Previous thread here and stuff (http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,13842.0.html)
This has been my past couple days, aside from being 50 seconds ahead of the AE1 100% WR after Hot Springs.

FCing all 5 parts of "The Games we Played" unlocks a song that is the full, 17 minute version. That's going to be a really fun chart.

This (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/337147/FE13LissaPerfectLevel.jpg) just happened in FE13 today. I am excite. :3c

I try to do all-female runs of every Super Robot Wars. Not on my first playthrough, mind you. I'm not that crazy.
So far, I've done MX, Alpha 3, OG Gaiden, and K. I'm in Alpha 2 and 2nd OGs right now. I haven't done it on 2nd Z Saisei, but I could if I wanted to. It's not really feasible in W, because that's such a male-tilted game. I wouldn't want to do it in L, because I don't like it all that much. I haven't gotten to it in J because I'm on my first Touya run in English. I'm pretty far in, but I'm just lazy. I don't have enough money in A Portable, but that game's not that great, anyway. Don't like regular A enough. Doing Raul in R right now, or I should, I dunno. I get really nihilistic sometimes. Not bothering with D because I can't get into it. I'm not even sure if you have enough characters. I COULD do Z. Kind of in a Rand playthrough now, though. At least Special was easy to unlock in that.
Not bothering with OG1s (probably not enough characters or high enough attack power), but I could in OG2s. Note that "OG2s" and "OGs2" are different things (the former being the PS2 version of OG2, the latter being "2nd OGs" on PS3). A lot of the old games aren't high-powered enough (no PP) and are skewed towards main characters and the like. The one thing I can say is that the older games let female characters have Soul. Nowadays, you never see it outside of birthday selections, or when Asuka from Eva or Ryoko from the Nadesico movie is involved. Well, it's in the Original Generations tri-duology or whatever it's called, because of Katina (no surprise there; even with five spirits she has it @ 55 SP).
I know it's not very accomplishment-y, but I don't do anything impressive or get lucky whatevers. I can play Idea Factory games without my brain melting out of my ears in sheer boredom/badness, but I think that means I'm insane.
-
Just beat Ys I Chronicles+ on Nightmare mode today. A couple of the bosses were more random LUCK than skill that was needed, but all in all it was pretty fun, and just how I expected it to be-brutally challenging for me. Should be interesting to see how Book II compares, since apparently I get magic and stuff now!
(Oh right, my Nightmare run was my first runthrough of Ys I, and I stuck with that difficulty when I moved onto the second game, so I dunno how things feel on lower difficulties at all.)
-
Because I have a penchant for being good at extraordinarily awful games.
Seriously though, fuck this game.
[attach=1]
-
Scored my first Perfect on Project Diva f. It's Rin's first song on the list on Normal difficulty.
-
Just beat the last mode of Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy. Hero 3 can die in a fire, since there's pretty much NO room for error, at ALL, but it's cool. sucks that I don't get the Sound Test 'cause it's not the PSP version of HMH, but I'll make my own instead.
-
Hoo boy!
I managed to beat Smithy in Super Mario RPG without the use of the Lazy Shell, Rock Candies, or any other such broken whatevers at level 18 in my first runthrough.
I finally got around to beating Cackletta's Soul, in what was otherwise a no-dodge run.
Hm... what else?
I've been working on my video game too much to play others.
Can I list accomplishments from games that I've made? :V
-

Now go without equipment at all and beat Smithy!
Cackletta's Soul was a cheap shot from the developers, though storyline-wise it makes sense at least, given they WOULD be rather beaten up after that...
-
You know, I have completed a full no-dodge no-equipment run of Bowser's Inside Story. And also, a low-level no-equipment run. But low-level no-dodge no-equipment is rather impossible to do.
-
I beat the original Spyro the Dragon again today.
Without killing a single enemy or entering flights :o
Totally worth it, gems are really tight as even allowing damage to enemies (mostly comes into play in Blowhard, hitting him once to open access to the rest of the level was enough gems) and manipulating enemies to hitting other things, I had 6092 gems. You need 6000.
-
As of tonight, I've beaten both halves of Ys I&II Chronicles+ on Nightmare mode. Ys II was a LOT easier, and didn't cheapshot me at all. It was basically Ys: The Danmaku Game for boss fights, but I'm OK with that. The last two bosses NOT being vulnerable to your magic was cool too as a throwback to the first Ys's boss style.
Also Shield ring plus Roda Fruit is silly.
Oh right, quickly beat the Ys II Time Attack as well. Only gotta do Ys I's and i'm all done!
-
I beat the worst Castlevania game ever (that is, Castlevania: The Adventure) without using a continue.
-
Cleared Non-Stop
Bitchslap Bullshit Orgasm Climax difficulty in Bayonetta and proceeded to platinum it.
Gonna probably go back to trying to platinum infamous as soon as I have the time for it (Read: Am not lazy.)
-
I find it hard to believe no one has done anything they think is worth bragging about in 10 days :V
I managed to improve my WR for Super Mario 63.
by about a minute and a half (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nI_d-LPSsfM)
Worth the watch I'd say since it's 13 and a half minutes long.
Though how I improved by that much with more deaths...
-
I platinum'ed Heavy Rain, after FINALLY discovering what the deal was with Kamikaze.
Do it slowly, not quickly as common sense says.
And now am doing another inFamous run to platinum that as well.
Also finished Cross Edge, :derp:
@Edit
Platinum'd inFamous.
That's my fourth Platinum, now... Only Final Fantasy XIII Left on the "Immediate Platinums" list :colonveeplusalpha:
-
I only have XIII-2's platinum. I did 1,000 XIII on the 360 though which is basically the same thing though.
I'm working on Disgaea 3 and 4 platinums though, and those will probably feel so good once they happen. I'm a lot closer on 3, but I've been focusing on 4.
I wouldn't even want to try to platinum Infamous. I don't even really plan to play that, but the idea of possibly ending with the 349/350 glitch would be so bad.
-
Finished Star Ocean Last Hope International...wait, I didn't just finish the story(already did that years ago), I collected all trophies too.
YEAAAA, beat that!
Oh, and I beat Project Diva f songs in Hard.
-
Finished Corpse Party: Book of Shadows without getting any Wrong Ends.
... I feel as if this has taken part of the experience from me, though. Oh, well.
-
Just beat Recettear's main mode today. Also got the high scores on all 4 chapters of Kirby Quest in Kirby Mass Attack.
Neither of those was especially difficult or anything, but it's something! Gotta finish up the main game eventually(only a little into Stage 2), plus all the other good stuff in there. Not sure if I'll go for all the medals or not, probably not since the game, while fun, isn't nearly as entertaining as 'standard' Kirby games for me. Reminds me, I really need to get Dream Collection one of these days for all the neat stuff in the special edition, plus to own Super Star again after I gave away my copy to a friend.
Also probably gonna beat inFamous this week sometime if all goes well and/or I don't get distracted by other games.
-
Super Metroid completed for the first time. 6:54, 100%, animals saved.
I prefer Fusion.
-
I just finished Super Mario Sunshine 100% for the first time on my Stream just a few minutes ago (again thanks to those who watched) Feel pretty good now lol.
-
(http://puu.sh/2ylxs)
Improved both my time and my death amount. Could be reduced to 44 minutes if I didn't play way too stupidly from the breakout room onwards (at least I killed The Guy at first try). Still, I'm glad I managed to do it in under 50 minutes twice. :3
edit: lol puush broke the image link, but I already improved this anyway
-
Does this count? Because it felt like it should. :V
Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention, I decided to speedrun through the item world. For a twist, I set a side goal too: I have to do it in a rank 39 item, Land of Carnage, and it's not "done" until I leave with the stolen rank 40 weapon, zero rarity.
Asking my stopwatch, times are 20:54 (mm:ss) to reach floor 99 in a Drill Emperor then escape, another 2:40 of resetting for the rarity zero Flare Phoenix. Final time 23:34 to turn the r39 into r40.
I have nothing to compare it to, but I was pretty happy about finishing under 25mins. That as far as I know is pretty damn fast.
also no video proof because I wasn't trying to set a record just having fun. i could get a picture of the speedran drill emperor with terrible stats though if you'd like.
-
(http://i.imgur.com/l8ykNtU.png)
...and suddenly my time improves by almost 10 minutes. This is thanks to using nice tricks I learnt from both GachiM's time attacks and some TAS run, like skipping Kraidgief, taking a shortcut by teleporting to the factory section through the Kraidgief's portrait instead of going downwards and waiting that platform displacement thing, playing much aggressiver at Dragon Devil, and other few tricks done via save+R. The rest of the time was saved thanks to not dying to the infamous Crush Room thanks to me developing a much safer way to survive through the spikes (by positioning the pistol at a certain spot), and not dying to that giant and long and boring spike maze. Well, I gotta take a break from this game for now.
-
You're actually not too far off of this: http://speeddemosarchive.com/IWannaBeTheGuy.html
Yes I know that's with saves and if you tell me you can't compare no saves and saves directly you're preaching to the choir :V
But you can compare the times to see how much farther a no saves run can go :P
-
I actually got most of the tricks from here (http://com.nicovideo.jp/community/co346110) and here (http://www.nicozon.net/watch/sm15049065). Although I didn't risk the Vic Viper suicide thing, which didn't really matter since I didn't die at the Mike Haggar run. There's also an interesting trick to kind of bypass the screen bullet limit at the Koopa Klown Kar boss, but despite being able to shoot fast with both hands I can't keep shooting for too long without getting my arm way too tired (I don't have man arms after all :V), so I did it the normal way.
And what do you mean by "no saves run"? Impossible? I'm way far from that. :V
-
Just reached 39/50 Spartan Ops missions done solo Legendary no deaths in Halo 4.
http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/3585/legendarystats.jpg
I'm quite pleased with this and consider it an accomplishment since I expected after 33 that the rest would be damn near impossible. I could possibly reach 40 but I really doubt it. So um, yay.
The last one I got done today was hugely annoying with PitA insta-kills near the end (18-23 minutes, mission 2-5 if anyone even plays them).
That's the only thing recently :/
Edit: 40/50 now. (http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/4651/legendarystats2.jpg) And I'm certain that's it.
-
(http://i.imgur.com/FzJs0YK.png)
...okay, I couldn't resist improving my Very Hard time, since the previous one looked too ugly. Now I'm taking the break for real. :V I just got some new platform games to play anyway.

Hero's Tail 3rd speedway light gem challenge. Sub 1 minute.
Also, anything else in this playlist (http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRL1CPpSaOEAYG2sBoPk8DEV4Oet4BE_7). I am ripping this game (and someone else's speedrun) apart.

I Wanna Be The Guy no-deaths Boss Rush. Lol I'm not supposed to be still playing this, for my right arm's sake.
-
And more IWBTG shenanigans coming.
Improved my no-deaths boss rush time by over 1 minute, although I wasn't recording this time. Successfully glitched Kraidgief, and didn't cunt at Mecha Birdo, like on the video.
This doesn't matter much, but:
Improved my time/deaths on Hard by a small amount. It's the first time I finish the game with less than 60 deaths, so it's something.
-
So this happened somehow.

Managed to defeat Velo in Crash Nitro Kart.
Stupid track, 5 minutes long, difficult shortcut, must get it all 3 laps, Velo gets missiles, bad hitboxes everywhere...but I managed to win.
Also got 100% on Enter the Dragonfly and 106% on The Wrath of Cortex and all the platinum relics in Crash Warped. I've been on a completionism spree lately.
-
I don't remember Velo being that hard, or the track being that bad, but it's been a while since I played that. Congrats. I was considering doing so and going for the platinums.
On the subject of Platinum Relics, I just got all of them for Crash Team Racing with N. Gin. No, I will not try to do it with the other character tiers, at least any time soon.
Though, that's pretty much get the platinum for N. Gin labs because he other ones are mostly easy. At least I didn't need all boxes for a few of the tracks, otherwise I'd maybe still be stuck on them. That N. Gin Labs 0:46:20(requirement 0:53:00) looks pretty nice though.
-
I've been working towards all CTR platinums too, Cortex Castle seems pretty rough, Hot Air Skyway does as well. Ironically I think N. Gin Labs is the one I'm most likely to get of the 3 I have left.

So my semi-hiatus of this game was worth something. I feel really good about this run. Too bad I don't have the needed specs to make a decent recording. :ohdear:

Honestly, you probably do by doing a bunch of shenanigans to optimize performance :V
Also I unlocked the Insomniac Museum in Ratchet and Clank 2 yesterday. In one sitting, 9 hours and 38 minutes. Not bad seeing as you need to get all the weapons leveled up and buy the RYNO II and Zodiac. Oh and you have to max nanotech, get all the crystals and moonstones, max the ship (easy because glitch) and get all of the platinum bolts.
-
Beat DOA5+ Arcade on Legend difficulty without continuing. And of course it was with Hayabusa, like I'm THAT good at the game.
-
I got all of the platinum relics in Crash Team Racing by picking off the last 3: N. Gin Labs, Hot Air Skyway and Cortex Castle.
N. Gin Labs was a bit challenging but very fun to do, assuming I got past the first jump lap 1 (grabbing the 3 crate was a pain and missing it was run over). Hot Air Skyway was tedious and annoying due to a ramp about 20 seconds into the lap with 3 time crates on it-all of which require a tricky jump to get. Oh and I did the glitch laps 2 and 3 and did a bunch of brakesliding lap 1 to grab all the boxes on the segment of track I skipped it was fun. Cortex Castle was a matter of working out which boxes to get when and not missing the 3 crate off the ramp at the end-winning run got it lap 3.
Worst track to get platinum on was Papu's Pyramid followed by Coco Park. I spent an hour+ on the first and a half hour on the latter, because in both there's a lot of awkwardly placed boxes and Papu's Pyramid requires not 1, not 2, but 3 stupid jumps to go right. (supposed to be 4 but I managed it without the corner cut shortcut at the end)
-
Gots myself Harumi in Subway Surfers after almost of 5 hours-straight of playing.
Not a big achievement but damn is that game repetitive!
-
(http://i.imgur.com/rtgrVcf.png)
I forgot how fun playing this game glitchlessly was. This could potentially beat my 30 minutes one if I played with glitches (Kraidgief himself takes about 1 and half minutes when done w/o glitching, less than 1 when glitched, and can be skipped with a suicide before his room. Tetris room and the room after it can be skipped as well, and a few other things that don't count that much). Still, I don't regret it. :3
-
Just uploaded a glitchless IWBTG speedrun onto YT (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13WqpXoVZdg). The run's from ~4 days ago or something, and the time's a bit better than the one from my previous time, although the video is about 42 minutes (credits included, but I think most of it is because of semi-laggy recording, or the savefile time counter is innacurate). The quality kinda sucks, but that was needed to make a recording while keeping the game playable. The vid's unlisted for now... I'm gonna make some annotations
giving excuses explaining some mistakes (like the death at the very beginning of The Guy because my room was dark and I mashed the wrong button after inverting my hands to machinegun him), plus some good description, when I feel like, and then make it public I guess.
-
3rd run of Ape Escape 3, and I'm already 2nd place.
subbed 1:40, and again I still feel like my run was complete crap XD
I can point out so many mistakes, I can get a 1:35 easy. just need to practice a few of the bosses a bit more.
-
I got ENDURANCE.GAMER (1cc the game in one sitting) in BIT.TRIP CORE while utterly exhausted from work. Granted, Easy Mode and I've done it before on Hard on COMPLETE, but when you can barely see straight as is, it's a good thing I can hemorrhage Beats and not fall into Nether.
(this post was written right after, and I had to retype words over and over and over again to get them right)
-
FINALLY got to the second level on Syobon Action.
-
Disgaea 3 Platinum Trophy obtained.
Did the 255 combo, 10 billion damage, Reverse Pirate Trophies all in a row today. Got a perfect map for Reverse Viking first try. Accidentally left a slime out on turn 2 and it died, but I was close enough that I was still able to finish the requirement, so got all 3 Reverse Pirate trophies in one go. Then I finished things off by magichanging 5 times in 1 battle because I hadn't bothered to do that one yet.
-
Just got all gold medals in the Pokemon Emerald BF :)
-
I beat Bowser in Super Talking Time Bros 2 just now. Yay! They really made an interesting final world:
It takes place inside Bowser's Castle itself, and you have seven levels before that where you go through a short level, then fight one of the Koopalings. The final level is hard (for me at least), but not as epic as some of the other final levels. The Bowser fight at the end is just like the one from SMB3, but after you kill him, it takes you to another level where you fight--big surprise--a giant version of Bowser. While he tries to pound you flat, you have to pick up the rocks that he spits and toss them at his eyes. I like levels like these, ones that put up a challenge but don't feel drawn out and/or full of BS.
Now for the laborious process of collecting all the starts, which is a challenge but I think I can do it!
-
Launched my first 3 kerbals into a stable orbit, and have two satellites too, one in geostationary orbit.
Of course, MechJeb helped...

Try playing the Windows 8 version, in Adventurer Mode. :V
On a related note, I finally beat level 31 off Candy Crush Saga with three stars! Geeze, if you're not paying for boosters, this game is brutal, both beating the game and getting three stars.

This (http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Sacchi_2008/SC_2013-07-0510-22-45-226.jpg)
My GOD it took me 300 Ice Burners for this, I almost went fuck this shit mode.
And I know it's not permanent since the Closed Beta is ending in two days.
But I got it, complete ElOfficer set, minus the hair and the accessories, which aren't in the CBT anyway, also the +7 Nasod Drill, shit's OP.
All that's left is someone giving me the Red Stone Shirt, my god. >_>''

So this happened. (http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y538/Bang_Jan/Impossiblewin_zps7c50cb7e.png)
Didn't lose a single life! :]

I just defeated Satan in Digital Devil Saga 2. For those that aren't aware, Shin Megami Tensei bonus bosses are notorious for their difficulty and the complicated strategies needed to defeat them. For this fight, I had to come up with a solid plan, memorize his elemental affinities (which rotate every turn), constantly buff myself so he dispells them instead of hitting me with a total party kill attack, keep track of how much health he has, remember what turn it is so I can counter one of his special attacks that he adds later in the fight, and hope he doesn't throw one of his screw you attacks into the mix that screws up my attack pattern. The fight lasts about 20 minutes, and I've been trying for the past three days to beat him. Oh man oh man that was SO good when he finally shrieked in agony and exploded. :D Just in time for Shin Megami Tensei IV.
-
I finished Picross-E. Man, that game is addicting...And surprisingly difficult on the later puzzles. Totally worth the five bucks I spent to get it. ^_^ Now I hope they make another down the line...
In the meantime, to-do list!
-MapleStory: Leveling up my Xenon, among other things.
-EO4: Made it to the midboss, but I got so annoyed with all his healing that I stopped playing for a bit.
-FFV, Four Job Fiesta: Made it to World 3! I gotta say, this challenge was pretty fun, I just hope I'll be able to beat Shinryu and ExDeath with my party (Monk, Red Mage, Ranger, Samurai). They're doable, but without healing I'll have to resort to Elixir spamming...And no, I'm not doing Omega. Screw him. =P
-SMT IV: I'm definitely gonna enjoy this game, especially when I'm on vacation at the end of July. I dunno what to expect from it, but it looks less like EO (Strange Journey sure looked like EO) and more like Nocturne, which I don't mind at all.
-
I beat Rise's dungeon in P4 Golden the very first day it was available. Usually I'm crazy paranoid and grindy and stuff, but I guess I just really wanted to have a competent enemy scanner. Teddie's voice was starting to get on my nerves. Well, I think his and Chie's new voices are better than their old ones. But I'm a tone-deaf old man who likes metal so CLEARLY I'm wrong.
Then when I sold all the enemy drops I made around 120k yen. And then I bankrupted myself buying gear. Easy come, easy go. Gyah hah hah!

Now do Demi-fiend :o
I dunno what to expect from it, but it looks less like EO (Strange Journey sure looked like EO)
I played Strange Journey before any Etrian Odyssey game, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I didn't mind drawing my own maps ahaha.
To note, SMT started out with a sort of first-person perspective (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqvkKOfdIYw&t=410) before any EO games came out, heh.

Pok?mon Platinum: Capturing Girantina second try in three turns:
-Turn 1: Throw a Quick Ball, it fails. Girantina uses Shadow Force
-Turn 2: Because I knew my Bibarel wouldn't survive it, I used Surf. I forgot Ghost-type moves don't affect Normal-type Pok?mon so Shadow Force does no damage. Bibarel hits Girantina for small damage.
-Turn 3: I use Ultra Ball because. It captures Girantina.
-
Let's see...
Lef 4 Dead 2 - all single player campaigns cleared on Advanced
Unreal Tournament GOTY edition - cleared on all difficulties. (this achievement is several years old. Now I'd suck at the game if I played it again.)
Silent Hill 2 - All difficulties cleared
Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped - 100% cleared
Crash Team Racing - ditto
Soul Blade - all weapons collected in Edge Master Mode
Resident Evil 4 - All difficulties clear + the mini game
Dino Crisis 2 - all difficulties clear
The Witch's House - all endings lol
Commander Keen 4, 5, 6 - hard clears (you can save at any time so yeah... not much of an achievement)
Dune 2 - cleared with all 3 houses
One Must Fall 2097 - Tournament Mode cleared on all difficulties with all robots
Worms World Party - all training missions completed
The Game - lost it every time :P
-
Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped - 100% cleared
Crash Team Racing - ditto
105% and 101% I'm assuming? (all gold relics gives more%, all platinums is nothing but bragging rights. Which I have :V )
I did this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZnM3wTYp9I
It's a new record!

I suppose I do too. It was a very long time ago anyway.
And I forgot to add Mortal Kombat (the first one) cleared with all characters.

First try when I actually knew where everything was...uhh yeah that's pretty damn good :D
Space Station 1 was very very derpy, as you can see from 7 deaths in Trench Warfare.
The Lab was decent I guess, a few silly deaths but 1st try Bernoulli Principle and 2nd try I'm Sorry.
The Tower was awful. 6 costly costly deaths.
Intermission 1 was also pretty bad, I died in Do Try to Keep Up about 5 times, but got first try Not As I Do!
Space Station 2 had a mix of bad (5 deaths in Clarion Call lol), good (4th try Veni Vidi Vici!) and decent (4th and 6th tries for the frame perfect flips in Gordian Knot). I'm alarmed at my overall consistency at this area O_O
3 death Gravitron!!!!! (15 seconds, 15 seconds, 5 seconds)
Warp Zone had only 4 deaths, not counting the deathwarp after Edge Games, and they were all in I Love You and That's Why I Have to Kill You.
Final Level had something like 5 deaths, including 2 at the end of The Final Challenge, after the hard part ::)

Final Level had something like 5 deaths, including 2 at the end of The Final Challenge, after the hard part ::)
I beat this game these days with +-1500 deaths. Clearing the Veni Vidi Vici in 4 tries is a nice job :o

Playing Kirby's Dream Land II on a classic vacation-with-no-internet, I completed the game 100% without using a walkthrough once. I feel quite proud of myself figuring out every rainbow shard, even though I used the 3DS' savestate feature. I can't imagine how frustrating it must have been to do this without one and have to go to two separate levels to get the resources you need just to try again. x_x

I remember that fight. Satan gets nastier and nastier as his HPs get lowers. On top of that, if you don't finish him off when he's almost dead, he fully heals himself. X D
He's easier if you played Digital Devil Saga first as you have access to Gale's super fire spell.
That being said... (http://youtu.be/FdnE3QFkMhU)
Anyway, as for me, I managed to get the first title in La Pucelle Tactic which you get by defeating a level 509 of higher boss in the 10th floor of the Dark World.
Luckily for me, the boss was only a Haniwa. X D
The title will allow me to Purify demons and re...
What do you mean I can't recruit demons in the Dark World?!
I guess I'll have to finish chapter one and go the the Cave of Trial. X D

I beat Abyssal God in Etrian Odyssey 3. it took me about 15 tries until I finally figured out a good strategy. That was without a doubt the hardest RPG boss I've ever faced.

Just finished a Monk Solo Single Class Challenge on Final Fantasy V. Surprisingly the amount of time the run took was around the same as my Knight, at least in terms of game time that I didn't lose from game overs/resetting, probably a little more. I was also level 69 while my Knight was level 59. And I was going to go to 70 or 75 since Sulla's report mentioned going to 75, but I decided to try Exdeath at 69 and ended up not seeing any of his potential instakills outside of Grand Cross of which i got silenced and had nothing happen on the 2 I saw. My luck with Grand Cross in solos is pretty good so far though. First try final Exdeath on a solo class that can't nullify any of the instant death crap outside of Delta Attack(Magic Lamp Odin) is a huge surprise.
So now I've done FFV SSCCs with Knight, Monk, Blue Mage, and the Necromancer(GBA class) jobs. I'll probably redo those last 2 sometime for various reasons.
Now I need to finish my current FJF run before I start any more SCC/SSCC on FFV. I know there's a few bosses that really suck solo, but I find more fun in playing the single class challenges solo than with a team. Of course for some of them, I'd probably go with the team because solo probably would not be as fun.

Are we talking about hard bosses?
About 5 years ago I encountered a Japan-only game called Wizardry Dimguil, released for the Playstation back around 2000. It is hailed in Japan as the game to have one of the strongest boss in all of RPG history, yes, arguably even harder than Hitoshura in Digital Devil Saga (or at least as difficult as he is). This boss, however, is completely optional - it is the Diamond Drake, who sits in the back row protected by 3 Diamond Knights in the front row. The Diamond Drake has 32000 HP
, has the -128~ AC
and it, along with the Knights, both have the ability to attack with a 16 Level Drain strike. The Knights have significantly less HP at 28000
and have -100~ AC
. Both of them have the ability to: instantly kill you on normal hit, the ability to paralyze, confuse, petrify, sleep you at the same time on hit. They also regenerate 100 HP per turn.
This is a problem because of how Wizardry scaling works - your characters tend to deal low numbers and most bosses usually have HP values in the low thousands - these two fuckers have HP well over 10000, and have well over -50 AC, so it's really require an insane amount of level prep and such also to make allowance for the 16 level drain. There are a couple of strats available, usually involving the buffing of your party in order to stop the enemies from being able to hit you at all, while slowly raising the AC of the targets, before wailing at them with physicals, since they all have at least 80% magic resistance (the Drake has complete immunity to most things IIRC).
I was able to defeat them after a couple of tries, most of my wipes were due to the beheading connecting (which is urghhh).

Just beat the Hyper Hexagon stage in Super Hexagon with a time of 68.02, when my previous record on that level was barely over 30 seconds. Progress so far:
Hexagon: 108.11
Hexagoner: 63.08
Hexagonest: 14.13
Hyper Hexagon: 68.02
Hyper Hexagoner: 20.30
Time played (according to Steam): 5.5h
This game has me addicted. I think I'll hold off on DDC until more stuff gets translated.

I'm a big Paper Mario fan. I always had trouble with the boss, Lava Piranha, from
the Nintendo 64 game. It's the type of boss that you think you win at first, but
then it just respawns again. It's pretty rewarding, beating it.
Watching Chuggaaconroy is helpful when it comes to this boss.

Close to defeat the Ultimate Adversary of Persona 3, like, real close. Well, 'it' still cooked me good in the end due to my lack of High Counter skill.
There is no way I can defeat 'it' without patience, which I've been lacking for all the years of my life.

Got V rank on all the time trials in VVVVVV. That means for each area (SS1, Lab, SS2, Tower, Warp Zone and Final Level) I completed it without dying, with all the trinkets, within a par time. Here's my impression of the difficulty of each and where it came from, in order of easiest area to hardest.
Space Station 1: the tutorial area is completely trivial, outside of Trench Warfare. It was a matter of trying until I didn't die getting the trinket, and got out of the room successfully. The first trinket killed me a couple times, but it wasn't too hard.
The Tower: it's autoscrolling. Another matter of getting the trinkets and not dying, so nothing too bad. The second trinket comes sooner than Trench Warfare did, but there's more after to choke on. Slightly tougher, due to length.
Warp Zone: the first minute is trivial, then there's Edge Games. It's not too tough, but it's precise enough that about half my tries died there. After that, there's still the double whammy of I Love You and That's Why I Have To Kill You to survive. Beyond that, it's nothing too hard.
Those are the easy three, incidentally in the order I got them. Now for the hard ones.
The Lab: Young Man, It's Worth the Challenge is easy to screw up, as is The Bernoulli Principle. Vibrating String Problem can be dealt with by flipping off at the last frame of the previous room, leading into the only hard part: I'm Sorry. You have to make a very precise bounce, twice in a row. Well, first try getting there deathless, I got it. I was a nervous wreck after, but I didn't choke on the 3 easy rooms. This one could be tougher...but I got it quickly as my final V rank.
Space Station 2: this area has the hardest trinket in the game. Not Veni Vidi Vici. Gordian Knot. I won first try getting through Veni Vidi Vici anyway, since there's not much threatening in this three minute long area. For more details I made a blog post on this one (http://ihavenoname248.blogspot.com/2013/08/status-update-8132013.html). Definitely intense, but I got down Veni Vidi Vici pretty quick. This one was 5th.
The Final Level: despite no out of the way trinkets, the last level was the hardest for me, taking well over an hour of attempts. The problem wasn't the first half, but a series of rooms near the end of the level. Upstairs Downstairs ended countless runs until I nailed down a strategy for it. Timeslip ended most of the surviving runs due to how hard it is. Dial M for Murder murdered half of my surviving runs, ever. Beyond that, The Villi People ended one, where in shock I just started over. Cosmic Creepers felled one, to the same result. The Final Challenge was choked on once, but my second try really thing the room carried me to victory as my 4th V rank and first of the hard set.
Now to go practice The Gravitron until I can no death it reliably enough to beat no death mode! :D
-
Played some more Super Hexagon, and beat Hyper Hexagoner and normal Hexagonest. Also got a whopping 165:23 on normal Hexagon. Current progress:
Hexagon: 165:23
Hexagoner: 76:04
Hexagonest: 61:41
Hyper Hexagon: 75:33
Hyper Hexagoner: 62:38
Hyper Hexagonest: 11:13
Time played (according to Steam): 10 hours
I still got a long way to go if I want to beat Hyper Hexagonest. I'm struggling to even reach 10 seconds at the moment.

Recently, I've been working hard to do this thing legitimately:
And finally, I've done it. Final Fantasy VIII, by the way. yes I did timestamp and sign it, it goes in my accomplishments folder. and yes I admit I have no better camera than my PS Vita.
Short story: Back when I was young I used to use cheat codes (WHY) and I never ended up beating Omega fairly. I did at several points over the years go back and beat the main game normally, but it still didn't feel right that I had cheated to beat Omega back then. These days I would never even consider using cheats anymore, so I thought it was about time I actually did this. Started a new file and had everyone's ultimate weapons by the end of disc 3 (Lionheart during disc 2) and... he still killed me (as in game over, not single chara death) like 8 times before I got my strategy going properly :V My favorite death was the first, when I forgot he opens the fight with Lv5 Death and I didn't have death resistance set, so... Lv100 Party means instant wipe.
Well, there's my silly accomplishment of the day, in an old game that maybe only I care about anymore.

On Monday, I finally beat Ocarina of Time for the first time. I did it in about an hour :D

I improved the City Park time attack record in Ape Escape today.
From 3.26 to 3.23. That's a pretty big deal because it's 2 frames on something previously believed to have been maxed :V
Then I stole Cryptic Relics, improving my 13.01 beyond SSBMstuff's 12.18 with 12.89, 12.59, 11.69. Then I got an 11.00, he got a 10.69, I got a 10.59, he got a 9.97 and I'm currently leading with 9.82 (he's still trying to improve to a 7.xx [!] as I type). From there, with 7/19 WRs in tow, I moved on to Specter's Factory.
40 minutes later, I pulled a 3.06 to improve my old 3.90, with 2.97 being possible (I saw it happen, once). It's tough because there's about 25 seconds of technical stuff then luck, then easy movement then more luck: all on a tight timer of the timestop chain.
edit: I managed a 4th WR today with 1.75 (from 1.77) on Crumbling Castle, and SSBMstuff got a 6.70 [!!!!!] Cryptic Relics. Total of all WRs: 3:06.36, when it started the day at 3:13.xx

Double posting on the same topic like a boss :V
Finally broke the 53 curse (http://www.twitch.tv/ihavenonamesda/c/2922126) with a 50:19 Ape Escape any% run, moving on up from my old 4th place time of 53:12 up to 2nd place. This run was soooo goooood, both in terms of play and luck.
Oh also 2.99 Specter's Factory time attack sub 3 get :3

Cut the 1 in Ape Escape (http://www.twitch.tv/ihavenonamesda/c/2953773)...without using the infinite jump glitch.
This run...was something. For one, something like 3 years ago I jokingly said "I was to get under an hour in Ape Escape". Jokingly. Because the infinite jump wasn't discovered yet, so I didn't think it was possible. There was no community for the game, it was just me doing a run every once in a while. Then about...a year and a half ago (?) the infinite jump was discovered, and a community sprung up. I met some really cool people (<3 saboom), but at the back of my mind, sub 1 was always nagging. Even when I smashed the 1 hour mark with a 57:18 over a year ago, it still occurred to me that I hadn't truly subbed 1 just yet. We did a few no IJ races, I tried to get there a few times a few months ago, but stopped at a high 1:03. Well, after the 50:19 any% I pulled...this had to be next. I had to complete this goal that I already knew was possible from my earlier attempts, even less a slim PS2. I had to. and that's what I tried to do yesterday...but fell short with a 1:00:20. It was far from a bad run, but it just wasn't good enough. I kept trying for another 4 hours that day, but never managed to top it. This morning, I tried again. And failed. And failed some more. I failed Specter's Factory jumps/route, I failed Snowy Mammoth movement (kills the run if you fall down), I failed Hot Springs ice bridges (likewise), I failed at everything you could come up with.
But then, another average run began. It surpassed average with a catch of UFOless, and survived through Dark Ruins. I evaded the death in Cryptic Relics with a gold split (a gold split is the BEST you've ever had, across all runs), then matched it in Crabby Beach with some amazing movement. The run faded back to mediocrity after the monkey went for a swim in Coral Cave, and there was some time loss in Dexter's Island to RNG. I lost a further second and a half in Snowy Mammoth (hey, it's hard!) by playing it safe, and fell to +0.46 (behind) after Frosty Retreat went...badly. Something changed then. I wanted that sub so badly. I wanted to bring closure to that far-flung dream of sub 1. The fact that I was -right there- with splits that could do it with just better RNG in the final 2 stages gave me hope, gave me that drive.
Hot Springs went flawlessly, gold split. Sushi Temple followed it up saving 3 seconds, another gold. Wabi Sabi Wall went incredibly well, a 3rd consecutive gold split. I didn't mess up any of the complex movement within Crumbling Castle for a 4th gold in a row. Then City Park was again exactly according to plan-though I still have another 5 or seconds there. Doesn't matter, 5 gold splits in a row, -1:34. -1:34! That's on pace for sub 59 right there! And with the time I had to save in the final 2 levels, this could be sub 58 pace! Of course, all good things must come to an end, and I lost 12 seconds in Specter's Factory. It's a tough level, there's 2 brutally difficult jumps in it that my 1:00:20 got first try. Then, disaster struck. I went for a timesaving strategy on the TV Tower boss involving stalling the last hit...and missed by having the pellet go through the boss. Through the giant flying ship. I lost 37 seconds there...was the run over? Nah, I still had a forty something second lead, and a bit of time to save. Monkey madness, my movement was amazing (the people in my chat were going crazy) and I had time to save going into the final boss, which is all RNG. AND YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!!! I got trolled. Hard.
In the end, I barely subbed 1, but I did, and I'm glad I did. I just wish that that was 'teh urn (TM)' and not just random PB #27. It still means something pretty significant to me, though I know that the true target for this category is still a couple minutes lower.
Here's my splits for the end of the run, with the rise and fall of it all... link (http://imgur.com/wchHdX8) Oh, and I like writing up walls of text for significant events. And what could be more significant than meeting a previously unrealistic goal set 3 years ago, in front of ~60 people?
Damn, you and Saboom have been doing work.
You bet we have :D

So I was playing some YsF on PSP earlier. This ended up with me clearing Inferno Boss Rush. The time wasn't anywhere near decent(over 2 hours due to dying too much), but at least I cleared it. Maybe I'll try to improve on it someday.
-
I just cleared Advanced and Advanced extra in Super Monkey Ball DX. :o
I managed to beat Philosophy of a Hated Level Arthropod using an exact timing trick. :)
I got to extra and everything went well until Polar Large where I lost a continue.
I got confused on where to go in Dodge maze which cost me a continue.
Domes is my new hated level right next to Arthropod. This thing ate up the rest of my continues.
Amida Lot gave me some trouble but nothing I couldn't handle.
I had 3 lives left and three stages to go, I got past Long Slider and Grid Bridge without using a life.
I finally got to the final stage which was Teapot.
I lost 2 lives for trying to bounce into the cage with the goal.
For my final life, I just went to where I thought the cage lands. I said to myself," Please land on me"
It landed on me and I was able to beat it with 1 life and no continues remaining. :o

Skullgirls:

Skyrim:
Killed 5 guards before Slow Time wore off while storming Dragonsreach. First 3 by sword, switched over to crossbow and took out the next 2. (Would've killed all 6 of them if I noticed him.) Balgruuf probably crapped himself then and there after seeing 5 of his guards die in what was probably 3 seconds. It was like I was a friggin' Jedi.
Maxed out Slow Time + Overleveled Character + Loads of enemies = FUN!

Blazing Heart has just been released in KEls, just got her, this is an achievement because of sheer perseverance - one of the three drops is currently bugged and only drops a tenth of the time it's supposed to drop, which is a pretty low chance already, and the enemies it drops from aren't exactly common, either. And KOG - being KOG - refuses to fix this until next week.
Double Drop weekend, Return of Heroes double drop buff and full party drop buff, and it still took me forever.
I also like how they give us zero incentive to pick up her locked stuff, Inextinguishable Flame scales really poorly and it competes with Stigma of Fire, which adds a new burst of damage to combos with no additional KD, silences (it's literally the only thing in the entire game that silences besides a 200MP nuke) and even decreases foes's defense. Likewise, Wall of Prominence is just a fancier Heat Rune with less damage, and, competing with something so awesome and versatile as Scaldic Sword, and you can see that the choice becomes pretty obvious.

Yesterday, I played Yoshi's Story for the first time. I managed to get through the whole game on my first time playing only losing one Yoshi the whole game. :o
I had to go through Lots o Jellyfish and Mecha Castle to finish off the game.
I was getting so nervous throughout these two levels.
Especially, Mecha Castle with those spikes and crushers.

Phew, at last. In Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros I've managed to get all the collectables. All the Pi'illos, all Beans, all Photo Blocks, all Attacks, and yes, even all the Expert Challenges. Particularly the last one brought me a lot of frustration, and I often had to reload my save file when I flunked yet another challenge. Avoiding ten attacks in a row is a lot more difficult than it sounds, particularly in the later areas. I also reached Rainbow Rank, and got pretty much all the gear I want for both Mario and Luigi.
The only things missing (aside from the final battle(s), which I'm about to go to) are the Bros and Luiginary Mad Skillathon challenges, and the Boss Arena. While I might attempt the Boss Arena for fun, there's no way I'm doing the Mad Skillathons. They drove me insane in Bowser's Inside Story, and they seem even more ludicrous this time around. Looking up the prizes, they're just not worth it either. DX Beans can be gotten infinitely from Golden Beanies, and all the gear you get from it has better alternatives.
Now, my stats before the finale:
Mario - lvl 41 - Rainbow Rank
Bonuses:
- Gear Slot + 1
- Gear Slot + 1
- Casual Bros
- Jump Man
- Hammerhead
Gear:
- Star Boots
- Star Hammer
- Boost Wear
- Pow Gloves DX
- Angel Bangle
- Expert Badge
Stats (with equipment on):
- HP = 182/182
- BP = 109/109
- POW = 274 (364 for Jumps, 364 for Hammer)
- DEF = 187
- SPEED = 152
- STACHE = 45
Luigi - lvl 41 - Rainbow Rank
Bonuses:
- Gear Slot +1
- Gear Slot +1
- Big Lucky
- Quick Healer
- Iron Body
Gear:
- Star Boots
- Star Hammer
- King Wear
- Bottomless Gloves
- Duplex Crown
- Miracle Badge
Stats (with equipment on):
- HP = 269/269
- BP = 85/85
- POW = 169 (259 for Jumps, 259 for Hammer)
- DEF = 256
- SPEED = 81
- STACHE = 111
Kind of a broken set-up, but I worked hard to get to this point. It'd be a waste to not use it after all that effort. So on to the finale!
-
Unlocked the Ultimate Battler achievement in Star Ocean 4 for 100% battle trophies.
Now I need to do a run for all quests and item creation.

More Skyrim fun--
Killed Elenwen.
Not much of an accomplishment, but by the nine I wanted her dead.
On to gaining another 17 more levels to reach lvl 78. It's going to be painful, but I will decorate my hall with a Legendary Dragon's head.
-
Uh...I beat Shadow of the Colossus last night? I'm starting to work on my backlog so I can make room for more stuff when Christmas rolls around, and I'd already had 12 colossi defeated when I stopped last, so I decided to finish it up.
Out of the 4, I believe only the boar thing and the final boss actually killed me, (boar cheapshotted me to death a couple of times once it landed a single hit, never giving me enough time to get up), though there were two deaths along the way TO the final boss where I messed up the collapsing bridge segment(once by thinking I could just run across the platforms).
All in all not an especially HARD game, but it was really quite fun. I wouldn't mind playing something in a similar vein eventually if more such games exist. I'd like the story to get more focus though.
-
Went pretty crazy on Crabby Beach in Ape Escape.
After 3 hours of attempts, 19.74 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPXqo0OUyx0). This beats SSBMstuff's prior time of 23.90 by a whopping 4.16 seconds. My time before today? 32 flat. This time attack is HARD to do well.
-
I finally managed to beat Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 without using guard and with the kingdom key. God that was insane.
-
I just managed to beat Land of the Livid dead in Rayman Origins.
I had a couple of trouble spots like the part in the first room where you had to jump on the coffins or part in the third room where you have to walljump off two rising coffins while this black tentacle was chasing you.
Surprisingly, the boss was much easier then the actual level. I guess because the boss is basically memorization.
-
Did this seriously happen? I was picking up Elite Beat Agents again after remembering I had it and had yet to beat it, and the last song(Jumpin' Jack Flash) was kicking the crap out of me...then I go and full combo it. What the heck?
Sure I'm only on Cruisin, so it's not THAT impressive, but still. How does one go from failing to instantly full comboing it...?
-
I finally managed to beat Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 without using guard and with the kingdom key. God that was insane.
Train me in your ways, Sensei.
On a lighter note, I'm getting to Olmec regularly in Spelunky now (got a couple of full-except-Olmec runs under my belt now). It's only a matter of time before I can get him dead without getting dead myself.
-
Train me in your ways, Sensei.
Well, for KH 1 I just spam Strike Raid and get hit by purpose to recover some MP to spam it again. Lots and lots of luck involved too. For KH 2 I got the final mix version so I leveled up the Limit Form to use the Dodge Roll ability. Took me exactly 168 tries. :colonveeplusalpha:
I want to beat Terra in KH2 Final Mix the same way but without using guard I don't think its possible. Maybe if you pray for 3 hours and have a lot of luck. Something that I don't have.

Ok, where to begin...first, I dodged the 200 lightning bolts in FFX to power up the Onion Knight. Pretty hellish, but I got it first time I went for it so it was less bad than it could have been.
Second, I started an NSG run of FFX, and, well, won the storyline Blitzball game. Pretty amazing match, definitely the finals of the century right here (http://www.twitch.tv/ihavenonamesda/c/3136066).
Third, well, I've been working on my Ape Escape time attacks. A lot. Managed to gain 5 more WRs, though I lost Coral Cave since (5.33, got beat by a 3.52 but I can get it back, just haven't tried yet). The ones I now have are:
Dark Ruins in 2.18 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6cLQJvEbL4), did this one today, took me a few hours to not screw up anywhere in the route. It's a really hard time attack and definitely worth the watch!
Dexter's Island in 14.72 (http://www.twitch.tv/ihavenonamesda/c/3199883), as of last night I think it was. Took about 20-30 minutes, still improvable. Going to revisit it before too long I think. Notable in that it gave me 10/19 records-more than half.
Snowy Mammoth in 19.67 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VO-6SfXpR5U), also done today but earlier in the day. My time was awful, so I went and improved it. It was still bad, so I improved it more. That was WR, but still awful, so I kept going until I got this. I can get 16.xx, and will probably go for it later. Took maybe 40 minutes, tops, including messing with a slower route.
Hot Springs in 5.77 (http://www.twitch.tv/ihavenonamesda/c/3172439), down from SSBMstuff's 19.xx and my old 28.xx! Took me an hour or so, including route design. I completely threw out the old one and this one is definitely worth checking out-though 3.xx is possible, I'd settle for a low to mid 4.xx when I revisit this one.
-
Well, I beat Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 without changing Keyblades, and I beat RE: COM without taking a health upgrade. (Took I think 1 or 2 on Riku only because you'd have to get extremely lucky to unlock DP before getting to a level where the HP-up is the only option.)
Also, I just beat Agrabah on a level 1 run in KH1.5. Taking a break for a while since I had just beaten 1.5 for the first time before starting that run.
Also beat all the Doom games on Nightmare.
-
Beat the first part of Lightning's DLC in FFXIII-2 at Level zero.
I naturally got slaughtered ten seconds into the second part, but that's still an achievement regardless.
-
Also beat all the Doom games on Nightmare.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who still plays Doom. Holy hell nightmare is just... BS for me. Knee Deep in The Dead was the only episode I managed to beat on Nightmare.

So, some of you might remember me raging before on not being able to get the Speed Holic medal on Korean Elsword, and the reason for this is because, essentially, anybody who isn't korean can't realistically get it, because latency with the server makes whatever time you get in each mission be +40 seconds, which means that instead of finishing 5-2, 5-3, 5-4 and 5-5 in 3:30/3:50/4:10/4:30, respectively, you had to do it in 2:50/3:10/3:30/3:50.
Fortunately, that isn't a problem in the Brazillian Server (http://puu.sh/5iiEb.png)
Still took some good amount of min-maxing damage and a lot of really good, really well placed map cleaners, but I got it.
Now on to never use this medal as soon as Seal of Hamel is out because it's just so much better than this and infinitely easier to get.

Beat Kirby Mass Attack yesterday. Of course, I also got all the medals and played each subgame at least once. I don't have it in me to go through with completing the Checklist since I don't feel like dealing with Gold Star-ing everything and the like(4-9...*shudders*), so this will satisfy me. DeDeDe was the hardest boss for me, if only for the fact of me deciding to do the One-on-One Victor task. Having almost any mistake punished by instant death was kinda tricky to work around, but I eventually got it. Saddened by the lack of super amazing music for the final battle, but I guess it's ok. Also it was far too easy a battle, even IF I did end up getting my team crushed to death and vaporized at least once each through my own stupidity and poor stylus handling.
Was a fun little side game, but I'm definitely itching for some oldschool Kirby action. Here's hoping I get Return to Dreamland for Christmas~!

Rogue Legacy is pretty fun, I'm going through NG+ right now and, well, one of my characters just managed to full-clear 2 areas, and almost managed to full clear The Maya too. It happened in spectacular fashion, however.
Sir Hirshey V, the Barbarian King with Gigantism found and defeated Alexander and Ponce de Leon. While exploring The Maya for treasure after this, he died to a fireball...but the 1.5% chance of Death Defy kicked in. Not wanting to screw this up, I returned to Castle Hamson and encountered an OOB skeleton while refilling HP via chickens and Vampirism (7). From there, I entered the Forest, full-clearing it (including a blob room with 9 of them-loads of HP! However, I eventually died while clearing The Maya.
[attach=1]
Went pretty well, killing 2 bosses and loads of mooks. I netted 94,000 gold that run too, well worth it!

A couple of days ago, I finally completed Confessions of the Creator in Final Fantasy: Duodecium. The only hard part was both Feral Chaos fights. The first one because he had an accessory that boosts his attack and defence up by 90% and I did not have good gear going into the fight. The second one was hard because he has over 100,000 Health. But, the second one was also easy because he had Level 1 and Level 30 Equipment on so I was able to do a lot of Bravery damage.

Yeah, the 2nd fight is more of an Endurance Match of sorts, compared to the first one. The first fight is really ridiculous if you take too long and his booster accessories activate, which ends up making him pretty much overpowered attack-wise and nearly invincible to BRV damage with what equipment the player is likely to have at that point.
Good job. What characters do you play as, if I may ask?

I used Cecil, Cloud( His Level 100 Exclusive helps ;)), Onion Knight, Tidus, and Warrior of Light. All of them were at Level 100 ( Although Tidus became Level 100 during the Fight) and all of them had either Lufenian gear, level 60 gear, or their Exclusive with Lufenian Gear.

I just beat Tales of Symphonia for the first time. It wad pretty great. Hmm... I think for my next playthrough I'll choose a different main party.

Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection (specifically, this post is about FFIV, not TAY or Interlude)
Tonight I finished doing "everything" except getting Adamant Armor for everyone (or anyone at all). I got all of the optional summons, everyone is Lv99, everyone has their ultimate weapons, Bestiary is 100% completed, everyone has a Hero's Shield from Brachioraidos (the game's superboss), everyone's Lunar Trial is completed, I opened every treasure chest there is. Save file has 49:55 logged on it, not bad.
It's funny, Brachioraidos is so damn weak. The very first time I fought him, Kain wasn't with me because I was finishing everyone's trials, so there was no silly Abel's Lance kill. However, even without the Hero's Shield to absorb his massive elemental damage (it only comes from him anyways, and just one copy per fight) he was still pretty easy. Basically just meleed/flared him to death, bouncing more flares off of myself when he decides to throw up Reflect. He likes to kill people repeatedly, but that's all he's good at. He doesn't like to do "a lot of damage" he mostly kills you outright (unless you absorb it) which ironically simplifies things very very much. Revive the dead and do not bother healing or buffing, problem solved!
Every fight after the first was an absolute joke because the Abel's Lance that Kain was wielding would always activate and kill him instantly. Sometimes with that being the very first action in the fight. Some superboss, eh? ...now I suppose I need to get an Adamant Armor for everyone then I can say I really did do everything. Drop rate on Pink Tails is absolutely horrible. I expect my play time to at least triple before I get five. (edit: 50:11, just got my first one. Perhaps it won't take as long as I imagined.)
Oh yeah. My party of choice, whenever possible, is Cecil/Kain/Edward/Palom/Porom. Best party, no exceptions whatsoever.

Well, yesterday I improved my Ape Escape time attacks by upwards of 20 seconds across all of them...
First was a random play of Sushi Temple where I improved my 20.47 to 20.28. Nothing to write home about. After that I improved my Fossil Field from 11.92 to 8.47 (I think it was 8.47, it was somewhere around that). Not a record, but got it pretty close. Then I randomly in 5 minutes improved Molten Lava, taking my own 17.70 down to 10.78, which beat SSBMstuff's old record of 12.05. It was a bad run and I wasn't recording, since I definitely didn't expect to get the record!
From there, zorasknight, playing on emulator, got a 3.16 opening to City Park. I didn't believe it was possible and suspected the emulator was doing something wrong. A while later he finished a 3.20 run and I improved my 3.23 to a 3.21...but something still felt off. How was 3.16 possible? The only difference was emulator, and I'd known lag was emulated wrong in other places...maybe the game was lagging imperceptibly during the opening? I wondered how I could possibly test it, and then I remember what Surreal does in various parts of AE3. Using a claw grip to hold up on the dpad angling the camera downwards, I tried it. My first attempt was a 3.16. I kept going for another 5 minutes and ended up knocking off 0.13 from the old record, with a 3.10 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGqD295Qd7g). With this new discovery of lag reduction, I went on to Crumbling Castle, figuring it could be improved with the new technique. 5 minutes later, 1.74 had been replaced with a 1.70 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVkgOURz3y0) run. Probably still improvable, but it was an improvement. From there, I suspected that Thick Jungle was still improvable, saw and choked a 2.69, got a 2.70 (improved from 2.72), kept going for 2.69, managed an incredibly badly played 2.65 within 15 minutes. I then spent the next 2 hours trying to get a better played 2.65, culminating in a much better played run. The time of this run? 2.63 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TTlzDmBn8o). That frame of improvement was totally worth it.
From there, I knew I could improve my time on Molten Lava and began focusing on that. I managed a 9.08 before long, with a missed second. Likewise with an 8.89 and 8.75. Finally, I managed to get a run without any missed seconds...but the ending could still be improved. Regardless, I pulled off a 7.50 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPg1olddQCo) run, and Molten Lava quickly became one of my favorite time attacks to play. I wasn't done for the night. It might have been 7 in the morning and I might have been grinding these since 11 or 12 or night, but I had one level left to go. I had to improve Fossil Field. Within 10 minutes I had taken the record from SSBMstuff with a 7.84...but I had done it by a single frame, as his time was 7.85. My run was improvable, though, and 20 minutes later I had this 7.57 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qLLUnWJFu8) completed. As a result of this night my personal total dropped to 2:35.xx and the WR total dropped to 2:22.71. I think I can push it to sub 2:15, but getting past 2:20 is going to be really hard...

Warning! :wikipedia:
Last night, my club held a Super smash bros. Brawl tournament. They had it along with a Fifa 14 tournament. Me and my friend entered and we got 3rd and 2nd. The character I used was Ganondorf and my friend used Lucas.
Quick Summery of matches
Match 1- I fought against someone who played as Mr. Game and Watch. It was a standard match. There was nothing that stood out about it. My friend fought someone who used Kirby. My friend almost lost because near the end he got hit by stone twice because he tried to do an up-smash.
Match 2- I fought against the President of the club. He used Zero Suit Samus and tried to keep me away with the stun gun. The interesting moment came when he was trying to recover and Zero Suit Samus was on her last life. I jumped off and got a perfect hit with Ganondorf's Meteor Smash which ended the match. My friend fought someone who used Ness. There was nothing really exciting about that match.
Match 3- My friend gets a free pass into the finals because there was only there people in the semifinals. When he got a free pass, I was like :o. This match was 5 stock. I fight against someone who used Snake extremely well. I couldn't deal with Snakes dash attack to up smash so I lost.
Final Match- This match was 7 stock. My friend faces off against the same guy who uses Luigi instead. He tried his best, but he eventually lost to a close range Super High Jump Punch. My friend got 2nd and the guy got 1st.

So, after about this long after doing that
bla bla FFIV :wikipedia: too long, scroll up
(I started about that night, maybe one night later)
I've completed a Cecil solo file on the same game. At the end, he became Lv99 shortly before fighting the final boss. Killed all of the optional bosses available up to this point. There were a few annoyances among those...
White Dragon: Required farming a Lunar Curtain. While it isn't tough enough to normally kill me, it's counter special (casting Slow) builds up on repeated casts, and after a point I'd become too slow to heal myself after Maelstrom/Tornado (whichever one it uses) and it would punch me for ~50 damage and I'd die.
Plague Horror: Doom at the start of the fight is so fun :V This required farming another Lunar Curtain, after which he spent the entire fight unsuccessfully casting Doom on me. On a related note, I ran from every single encounter with standard Ahrimans, because they also cast Doom near the start, just with less total HP.
Dark Bahamut: Starts off with an incredibly weak version of Mega-Flare, then spends the entire fight bouncing Flares off of himself with reflect. Flare normally pierces some large amount of magic defense so this was a problem that the Blood Sword alone wouldn't deal with. I ended up actually removing my good equipment, so that I'd actually be able to be inflicted with Berserk status, then using a Berserk item. This made me take nearly 2000 damage per flare, but my Blood Sword damage jumped up from ~1450 all the way to 2200+. Afterwards, extremely long autobattle. (he heals for 6000 every few turns)
Zeromus himself was a joke, completely able to be killed with autobattle using a Blood Sword. To speed it up though, I swapped out for the Ragnarok I got earlier whenever I was about full on HP again. I guess it's time to tackle the Lunar Ruins and see how the fight with Brachioraidos goes.
Well, with all that done, I'd say it was a very fun and enjoyable challenge. I'd probably recommend it to anyone who has the game, if they're looking for something to do after completing the main game.

It's probably the easiest song set to do it with, but seriously, fuck yeah.

Does being able to put up and do well with most virtual buttons control on iOS devices' games that most people loathe and revile... counts as a gaming achievement? @v@
-
So I just bought this guy in KR Elsword. (http://puu.sh/625cd)
And by sheer luck I also got this guy in the Fossil Burner. (http://puu.sh/62fxM)
Mounts in this game are crazy good, so this is a massive achievement :V
Getting the first mount has also completely changed my playstyle, I dumped Luna Blade, Stoic and Kick and used those points in Flame Geyser, Triple Geyser, 4 extra points in Counter Chance and the rest in the magic attack increasing passives, I got an extra 260 magic attack from that and added two new nukes to my repertoire, 3, if you count the mount.
-
Pump It Up Fiesta 2: No barring a D16 with an A. Right knee is still heavy on me though. :/
Final Fantasy 14: My Lalafellian Summoner now has no gear under item level 70. Was doing the same dungeon over and over, endlessly, until the last update. haha

19/19 Ape Escape time attack WRs. 1 is a tie, but WR ties are still WRs.
Untied the tie with a potentially frame perfect run (first time seeing that frame ever...), then cut off another 5.5 seconds to bring the total time to 1:59.62.

Finished Metal Max 2: Reloaded after a year of language barrier related difficulties and boss fights I thought I'd never win. This was a while ago but, the shit I went through to complete it was agonizing, at best.
-
My recent video game accomplishments are going to be a lot because I have not posted on this thread in a while.Warning: :wikipedia:
- Getting to Gill twice in Street Fighter 3 3rd strike. The first time as Ken and the second time as Hugo.(I couldn't kill him though. His cheapness was stronger then my
luck skill. - Beating score attack mode 3 times in BB:CSEX. Unfortunately, I can only beat it as Iron Tager. All I have to do now in BB is Unlimited Mars and level 999 Abyss :colonveeplusalpha:.
- Completing Rayman Legends including getting everything in Living Dead Party. It was tough for a while because the final bomb of Gloo Gloo shoots a fireball up that used to always kill me.
- Beating Battle Fantasia arcade mode as Marco in his Dynakid costume. It was tough because I had to learn how to fight End of Deathbringer as him which resulted in me losing about 12 times before I beat him.
-
(http://i40.tinypic.com/oszswg.png)
W00t! Just beat Hyper Hexagonest in Super Hexagon. I started playing this game again a few days ago after a several month long break from it.
-
Just beat Kingdom Hearts 1.5 at level 1.
But Unknown and Sephiroth are just too much for me at this level. Can get to the second phase on Unknown and only sometimes get to the second phase on Sephiroth, but I just can't figure out the patterns. It especially sucks giving up on Unknown because there's a loop, but I can't even pull that off.
-
Rayman Legends- I have collected all 700 teensies and I have unlocked all charecters but two. All I have to do is get a million lums and I will be completed with the game.
Sonic Heroes- I have collected all Chaos Emeralds and I have completed the Last story.
Super Monkey Ball Deluxe- I have made it to Expert Level 27 (Swing Bar Long) before losing all of my lives to it. :V
-
I cleared New Super Mario Bros. U 100% on my first playthrough! :toot:
-
Oh right, I got the Platinum trophy for Project Diva F sometime last week, making it my first!
Still tons to do in it, but it'll be getting shelved for a while so I can play other stuff.
-
Uh...I beat Shadow of the Colossus last night?
How about Ico? ^^
-
How about Ico? ^^
I've heard good things about it, so down the line I might look at it, though my backlog needs to get thinned out and then I've still got a list of stuff to get after that...
-
I beat Unknown on KH 1.5 Proud level 1 a while back, not sure how many tries. But I just got the level 1 Sephiroth win just now, and I'm not sure how many hundreds of tries that took. I never want to fight Sephiroth in KH 1.5 at level 1 ever again. But most of the other stuff in the level 1 run was fun due to the Experience 0 balances, just glad I could actually finish off all the bosses.
Now I should probably finish Re;CoM cause I've never actually beaten that and then wait for 2.5. I'm looking forward to trying KH2FM Critical and Critical level 1, should be a lot funner than KH 1.5's level 1 because you actually get a lot of abilities without levels, while in 1.5 it's just stuff from story bosses, optional bosses, and some Colosseum cups..
-
Got Stormbringer on Metal Gear Rising.
That's about as much of an achievement as it gets.
...Not counting the VR missions. But those are a whole new level of crazy.
-
- Battle Fantasia- Beat Time Attack twice as Coyori. The first time was just to see what it was and I ended with a time of about 34 minutes because I had to spend 20 Minutes on End of Deathbringer :colonveeplusalpha: The second time went better as I ended up with a time of about 16 minutes and I only had to spend 5 minutes on End of Deathbringer.
- Neo-Geo Battle Colosieum- I have beatten Mizuchi, Neo-deo, and King Lion in Arcade mode. The only person I have to beat is Goodman who I have no idea how low my time has to be to get to him.
- Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z- I have unlocked all of the charecters and completed all of the missions with an A rank or higher. There were 4 missions that were unfair and hard to get an A/s rank on. The mission where you have to fight Gotenks in all 3 of his ss.j levels, the mission where you fight Ultimate Gohan and his team, the mission where you fight ss.j3 Goku, Majin Buu, and ss.j2 Vegita, and the mission where you fight all of Gokus family which ended with being destroyed by Ultimate Gohan, ss.j3 Goku, and Super Sayan Bardock at the same time.
- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkiachi 3- Have completed 50 ultimate battle missions.
- Skullgirls- I have made it to Marie on Nightmare difficulty in Arcade mode.
-
Bend over, Twisted Savior. For I have beaten the last postgame boss of EO4.

Oh right, I forgot I beat Touhou-A-Live a few days ago. In doing so, I've also beaten a good portion of the extra bosses in the Final Chapter. Still not sure what the gimmick's supposed to be for fighting two of them though...
If anyone here's beaten Omega
or Elder Wizard
, can you PM me some hints as to what to try? I don't wanna know flat out what to do if possible, but I've yet to figure out just how to go about not dying to those two so a slight nudge in the right direction could help.

In Senran Kagura, I beat
Daidouji. My arms are still stiff for it. The best strategy with her I found was taking her off screen, returning on screen, put her in combo and Aerial Rave, rinse and repeat.

Got a couple more CC related accomplishments.
First, I designed a seemingly complex level that is easily solved by holding right (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NHe5EYe0zQ). Map (http://imgur.com/ALrJQcK)
Second, CCLP1 Level 24 bold (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjgHJuI1nC0). 7 seconds long. 2 hours to pull off flawlessly. That's how intense this sort of thing can get, all those 10 m/s moves with no breaks and no room for error...though I didn't come up with the route myself, I did find a 342 route that was very close to this one. (Thanks Hornlitz for the route :V)

Well, if the thread is bumped...
Ape Escape beaten in 48:13 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvyDX4v3xBI)! This took me forver to get a time I was actually satisfied with, but it's nice to finally be there. This run is actually really scary, since it has all of 2 weak sections with regards to play, and none when it comes to luck. I could technically save nearly a minute in the last quarter of the run by getting perfect luck and not making execution errors in the final level, but I have no interest in banking on that since it means having to match New Freezeland (2 seconds potential timesave total, 5 minute stretch) and City Park/Specter's Factory (about 5 seconds assuming perfect luck, but vs. the best I've achieved a mere 4 tenths).
I also managed to get a new record on CCLP1 level 54, Mini Pyramid in Lynx. I had 229 (short by 1 second), then found a bunch of small tricks that improved my time from 229.1ish to 229.9ish. Still a 229, and 230 was reported. I changed up my strategy for the beginning to try something new, and an unoptimized run scored 230. I started working out how to implement the tricks I discovered, and eventually hit upon a route that minimized wasted time and utilized every trick-including pushing a block off a chip onto a single ice tile, having it bounce back and kill Chip in MS, but in Lynx the chip blocks it and Chip can step off without being flattened! That trick was required for 231, and I'm quite happy with having discovered that.
I also finished Dust: An Elysian Tail 117%. 1,000 combo required for an achievement and a quest? brb getting a 7,000 hit combo.

I beat End of Deathbringer with Donvalve yesterday in Battle Fantasia.
The best strategy isn't to use the heat up mode only move and it is not to use his supers while in Heat Up mode.
The best strategy is to Heat Up then Do Jumping C Land and then do Crouching A 3 or 4 times and repeat until EoD is dead.
Once I found out this strategy, I beat him in 5 Minutes.

I just finished Dark Souls for the first time. What an amazing game! I started my second playthrough right after the end credits. This time I chose the sorcerer class and I'm liking it so far. Maybe I'll do a new game+ playthrough with my cleric sometime in the future.
-
I've done some Pokemon speedruns (Gen 1, Gen 2, the remakes) and got pretty good times on them (well, not like compared to legit speedruns, I think I was like 15-30 minutes off of those). Oh, and a Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones speedrun, although that was the most half assed thing ever but somehow I still finished it in a couple of hours. Go Seth.

So in my RKS challenge run frenzy over the last week or so, I've managed the following:
>Running the entire first game Seelegewehr only sans the Iris Machine's second half (which I managed to beat Seelegewehr-only in a separate run)
>Running the entire first game Cross Tankless
>1ccing the first game with three deaths (deathless is possible, deathless no Cross Tank is simply asking for death)
>Beating the final boss of both games default weapon only Cross Tankless
So next... Cross Tankless in Freudenstachel once I get better at certain bosses? *looks at Schirach*
-
Finally cleaning up my stuff in Dream Team, beat all the Giant X bosses. Just Antasma X now! I don't care to do the Battle Medleys, so he's my last thing there.
-
Yesterday I beat Mega Man II in normal mode without using any continues. I'm going to try and do the same for Mega Man I next. :D
-
I managed to beat The Binding of Isaac on my very first try. I got really lucky with the items. Almost all of them were stat boosts, but I got some other good items too, like Forever Alone, the Treasure Map, and the useful X-Ray Vision. One moment I'm really surprised to had happen is when I accidentally used my pill. The good part? It was a telepill. The room I teleported to? The I Am Error room. The best part? The floor I was on was The Depths II, meaning I actually skipped Mom! While The Womb gave me a tough time, I managed to get to and defeat Mom's Heart. Speaking of Mom's Heart, she felt like an anticlimax compared to the rest of the game, as pretty much all she does is spawn mooks and then hide until I kill them. In addition, I managed to unlock Cain in addition to Judas because I got a massive amount of money (I'm pretty sure I managed to get more than 100? throughout the entire run)!
Sometimes, I even amaze myself.

I beat the main storyline in Final Fantasy XIV. That was a fun last couple of dungeons.
I especially liked the part where the eight of us jumped in Magiteck Armor and wrecked the joint.

Just Yesterday I beat challenge 30 in the KoF 2002 UM The mission was to beat Igniz and Omega Rugal with infinite power bars with one character. My character of choice was Ralf.
Vs. Igniz- The best thing to do is move back, go RRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAHHHH , and punch him in his face repeatedly until he is dead. However sometimes I messed up and took some damage which sucks because they don't replenish your health between battles. Even worse is when I died to him because it was from a combo to Brutal God Project which does Major damage.
Vs. Omega Rugal- This guy has too much attack and defense. The best strategy is to go RRRRRRRAHHHHH and tackle him until he is dead. Also, you have to use supers against this guy, just don't mistime them otherwise you will eat a Gigantic pressure or a Genocide Cutter. If you have one bar, you can do 2141236+P to air 236+P for some good damage. If you have 2 bars go for 2363214+PP as it does great damage if you hit him. I barely beat him as one hit would have killed me and one tackle would have killed him. I go for the tackle , he tries to Repuken me but I go straight through it and hit him to win the match.
Mario Kart 8- I have all parts except for the Golden Glider. The Golden Glider requires 10000 coins to get :colonveeplusalpha:. You think that's enough Nintendo?
Zen Pinball 2- I have broken 100 million on Fear Itself. This is the 2nd table I broke 100 million on, the first one being paranormal. I will put my highscore here for all of the tables I own.
Avengers- 39,726,129
World War Hulk-27,937,000
Fear Itself-121M
The Infinity Gauntlet-29,674,653
The Amazing Spiderman-29,647,848
Wolverine-13,103,700
IronMan-10,886,000
Blade-28,991,000
Epic Quest-47,139,601
Plants vs. Zombies-33,694,139
Paranormal-129M
Street Fighter 2-46,828,878
As you see I did good on some of them. Others... not so much.
-
OH MY GOD! I just beat Yggdrasil Core/Primevil in Etrian Odyssey Untold. I was playing classic mode on expert difficulty. It took me many, many, many tries, but finally I was able to pull it off. My strategy was to slowly wear it down so it wouldn't go the the last phase and start using random attacks. Then I hit it with everything I got and thankfully it was enough... Damn my hands are still shanking xD

Remember when I talked about Super Contra? I gave up eventually. Today, after a long pause, I remembered I tried to do it and decided to do a casual run.
3 starting lives, no continues, one dead alien invader! 8)
Did really good overall as well - no deaths till stage 5 (got pinned down by a wall cannon opened too early), 6 lives at the end, almost finished 2nd loop as well (game over on final stage, lowering ceiling part, died just because ceiling decided to start second lowering cycle while I was above the big pit, could've reached the end no problem otherwise).

Max Payne, Dead on Arrival mode cleared!
Not all that bad once you know what you're doing. Unless there's a guy with a shotgun having a clear shot at you, in which case it's either sidestep IMMEDIATELY or die even when at full health. Even if the guy's across the room. Such spots were usually a mandatory save. Still, only a few chapters were hard enough that I'd need to use all 7 saves. The worst offender, unlike what I expected, wasn't the first Aesir Corporation level ("Nothing to Lose"), which is complicated but very structured (plus no need to hold anything back meant liberal usage of Jackhammer and grenade launcher), but the car park one ("Backstabbing Bastard"), which clearly has way too high people-per-square-mile ratio.

Skyrim
Reached Level 78 (By grinding Alteration... a lot. Seriously, it's been legendaried three times.)
Went to the dragon roost south of Riften.
Immediately greeted by a Legendary Dragon.
Obliterated it in less than 60 seconds.
"Legend" Get! 100% Achievement Get!

If you're transmuting iron ore to make gold so you can get gold rings to sell, yeah, your Alteration's going to go up a lot. I don't plan to reset any of my skills besides melee weapons/armor. Everything else is too much work. You can always find something to hit until it dies. Archery uses ammo, but at least arrows are weightless and you can carry as many of every kind as you need.
I haven't accomplished anything lately. Nothing beaten or anything like that. You know, I wish Gensou Shoujo Taisen would recognize the f'ing L2 and R2 buttons on my PC controller. It doesn't. The order in which it labels the buttons prioritizes the "push the analog stick" buttons over the second pair of shoulder buttons. What the hell? I can map L2 and R2 on emulators, but not a PC game. At least it'll read the D-Pad. It won't when I'm using my PS3 controller.
-
Got the "Girl Who Slays 10,000" trophy and with it the Platinum. My second Platinum! That's a fun game and there's still a lot to do in it. Funny thing, I was doing Hanzo 4-2, since that's the only place I know of with limitless enemies, and was waiting and waiting for the trophy to pop. I looked before I went in and saw that I was at like 9920ish and only had to kill 80 more. The trophy doesn't show up until the score screen and I ended up killing over 500 guys. Whoops.

Here's how to grind Alteration like crazy. (You can reach 100 from 15 in less than an hour)
Detect Life in a market (Riften is a good one) or someplace where there's a lot of people. That's all.

I've been playing Kingdom Hearts 1.5 again recently because 2.5 is coming out soon.
After a lot of resetting and reloading saves, got this on my current run of Kingdom Hearts 1.5. Sadly flash caused the number of heartless to be partly obscured, but everything else shown in the battle report was fine. Would not have been able to do this without spamming lots of magic and summons during the playthrough.

A few weeks back , I was playing this moba called Smite, and I got my first quadra kill. :)

Quite a while back, I thought I'd challenge myself by speeding up a video game. I decided on Battletoads, to speed up by 1.5x speed (starting from Turbo Tunnel, as the first two levels are a little trivial). I managed to do better than I thought, making it all the way to Terra Tubes. Maybe I'll revive this idea some other time down the road, who knows. Luckily, I also decided to record it.

Nice job. Intruder Excluder was an amusing watch, especially the first Robo-Manus attempt. It probably was just as amusing to play.
-
Amusing to play, but also infuriating. I just wanted to get onto Terra Tubes, but kept getting knocked down! I'll probably end up trying this again, maybe on a stream. Thanks for the praise.
-
No problem. I know the joys of an old-school challenge. I myself am trying to complete Super Contra using only the default gun, and I usually run out of continues by the last stage (not using the lives code, though). Really fun, if frustrating at times. Not that it stops me, even if I'm not sure I can ever do this.
-
Detect Life in a market (Riften is a good one) or someplace where there's a lot of people. That's all.
You have to be level 23 before it'll start spawning as random loot, and level 40 before you can buy it, unless you do the quest "Infiltration", which is kind of out of the way (as in, it's not found in any main holds or towns). Transmute can be acquired a hell of a lot earlier in a mine full of bandits. And it helps you level Smithing, because Gold is far-enough up on the material tier list that you don't need to make 50 items to level up once. Later on, yeah, Detect Life is better. But Transmute is good for the early game because you're multitasking skills and making some start-up capital.
-
Well, after one too many failures, I gave up on that "default gun only" Super Contra challenge. To play for fun, I decided to go "default and machine gun only" instead. The result is...
FOUR LOOPS! :dragonforce:
Man, I so regret I can't record my playing for now. I guess I'll see what I can do by the next time. I don't know any superplayers for this game or what tricks they use, but I came up with some impressive stuff myself (in many cases thanks to my bullet hell experience), so I'd love to show off someday.
It's come to that my main enemy in the game are pretty arbitrary bullet count limits. Even with machinegun I get gaps in my bullet stream in some conditions and it can matter quite a lot. But even knowing the game as good as I do, there are a few places where I can die just by sheer bad luck (like when an enemy jumps out of the edge of the screen when I need to be at that spot). A few places in stage 7 are pretty bad as well, where dying once means you'll die at least once more before you can move on, and that's when you know what to do in that situation, otherwise it's pretty much a game over. On the upside, this game is very generous with score-based 1-ups - you get 1-2 lives per stage on average. I guess it wouldn't look like much with two players around, but additional firepower helps in that case. Oh well, I'm fine with the game as it is.
-
Arbitrary bullet count is you maxing the sprite limit the game can handle on screen at any time. Of course, this means you can despawn enemies if you cap out sprites at the time an enemy should spawn
-

That's just the thing, it's NOT because of a sprite limit in this case. With spread gun you can have 10 of your bullets on the screen at all times, with machine gun it's 6, and with the default gun it's 4 (and it's VERY noticeable with turbo buttons, which I'm so used to I can't even think about playing NES without them). Besides, there's no hard sprite limit on NES, the games either slow down or have flickering when there's too many of them. Contra and Super C, for example, slow down, which becomes very noticeable in additional loops.
...Oh, in case anyone cares, I can't make any videos after all, my PC is just that weak. But at least I'm using an emulator that can save replays, so I might consider recording them starting with next time I play.
-
I hit Ninja Level 15 in Bon Appetit. And got so excited I missed the next few notes and came close to losing the round, but I didn't care. I got the hard trophy out of the way. Now all that's left are the time consuming trophies: play 200 songs, hit 50k notes, get 10m score, collect 49 panties. I think I'll wait for Gessen x Hebijo to come out before doing those.
-
I got all the achievement from The Binding of Isaac. I took hours of searching and reseting to find the last item (pyro) but I'm so glad I finally found it.
-
My rarest trophies on PSN was mostly from KickBeat, some rhythm game for the PS Vita.
It's some mediocre western rhythm game, not much has played it and not much has cared, and pretty much why the percentage is so low.

Guess I can post this:

I've 100%'d Super Mario Bros. 3mix (though it was kind of easy). I didn't use any savestates. Really nice hack, I have to say (though it has its share of glitches). I may do a full playthrough of it.

In Gunvolt...
Next on the agenda is to finish up the challenges (not many left) and then probably pushing as many stages as possible into the 2mil+ ranges.
EDIT: And all challenges done now. :V

I got this achievement in Shovel Knight. Tower of Fate: Ascent was definitely the scariest stage to play because of all those bottomless pits and instant-kill spikes.
EDIT: Just beat the game in 1:23:49 and got the HurryUp! achievement. Shovel Knight is now 100% complete!

I caught them all! My Pok?dex is at 719/719. Now I just have to wait for Hooplah and Volcanonion and I'll be set forever.
Or about two years.
-
I've 100% cleared Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker! I finished the very last mission/challenge tonight! :toot:
-
A few years ago, I beat Zone Of The Enders: The Second Runner on Extreme Difficulty. The Penultimate battle against Anubis was such a pain, but the final battle was disappointingly easy, even with his health regeneration technique.
More recently, I beat Persona 2: Eternal Punishment whilst playing through most of the game with a low leveled party (By the end, I think my main character wasn't much higher than level 60). This made the final boss almost overwhelmingly difficult since I spent most of the battle on the defense because most of his attacks ripped through at least 65% of each characters health bar (he also loves to spam a very deadly physical attack which more often than not KO'd the main character since she was weak to physical attacks), not to mention that most of my attacks did a pathetic amount of damage. Still, I can't deny that it was a very satisfying victory and a hell of a way to end the old school Persona games. And I finished the final battle on my first try.

Figured I'd have an easy win with Saitama as captain! This feels like an accomplishment since I went into the game blind after reading some good reviews, and this play through only took about 8 hours.

That physical attack is a Throw type attack IIRC. Good luck having a persona that kind nullify it without having bad weaknesses. X D
Also, Hielos Glupaine is what you need in thta kind of situation when you don't have any firepower. ^^
Still, congratulation. ^^
*******************************SUPER MEGA UPDATE!!!!*******************************
I have finally unlocked the Soul in the Binding of Isaac Rebirth thanks to a Ludicovo Parasite Mutant Spider Lump of Coal Guppy run backed by a Battery charged Shear.
On top of that, the game felt nice enough to give me both Nine Live and Holy Mantle somewhere midway through.
OP doesn't even begins to describe how that run ended up! XD
I celebrated by beating Mega Satan on my first try!
:D
If you want to try, seed is G9HP A3YF
-
Unlocked Arma in Recettear I guess. Took forever but totally worth it.
-
Just got world record in speedrunning Valkyria Chronicles. This has been a few months of grinding but I finally got it
http://www.twitch.tv/pxtfd/c/6275715
-
It took a while but I finally unlocked the D100.
I had to try many time and had some pretty good runs that I messed up including a run where my brain farted and I hit myself with Epic Fetus toward the end of Boss Rush. XD
That being said, the game got eventually nice enough for me to give me Holy Mantle as a starting item.
(I wasn't using the popular "Press R to retry a new run" just for the record.)
I had to fight the Haunt on the first floor and thankfully only got hit once by the Haunt himself and used a bomb to speed up the fight.
I somehow cheesed the little Haunt duo partly by walking toward them? My memory is a bit fuzzy here. XD
I got sowewhere early Libra and the Stopwatch which helped a lot.
For stat ups I got Magic Mushroom, the Belt, Growth Hormones, Toothpicks, Magic Eight Ball and Latch Key,
those being changed by Libra in all stat up I believe.
The result was that I was strong but not OP.
I had a familiar (sister Maggy?) too.
I had Blue Map and Black Candle as support, Spirit of the Night allowed me to fight from safety (tears goes through rocks and obtacles).
I used the Bible to fight Mom, then gets Krampus in the Devil Room and gets Krampus Head.
In the Boss Rush, I choose Mulligan over 20/2 (the one that give you double shot).
Gets the champion version of the boss rush. I abuse rock covers with Spirit of the Night whenever I can.
Monstro II is not hard but takes longer to die than I would like to. XD
Because I forget about the Lazers, the Bloat gets a hit. Realizes that Mask of Infamy can't be slowed until I destroy her Heart.
Uses Krampus Head to finish the Fallen when he split, finish the Headless Horseman with more close calls than I would have liked.
Anyway, I am happy it's done. ^^
Now, I must clear the game on hard mode several times to get those last few items. XD
Ah, yes, if you want to try the same run the seed is YJ7P SJR3

I finally got it... I lost a few good runs to some ridiculous rooms in the chest (double cage, double adversary). I swear I'll never play as the Lost again...
-
Just got Rogue Legacy's Thanatophobia trophy to finish the platinum on it. Did it without backing up saves or or reloading to farm special rooms.
13 deaths out of the 15 that are allowed, 4 hours 2 minutes of playtime for that run between all characters. I thought I was probably going to be screwed on this try as I was sucking at Herodotus any time I got to it, but got a Barbarian Queen for it and was able to tank through quite a bit of it then farmed up to full health in the rest of the castle and beat the final boss with the same character.
I used the strategy of going straight for Shinobi unlock then pumping Strength and Health, some equip up if I got good blueprints and a few decent runes. Had 4 vampirism, which also helped a lot. I did consider a strategy of rushing for Dragon unlock and pumping Health and Magic as flight would really have solved some of the BS platforming at times plus you'd have access to Spellsword, but it's kind of tough to get enough gold for the actual unlock, though I think that could have worked as well.
I now need to finish my NG++ file since that's as far as the enemy patterns changing goes though it does scale beyond that. I think I went into NG++ quite unprepared though, so it'll take quite a lot of deaths before I finish that.
-
Kirby Superstar Ultra - 100% completion achieved. All I had to do was get a few treasures in the Great Cave Offensive.
Mario and Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story - I beat Bowser X and I was finally able to clear class 7 in the gauntlet.
BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma - I managed to get all the way to the last opponent in Unlimited Mars Route C as Tager. I got destroyed by the last person but I managed to get there which took a stupid amount of luck especially on Hazama.
I also beat all 4 score attack routes and each one as a different character.
Also, I 100% completed Terumis challenges.
-
I caught them all! My Pok?dex is at 719/719. Now I just have to wait for Hooplah and Volcanonion and I'll be set forever. Or about two years.

I've been transferring all my stuff since HeartGold and getting them from events.

My achievement was actually pretty exciting.
I was playing online in Street Fighter IV on my 3DS. I picked Fei Long, to change characters a bit, and got paired with a Sakura player. So, the fight started, and I won the first round.
My opponent won the second. The final round began, and I was getting my ass kicked. I barely managed to land a few hits, and my healthbar was literally non-existent (even if I blocked the weakest attack ever, I would steel die).
My rival decided to finish me off with a kick, but I, reluctant to lose, used the ultra combo of 1 inch punch, which is a counter. I succesfully hit my opponent, but the duel was not over yet. I used a few chicken wings to go over Sakura's hadoukens, some kicks here and there and the rest is history!
I epically won, and with a Bruce Lee character to add to the awesomeness factor. Reminded me of that ocasion in which Daigo Umehara parried the super combo of Gary Wong in that tournament and won.
That is, up to this point, the most badass thing I've done in any game ever.
-
Just going to drop this here...
I finally beat Sonic Spinball for the first time!!! :]
