shitton of cash to get the third (for a free skill level up or what have you). So yes, pay2win in the end, but it's not quite so bad if you only want to evolve. (URs though, goddamn.)

Also it seems to me that leveling up your girls just isn't that significant, if you want more stats, you're better off having duplicates of the better girls than bothering to level up the lower level ones.. so a "band" full of girl #7s and 8s along with your rares are the way to go IMO...Naturally you wanna bond up all the girls eventually for that free heart but once you do that, you may wanna consider hoarding the tier 7-8 girls, or simply not ever use them to feed others until you have enough to fill up your band.
Also, I've scout X 10 5 times now, still only that 1 rare. according to the dialogue box, drop rates are 5%, why am I shafted in this game too. whyyy.

I dunno, looks like at level cap the higher "tier" (7 and 8 I was talking about before) normal girls stay better than lower ones (though they start, and end with 1 less hp if you want that, I'm only concerned with score atm).
Note though that the "tier" 9 that starts with the "tier" 6ish stats I mentioned earlier DOES grow much better and tops the "tier 8" normals at level cap..
And I already mentioned wanting to bond up all the girls for love gems (I called em hearts though cuz derp).
Also, I'm not sure how you at all thought I was talking about max bond. Each max level unique girl counts towards an album reward that is a love gem, so it behooves you to max them anyway.

You actually get 1 love gem/heart token/wtf its called from level capping AND bond capping each girl I believe, sooo... do both with all at least once! It'll only take you 7 months to begin getting S on HD charts, and that's with UR friend partners, and of course you'll still be treated as a lower-class gaijin in score match events, so whatever free loveca you get will be worth even less :V

During this event, you will see special Rhythm icons with a "Macaron" attached in all of the songs played in Live Shows.
Tapping this icon earns you Macarons and Event Pts.
The B-Side song "Sweet & Sweet Holiday" which can be played using Macarons, will earn you more Event Pts. compered to the other regular Hits.
The amount of Event Pts. you gain from playing "Sweet & Sweet Holiday" will vary depending on your Score and Combo Rank

I think rank is bogus. I went from 15xx to 5xx in one song, then fell back down to 18xx after i spent all my LP, then logged and looking now i jumped back to 10xx while offline overnight.
So... I may have misread the time and the event actually starts in 10 hours. Then again, I blame all of you for not reading the event notice :V
A more realistic explanation is everyone stopped holding onto their stones at the same time :vTouche. But if you do see someone with 100k points about 3 days in, that's quite telling.

Event rankings only update every hour or so, so the last few hours of the event are a frantic rush to secure a spot at least 1000 places above the minimum for your target reward, only to find out post-maintenance that you either:
1. Missed it anyway because everyone managed to grind more optimally than you, or
2. Overshot it so much that you regret using those last 5 loveca you hoped to save for the next event.
Touche. But if you do see someone with 100k points about 3 days in, that's quite telling.

If you treat the title of 3 star as "rare" then yes. I just look at it at the angle of spending cash to get stuff that is more valuable/difficult to obtain in this game, where pad can (and often effing does) give you stuff that not only can you obtain without cashing, but is often something not even worth getting without cashing even with a reliable chance of obtaining them (mystic knights, golems, most healer girls, siggy, highlander, etc).
That said, I do like how pad does kinda let the player reliably obtain more powerful stuff later in the game without neccesarily getting lucky.. this game seems like ANYTHING other than a 1 star from scouting/lives is a damn miracle like getting siren from sea cave mercury or a vampire from castle of satan.

Not sure, but I think it's likely you wanna hold of rare scouting at least until we get an event that caters to it (jpn gets ones that guarantee at least one super rare from time to time).
Despite the fact I'm "further" in my new game than my original, I'm still effing missing a normal girl (the "tier" 9 normal blue), and only have got 1 of quite a few, preventing me from idolizing them (tier 8 and 7 normal smile girl comes to mind).

So i almost s-chained mermaid fest hard after only a few tries... But one damn hold note snuck up on me during a relatively easy/steady part and ai just tapped with the rhythm instead of hold down and... Yeah.
I hate hold notes. Half the time they dont even ofcur during a long note in the music, super counter intuitive.

If you're saving Loveca for the 50+1 roll, then it's better to be outside the top 1000 because Loveca is more useful than 1 free roll :V

She's like barely any better than her regular counterpart, with like less than 100 more stats, meanwhile other super rares tend to have like 500ish more stats. She does have a better lead passive, but so do all the other SRs.

She's definitely worth it if you don't have a SR. She isn't some gimpy faux-sr or anything like some of the promo cards are, she has a great passive lead bonus, and her stats are all near 3000 or better.

So I found out thru experimentation that happy holiday hard is worth doing instead of normal with the addition of SR kotori. Thank the goodness since it's more fun, slightly more rewarding, and takes less time chowing down macarons. Haven't managed to S-rank it yet, I keep flubbing up at around note 200 or so (210 is my max combo).
My song rank for hard when I just tried it once without sr kotor was 7063 (edit: 3482 now, yay)... can't wait to see how high it gets after it updates.
That said overall event ranking.. looks like the number of people turning on afterburners far far outweighs those who are taking it easy after reaching 11000 points. Getting to 11000 and even rank 1000 for the first time was relatively easy even without spending hearts.. now I've spent 4 and I'm struggling just to stay below 1000th.

Well i kinda wanna be casualish too but figured i better make a solid effort for at least the first few events because they ARE vietually free super rares. I mean for all the effort it takes its still far far less than blowing 55 hearts for an 10+1 during an event with a sr that we may not even get (i know you can get without the event but i anticipate this game to burn me with bad luck like so many others). Then once i HAVE a couple super rares, i can be more competative in future events for less effort with my op SRs =p.

Just my one sr from the last 10+1, and my idolized event kotori..but those are the only 2 sr's I have, and they both are green. so if I only get one sr again with the next 10+1, and IT is green too.. imma be sad...Mostly because the next time I'll get enoguh hearts to 10+1 a 3rd time will be far far far longer than these last 2. since you get alot more hearts starting out than you do once you already have S's everywhere, a near full bonus album, no more daily *3 hearts, etc, etc.

But getting the event SR is pretty easy. If you waste little LP, you can achieve it by the second last day easily. Also, EX and 4x should be out tomorrow if we're still following Taiwan version.

Even if you played only on Normal, you'd only need about 2300 tokens total. Just saying that 3000+ is probably a miscalculation.
It probably makes the most sense to level your SR as it will provide the biggest boost to your Pure team. Healers become kind of useless once you get used to the songs.
Out of curiosity (and boredom) I did a spreadsheet and, assuming I go for it, I'm looking at over 100 songs total (non-event + event) to accumulate the points needed to get the SR. This is assuming I do nothing but 15 LP songs for tokens (16/song) and consistently earn at least an Normal-difficulty A/A on the event song during the 4x. I honestly don't know if I'm going to have the free time to do such a thing even if I wanted to. Then again, if the cutoffs end up similar to Honoka's event, succeeding would also place me only ~2k-2.5k points shy of the top 4000 (scouting ticket). Still, that's quite the grind for afilthycasual like me.

I used up at least 45 (in each) to get Tier 1 in the Honoka, Eli, and Nozomi events. Aim for at least 38k if that's what your goal is. If you're aiming for Tier 2, I'd say at least 29k.
At that point, why not just use 50 loveca to roll for a UR >_>
Went to ~27.5k, over stoned a bit for tier 2. Oh well, Rin confirmed for unpopular.

You get more points from score match, basically you'll get it same timing as regular events, hell maybe even fasterThe catch is, the more you play, the higher the chance is that three other people will outscore and thus outpoint you.
