I'm making the long trip from Arkansas up to Baltimore by myself. Never been to a con so I hope I'm very overwhelmed, sore, and broke by the end of the weekend, that how I'll know it was a good one. Hopefully I'll run into some of you there. Pretty sure I don't have time for a costume, I didn't know I could go until about 2 weeks ago and have been swamped with class.
Any good advice? I do the music festival thing a lot so I'm not bad at navigating and planning for large events like this but I've never gone to something like that by myself, should make it that much more interesting. I've always subscribed to the idea that the best way to get the whole experience of events like this is to go either alone or with a smaller group so you can do what you want and aren't just hanging out within your little group.

Do you have a smartphone (android/ios)? There will be a Guidebook app available that will make planning your convention stops infinitely easier.

Also the easiest ran to run into any of us is to swing by the Touhou cosplay photoshoots and the panel run by some people in this very thread! It was my first Touhou cosplay (I was the incredibly shy Youmu staying at the Holiday Inn) so I didn't know anyone prior to the panel/shoots. Despite that, dinner on Saturday was really fun. It was my first Touhou cosplay (I was the incredibly shy Youmu staying at the Holiday Inn) so I didn't know anyone prior to the panel/shoots. Despite that, dinner on Saturday was really fun. Sorry for being so quiet though! I hope I didn't come off as too weird or anything.

Heyo, so there's gonna be a sliiiiiiight wrinkle in getting the video up this time around, as I need to pick through and make sure I don't accidently upload me being a dumbass and recording the Orioles game briefly watched so that MLB doesn't try to remove two hundred fifty thousand big ones through my nose. Once I figure out how to trim things though, I should be good; stay tuned!If it's just removing pieces of a video, plop it into Windows movie Maker or similar and you can trim it that way.
