Title: Why can't I get my fight stick to work for the Touhou fighting game!!

               Hello, I'm new to the community and recently I discovered the community based Touhou fighting game. I really really liked it when a friend of mine introduced it to me. But when I got it and tried to configure my Quanba Q4 fight stick, the game basically read only the buttons I mapped and not the joystick (for movement). So I would just like to know how in the world do I make this work and if anyone is kind enough to help me please be so kind as to refrain from using a bunch of abbrieviations because that will confuse me, thanks guys and I hope to fight you guys in the future..

Get JoyToKey or another key mapper that translates the button presses to keyboard presses. The Touhou fighters don't understand POV switch input.
