Introduceing Ratchet and Clank... THE MOVIE. (http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/04/23/ratchet-and-clank-animated-movie-headed-to-theaters?abthid=517688abe072c21032000016)

Yes, that's right, someone's turning Ratchet and Clank, a game from over 10 years ago now [Wow, that makes me feel old!] into a movie targeted at at families.

The R+C franchise has many great characters, like Quark, and since the movie seems to cover the first game [Although the plotline is different apparently, for obvious movie reasons, it's still about the Original, with Drek], we hopefully get all of the tension between the two heroes, which was really memorable.

It states there will be some of the classic locations, and the movie will be full of gadgets and weapons [For example, the trailer shows the Grooveatron, one of the most iconic devices from the series, even if it wasn't introduced until the PS3 games]

So... opinions?

What.

Okay, now that I've caught my breath: I really really hope this doesn't end up making the rounds on "childhood ruined" discussions, just like the Avatar and Dragon Ball movies. The Ratchet and Clank games were my favourite ones on PS2 and they deserve some respect, I think.

Well, those were Live Action movies, this one here is an animated movie going with the graphical style of the games. So if they're working with the original writers and keeping up the good characters and humor, this could be pretty cool.
I'm sure hoping it will turn out nice, RnC is one of my favourite game series.

When I first heard about it I was all, "Oh god please don't let it be live action"

Then I saw the trailer and sighed a huge sigh or relief because they're keeping it animated as it should, with the same artstyle as the games. Now we just need the same comedy and we're golden.

R&C was one of my first PS2 games, and this looks pretty interesting!

According to the article, it seems like it will include elements from the first game (Drek) and the third game (the Galactic Rangers). Solana Galaxy, hell yeah!

If they keep the humor of the games (probably my favorite element of the series), then it's going to be Qwarktastic. :D
