Anyways, Vocaloid, I guess I don't really need to explain it but I will anyway - it's a series of voice synth programs that are super popular in Japan, in a nutshell. I'm a big fan, and I try to keep really up to date with the music.

6th highest overall in terms of points on NicoNico on their Vocaloid Rankings. I don't know how exactly that translates to views, but it's quite a number. Surpassed Ievan Polka not too long ago, but it still has to beat Double Lariat, Meltdown, and Martyoshka. Pretty amazing for a song that was only made last October

EDIT: It has 3.2 mill views as of this post, to clarify. To put in perspective, Ievan Polka has 3.4, Black Rock Shooter has 4.7, Disappearance has 5.0, and Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru has 9.5 million.

It... was okay. I won't say mediocre, because they tried and the company (it wasn't Sega, it was some indie company, mikubook.com) apparently got rejected by Fanime at the last minute, so they had to rent out the local theatre. The live human dancers were... well, they were half-assed as if they were embarrassed or tired, no live instruments (understandable, given the size of the theatre), the screen was kind of wacked and blurred in the middle (again, size of theatre), the song selection was small, the MMD modelling wasn't as great as Sega (yes, beggars can't be choosers), and given that they sort of had to do this at the last moment, it's understandable.

Still can't help but feel disappointed.

I don't really like IA though, so whatever. Half those songs I could swear are being sung by Miku, on certain octaves they sound very alike. But aside from that, all those IA songs lack the hard beats that tend to draw my attention, and general catchiness.

That reminds me, it's been awhile since a song has really stood out to me. The last thing that I really enjoyed was.... the No Thank You remix, I think? I might be getting a bit oversaturated on Vocaloid music.

Miku does sing a few of the songs, Like Artificial Enemy and Blindfold Code... but there's one song in the video that plays the first time it's no Ene, not the Headphone Actor one but it plays a song JUST before Artificia;l Enemy that I want to know the name of ><

Plug8 and 8Prince just released a whole album of it remixed by all the familiar names and some industry heavies. it is wonderful.
エレクトリック・ラブ(CBKN House Remix) -Extended edit- I think this was the best one from it. so beautiful.

Senbonzakura has the best run so far, though not as long as Strobe Nights.
also, most cosplayed Miku Hatsune version in the short run ever. I saw at least 20 different Senbonzakura cosplays already and at least 2 locally,

I'd seriously love to know how all of kemu's songs (the ones with PVs) connect with each other. Looking at the lyrics, I can see references to his other songs and noticed that Ikasama Life Game's girl was used as the girl this time.

I know about all the other vocaloid songs, but I'm more excited about these two because Meltdown is one of the most popular vocaloid songs out there, and Overnight Story because Kemu <3

I know right, the Miku Generations video literally brought me to tears because of it. It is not even that long ago, but it just makes it all wonderful because over the years from the first concept to what it has become now... wow!

As for Tell Your World, I actually dunno which one I like best, Google's edition or the MMD video of it, both are just as nice. I guess when you mix the real people images in, it just makes her that much in contact with you, spiritually and through the sound of her voice.

Recently however, I re-discovered an artist called 96Neko, needless to say I been listening to all the songs she resang from vocaloid songs. She has a great voice! Gotta admit she does a better Senbonzakura than anyone else, and certainly any vocaloid... it is the only one that isn't squeaky pitched. (mind you I like Miku's voice but this song seems pitchy for such an awesome track.)

96Neko has been singing songs for quite a while, and everyone following the singer department of Nico would probably know her. I love her cover of Matryoshka who she does with vip tenchou.
