This movie was great. It really was.
It kinda does feel like a video game version of Toy Story, but with 200% more cameos of everything that is not limited to video games OOO-REEEE-OOOO
. It makes a lot of really clever jokes that my group and I really enjoyed. And the moral behind it is really nice too, can easily get real emotional.
All the DDR X2 and Street Fighter II references though. But I understand why Zangief is considered a "bad guy" in this movie. This was because there was only a SFII game in the arcade, and in that Zangief was considered a bad guy (because lolrussia cold war). Also, the plot twist with Turbo being the King I somehow didn't expect at all.
The one thing that I was really honestly worried was Vanellope being a really annoying brat, but that quickly changed so quickly and I fell in love with her character. Actually, I loved EVERY character in the movie. Every one was likeable in some way or another. But honestly, I can't imagine how much money they had to spend to get all the cameos, but then again it's Disney, they have all the money in the world :V
Oh, and Skrillex being in the party was just a huge surprise to everyone I mean wow, really?
But yeah, I REALLY recommend watching this movie, even if you aren't a 80's/90's kid. The whole thing is really great, 3D not needed.
S, U, G-A-R, jump into your racing car, it's Sugar Rush~
:3
The research put into this movie was just so splendid, I almost regret the fact that they didn't go even deeper.
King Candy's palace guards were Oreos and they chanted that.
What's this from?
They referenced the Wizard of Oz, where the Wicked Witch had guards chanting in an identical rhythm
