So, this is my page for the mods I'll be developing.
These are mostly for Ten Desires, but I might do more for other games.

These mods are really nice.
When trying out Kourin I realized only halfway through when he started talking about being a shrine maiden that it is still the original dialogue. (Maybe he is, who knows...)
I just never really played much as Sanae and it was really fitting.

The only thing that is left is to replace Marisa with Yuuka.  d:

I can't think of any lines suitable for Rinnosuke, so I didn't change the dialogues.
So as for Marisa to Yuuka, I'm on it.

I have absolutely no experience with modding and stuff but lasers looked to me, like they could potentially be difficult to replace without changing the effective outcome. Then I realized that here they are just like normal projectiles since they don't pierce anymore. I think, it's difficult for me to explain now, since there is actually no problem.
Lasers just have always been weird in Touhou if I think back to PC98 where they weren't grazeable and in the earlier games had seemingly weird hitboxes where you could still not get hit after they've spawned for a short amount of time and such stuff.

The dialogues are hilarious by the way from what you have posted.

Yeah, it's hard to change the lasers.
I thought of possible replacements, and here it is.
Same for the missiles.
The missiles are just Yuuka's flowers, just recolored.

I agree with what Kimidori said. I honestly don't think ANYONE in Touhou is really the type to cluster F-bomb everything ever. She's more of the playfully sadistic type (see: Mystic Square). That kind of language just doesn't seem right in a Touhou game.

I do think, that there are scenarios where Yuuka could take on a more vulgar attitude. If I remember right, she didn't react too composed to being disturbed in her sleep during LLS and she could potentially lose her temper if something were to happen to her flowers. Also I think that this version is quite funny if you are not taking it too serious.

But seeing the disapproval of the dialogues for Yuuka I took the liberty to put together a proposal for a different version.



Backstory/Select Screen info:

A large amount of spirits suddenly appeared and covered Gensokyo, including Yuuka's Flowerfield.
Wondering if it is like that incident from some time earlier she went out to look into it.


Stage 1: Cherry Blossoms in the Nocturne Netherworld


Pre fight:

Yuuka: I rarely ever go to the netherworld...

Yuyuko: Oh, do we have visitors?
        I know you, you are that flower lady.

Yuuka: Exactly. Your garden is quite interesting
       but that is not what I am here for. You know something about these spirits, right?

Yuyuko: Spirits? You mean me?
        If you want to check on me, beat me first!


Post fight:

Yuuka: So. I beat you, now tell me. What is it with all these spirits?

Yuyuko: These are young divine spirits. Spirits born of human desires.
        Spirits are simply spirits. There's no relation to ghosts here.

Yuuka: Desires? That sounds completely different than that incident.

Yuyuko: So, what are you going to do now?
        Maybe visit the graveyard behind the temple?

Yuuka: Are you setting me up? Might as well go...




Stage 2: The Path to Myouren Temple

Pre fight:

Yuuka: This seems to be the place. Isn't there anyone interesting around?
       There was this youkai with the broom earlier...

Kyouko: Goooood morning!
        Are you a visitor or something else?

Yuuka: Well, hello. Aren't you a cheerful one.

Kyouko: I caaaaaaan't heeeeear you!

Yuuka: Are you making a fool of me? I suppose I could have some fun with you.

Kyouko: What do you mean by that?
        You seem sort of vicious...
        Please just move on...


Post fight:

Yuuka: Well. That was refreshing but not all that useful.

Kyouko: What are you even doing here?

Yuuka: Investigating. Just investigating...

Kyouko: And that warrants making such a ruckus in this peaceful temple?
        What are you even investigating?

Yuuka: She mentioned the graveyard behind the temple...
       That is where I am headed.




Stage 3: Myouren Temple Graveyard


Midboss:

Yuuka: Ah. Haha.

Kogasa: What are you laughing at?
        I am in trouble here with this girl I've never seen.
        I just can't beat her...
        So please! Help me! Umbrella buddies in arms!

Yuuka:  Ha, you seem really insistent about this.
               Somebody really robust? Seems interesting enough. But you're on first.


Pre fight:

Yuuka: Soo, where's this girl that Tsukumogami mentioned at?
       Ugh... rotten, stale air...

Yoshika: Dooon't come any closeeer!
         This isn't a good place for the likes of you to enter!

Yuuka: I can guess what you are getting at. But even in such places flowers would grow.

Yoshika: Huh?

Yuuka: Never mind. I was told you were a guardian.

Yoshika: Oh, really?

Yuuka: You would be more useful as soil...

Yoshika: Hey, that's mean. I'm a Jiang Shi! I remember now!
         We were revived to protect the mausoleum!

Yuuka: Mausoleum? First I've heard of something like that.

Yoshika: I can't let you enter! Whatever the reasons for that were...
         And I won't let you make me food for your flower!


Post fight:

Yoshika: Curse yoooooou! I've been done iiiiin!

Yuuka: Haaa...
       That wasn't as exciting as I imagined. Kind of like a punching bag.

Yoshika: Punching bag? Are you looking for a workout?

Yuuka: So do you know anything about these divine spirits?

Yoshika: Divine Spirits? What're those? Are they nutritious?

Yuuka: (Yes. Soil. But not for my precious flowers.)
       Well, you rest in peace, now.


Yoshika: Make sure to wake me up tonight at ten.

Yuuka: I feel like nobody is taking me seriously today.




Stage 4: Accelerating Tastes - Cave to the Dream Palace Mausoleum


Pre fight:

Yuuka: Hey, a meaningful-looking door. Down here?
       This has to mean something.

Seiga: Welcome! Were you led here as well?

Yuuka: I suppose so, by noisy youkai and a punching bag.

Seiga: It appears you took care of my delightful underling back there...

Yuuka: Oh, that was yours? You seem like someone who knows their way around here.
       Care to elaborate on the situation?

Seiga: Yes. And I do know what happened here. But I won't tell you.

Yoshika: Hup. I'm back.

Seiga: Once you die once, you never die again.

Yoshika: It's not evening yet, is it?

Yuuka: Obviously she would revive, having a master...

Seiga: Still morning Yoshika.
       Now then, shall you fight again? Against she who attracted the divine spirits
       to this mausoleum....

Yuuka: Well, here I am fighting two at once... No, this is not the time for this.
       You shall tell me all you know once I am done with you!


Post fight:

Seiga: What a sight. You seemed experienced from the start.

Yuuka: Well, I've been around for quite some time.

Seiga: Well, not that I would stand any chance against a youkai of your caliber.

Yuuka: Like I care...

Seiga: So, what is it you seek?

Yuuka: Finally willing to speak.
       These divine spirits are covering Gensokyo and have me worried that something like back then
       is happening again. And I could use some excitement.

Seiga: Divine spirits you say...
       I think they're just vulgar spirits praying to be turned truly divine by her power...

Yuuka: 'her' power?




Stage 5: Blood of the One with Latent Power - Dream Palace Mausoleum


Pre fight:

Yuuka: I can't see an entrance to this structure.

Futo: Ah, so the day has finally come.
      You who has come to celebrate in my resurrection! Who are you?!

Yuuka: Yuuka Kazami

Futo: My name is Mononobe no Futo.
      My resurrection signifies that one who opposes that of the Crown Prince's has appeared.
      And you seem to be of malicious intent.

Yuuka: If you want to word it like that.

Futo: Indeed. I shall not have you disturb the rise of the Prince!
      I shall do you in with my fusion of Taoism and the Mononobe arts!

Yuuka: Well, if you really want it that way, I will indulge myself.
       Prepare yourself.

Futo: How rash!
      To even go against proper etiquette not having her opponent the last word.
      I won't let you advance!


Post fight:

Futo: Oof... Are you perhaps training?

Yuuko: Not for this kind of thing. That comes naturally.

Futo: I see... I was resurrected, but cannot yet wield my power well.
      in that case, I suppose I am unable to stop you.

Yuuka: (How cheap. I  could beat anyone right after waking up.)
       Well, I'm going to go investigate in here.

Futo: No, please wait a moment!
      There's something drifting around you...
      Vulgar spirits?! Could this mean...
      The Crown Prince is being resurrected!
      I cannot stay! Pardon me!

Yuuka: Look at her running.
       Oh whatever. Now she's even less likely to prevent me from entering.



Hold Harmony Sacred - Divine Spirit Mausoleum


Yuuka: Who needs a grave this big?
       Seems like a waste of space.

Miko: Important people always received special treatment, no matter if they ask for it or don't
      What leads you here?

Yuuka: Investigations. What is it with this place?

Miko: Take a look around you.
      The fleeting lights that shine like stars in the sky - they are all human desires.
If one can see these desires, they understand all of humanity. As they are in the past, present, and future.
      If one wished, they could call this mausoleum Gensokyo's akashic records...

Yuuka: So you know all about someone once you meet them?
       These spirits here have gathered because of you, right?

Miko: Indeed. You seem to be quick of mind!

Yuuka: Get to the point.

Miko: The desires, instinctively aware of my resurrection, gathered of their own accord.

Yuuka: How convenient...

Miko: What are you going to do now, having found out what you were investigating about?
      Probably defeat me to get rid of the source, right?

Yuuka: what a strange day. Everybody seems to want a beating...


Miko: You cannot handle these desires.
      You require my ability to hear ten desires at once and understand them all!
      Just try to defeat me! You shall experience my power!




Didn't write anything for the Ex-Stage. Didn't quite have it in me today to look into that.

Expect an update before Nov. 10. The update is now uploaded.

The update has Yuuka's dialogues changed.

Looks good mostly.
But I think Futo's last line needs another rewording since she basically repeats, what she said earlier with "Now inscribe into your flesh the fusion of Taoism and the Mononobe arts!" (but since Yuuka throws Futo off in her speech it could also fit for her to just repeat herself in confusion.) and you seem to have forgotten to change the select screen.

And it's also really weird for me to play with the dialogue I wrote mostly myself, safe for some edits.^^
