Germany has to slaughter Porto because Ronaldo has to cry :VOh Ronaldo...
Wait, hold up.Great pool aint it :V?
Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark?
What the balls.
Germany wonBut the orange were disappointing. :<
All was well
I have no idea what is going on, but I'll cheer for France because of socialism. They yet have to play,
France already lost, didn't they?
Maybe it's just my American sports mindset, but watching these games end in ties is so unfulfillingYes and no somehow. Ties may be frikken boring but can really mess up the ranking in each group. Then you got those "If A wins from B then A + C advance" scenarios. I prefer to see also countries rampaging through and coming out of the groups as true winners and not due to luck/point management.
Yes and no somehow. Ties may be frikken boring but can really mess up the ranking in each group. There's also how a game that ended 0-0 can be a lot more interesting than another that ended 3-0. Score really doesn't mean a lot about the game in football compared to other sports.
I can see the potential tabloid headlines already: "Germany force Greece exit from Euro.":V
Here's a nice little virtual replay compendium (http://www.lequipe.fr/edito/football/euro2012/tous-les-buts-en-3d.html) of all the scored goals in the tournament so far.Tres int?ressant... (Very interesting...)
Pirlo's penalty was simply brilliant.Pretty sweet shot~

Even outside of better mentality, England played like shit. Good thing for JUSTICE, though.England you embarrassed the country. I am disappoint.
Pirlo's penalty was simply brilliant. This shot is very popular in South America, I've seen Messi do it a few times himself.

Something seems off about this picture.
Aha, I see. Well, don't worry - after actually watching 90 minutes of a combination of refball, dives that would win gold at the Summer Games, and the most God-awfully boring footy anyone has ever seen, you'll drop Spain like a hot potato and be one step closer to footy enlightenment.
Which will probably entail rooting for the Germans, since they're the only team left that isn't a giant bag of dildos.
In fairness, I only dislike him because of his face. He looks like a tan Matt LeBlanc.Ronaldinho used to get a lot of flak for that as well. Personally, I think the hate they get is somewhat out of proportion in both cases.
Ronaldinho used to get a lot of flak for that as well. Personally, I think the hate they get is somewhat out of proportion in both cases.Honestly, thing is Ronaldinho STARTED well, but dropped dramatically as he let the fame and partying get to his head. That's what killed him
Though, the last half hour when they had to play with 10 players was just straight-out humiliation. Almost hurt to watch.Found this a bit lame as well. You're leading with 2 to 0 and Italy is suffering from bad luck (2 injured players). While it is football and finals and bla bla bla, still there is something called being good sport. Italy already gave up when they were left with 10.
I don't think Italy were necessarily unfit. I mean, try stopping Spain from holding onto the ball with 10 players. That's just about twice as hard as stopping them with 11 players. It's still hard to chase after a ball that's always moving and never staying with one player all the time. Going down to 10 men is also part of the reason though.
By the way, you sure you watched the game? Puyol wasn't anywhere near playing. :VI know, but the defense is still strong, but if Puyol was in it good luck.
Spain's play style turns every player into a potential scorer.Spain as the new standard bearers of Total Football then? :V
Spain as the new standard bearers of Total Football then? :VNot really. It is just a style like Barca's. Pass around, make enemy run around endlessly then matter of timing for the attack. Euro cup this year was quite disappointing. Mainly because no team really prevailed or shined by demolishing the other team. It was all "Do your thing".
