Title: Touhou 14 Direct3D problem

So I've managed to get the full version of Touhou 14, and I'm seeing this error:

From what I understand, Direct 3D failed to launch. Does anyone know what the likely reasons are?

You can't play it at full resolution on fullscreen. Idk why, that persists since the demo.

I can play the demo fullscreen at full resolution just fine. (every combination of modes works fine for me) Dunno what's going on here.

Really? It never worked for me even though my laptop runs at a resolution that's bigger than that. I have to play at 960 that's not even properly supported (it gets misplaced)

Does it work at other resolutions Seiryuu?

I had this problem too, but I don't know what it was or how I fixed it. I just kept changing up my settings and re-installed twice, and eventually it worked. Unfortunately I can't really help more than that, but you're not the only one with this problem.

Your monitor must first support 1280x960.

I can only do 960x720. And even then, the game won't work if I load it up into fullscreen. I would need to launch it in window first. I mostly play max res on window mode anyway.

Your error is cause by the game not being able to run in that resolution, on your monitor.

Ah, so it's just a resolution problem. Thanks guys! I can run it  960x720 on fullscreen. Damn resolution limitations...

Ah yeah, now I can play in full screen too, here the biggest resolution only worked in the window-mode, I can use the 960x720 resolution but then the game screen became unaligned. 640x480 FTW XD
