...It was either that or "The Call of Casterthulu", and I wasn't sure if that was snappy enough. >.>
So! Back to the Grail War, then! Anyone else looking forward to the concluding half of this?

[purvis]Let's make this a better OP.[/purvis]
The episodes are made publicly available here. (http://ch.nicovideo.jp/channel/fate-zero)
Also, remember that if you're going to mention anything that hasn't happened yet but is in the graphic novel, put it in spoiler tags and specifically mark it as novel spoilers. Not all of us can read it, and not all of us are interested in skipping ahead. Failure to do this shall result in Feem.
-
wait it's on already
YES
someone told me it'd be the 20th or something aaa ;w;
-
...Wait really? I didn't expect it to already be back. Welp, not going to see me complaining. :V
-
Yes, it is back and it is still as awesome as ever.
VIMANA VS F-15 DOGFIGHT HELLS TO THE FUCK YES.
This is truly the greatest COOL.
-
oh hello tokiomi, thank you for further proving mages are eternal dicks and yes, my initial assessment of you is correct.
kirigitsu thank you for doing the smart thing
gilgamesh
we don't talk about gilgamesh anymore
we don't talk about this
-
I believe in Cthulhu and I am watching this.
it is an awesome start to a fantastic show.
-
lolololol Kariya is such a kid
-
Saw eps 14 and 15 on Saturday, aww yeah. :smug:
-
Gilgamesh remains objectively the best. And has a
has a magic jet for no reason.
Also, I am fully happy with what happened to Ryunnosuke; I smiled a true smile.
Rider, you're being as useless as original Rider. I expected better of you, man.
-
well come on, he has an, ahem, 'SECRET IMMEASURABLE WEAPON' that basically amounts to a buffet for this guy
and can't work on water
totally comparable to gate of babylon. totally.
but yeah he's basically just kind of neutered as all fuck here. meanwhile saber gives no fuck about water.
that and i think he's just kind of not capable of doing much with his chariot that isn't running fools over and ramming so like
he has no use here by design. at all. not entirely his fault.
-
For a normal character, I would agree with you. But Rider is hardly normal. Hell, he's just a trip to Shizouka from being a hot-blooded mecha pilot. If anyone could overcome being useless in this kind of situation, it'd be him.
-
Woho! Been waiting for this.
I wonder how the guy in the jet is looking with all the g-forces those turns must have.
:V
I really like the new ED, especially after listening/reading the first season drama CD.
-
I like how Gilgamesh only feels a
light breeze while sitting on his PIMPjet
-
I wonder how the guy in the jet is looking with all the g-forces those turns must have.
He turns to mush
:D

My alternate title for this episode was "A Bunch of Jerks Have a Point". Is it sad that
even Ryuunosuke was starting to make sense to me? :o I mean, like, obviously horrible serial killer sense, but at least his reasoning was sort of sound in its own way.
-
It's interesting, as I've said before, because Ryuunosuke and Caster really do have the best relationship of any Master/Servant combo in Zero or Stay/Night. Like, better than Sabre and Emiya, really. Caster respected Ryuunosuke enough to let himself be swayed by Ryuunosuke's philosophy on life, enough to really toss the whole Grail War aside, while Ryuunosuke honestly looked up to Caster and never really used him as a tool at all. Neither tried to manipulate each other or explicitly use each other as the stepping stone toward some goal. They're honest with each other in a way that no one else ever was; not even Emiya and Sabre can claim that.
-
Oh I agree. It's probably because Ryuunosuke is probably the only TRUE example of a master who used himself to summon his servant.
Seriously, He had no special artifact and the dead bodies and stuff probably were simply fuel for the summoning spell. What attracted Caster was probably Ryuunosuke and his ideals, if you ask me. It's not surprise that they're the best servant/master pair. Though hey maybe I missed something.
Really though, the fun thing about master/servant pairs is figuring out how alike servants and masters are. It really is kind of a universal constant, even when the servants are specifically picked. It's also why Ryuunosuke and Caster are seriously best pair forever.
-
I think of their relationship as Michio Kaku summoning Hawkins as a servant.
and I am not quite all that joking either.
Indeed, Caster and Ryuunosuke is both akin to a same book but on different sides of the covers, they are complimenting, as it is both at once beautiful a relationship as it is mutually damaging, in a sense if either of them (if possible) ever decide to change their ways they probably murder each other or become something involuntary. Not sure if there is a master/servant pair already at odds with each other like Lancer is with the new one. You can tell he doesn't trust her, and he certainly had no reason to like the former.
-
Episode 15 is out gaiz :flowerpower:
-
...Not much to add on the Caster/Ryuunosuke discussion, as I pretty much agree completely. After all, that's what made them such compelling characters, as well as compelling villains.
Kind of a shame we won't be seeing any more of them from this point on, really.
Also, EXCALIBUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUR! The usage of the Sword of Promised Victory is never not awesome, ahah~ I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end as soon as that theme began to play.
Oh, and I suppose this means that at least the character designs from Apocrypha are canon, if nothing else. Probably a good thing, as I always liked Jeanne's design.
-
oh god this episode was so carthartic
tokiomi just going fuck you and then beserker goes 'excuse me gilgamesh, fuck off' and BOOM
eeeeeeeeee
and then EXCALIBUR
-
wait
Apocrypha is canon now?
This episode is all kinds of awesome.
Gotta love it when knightly values triumphs over all other complications.
I really like how Tokiomi is like 'lol fuck this imma just gonna stand here with my pimp stick and watch you scrub your way through with your horribugs' and to think Kirei would be the one to save Berserker's master... I was really thinking him of actually taking Berserker away from him because Assassin is owned hard... I mean, Kirei at least knew how to magic, unlike a certain buglord

The thing about Beserker is that... you don't really want beserker. Really, Zouken is a complete asshole and really means for Matou to lose this round. Beserker is NOT easy to control, we're not seeing it here but essentially trying to control Beserker takes a LARGE amount of power and if you fail, HE KILLS YOU DEAD. Beserker trades a stable servant for MORE POWER. And most importantly Beserker almost always tends to die early because of this.
It's usually used to buff up weaker servants to make them capable of fighting in the war.
Look at Beserker and tell me he's a weaker servant. This also means it's harder to keep him in control, and kind of why I hate Beserker's Master because no random jackass with a year of training should be capable of doing this. It's dumb and stupid and bends rules again.
Kirei knows damn well eventually Beserker will break free, and he doesn't want to be in the way when it does. But he wants to see how things go with this.
-
...I'm going to admit that this was the one scene from the novel I did not want to spoil, because in my opinion it is not only one of the best scenes, but also one of the single most important in terms of theme and foreshadowing. Anyone who knows how Fate/Stay Night went will probably instantly realise the significance of this one scene. So... I'm not really sure what to say about it, other than it is one of the best constructed and best written scenes from the novel, and I am more than happy that the anime did it justice. Forget all the big fights, all the flashy powers and borderline ridiculous stunts pulled off before and even after this point; this is what Fate/Zero is all about. This is probably one of the biggest reasons I think it's better than Fate/Stay Night, because
you finally get to see what a bitter, twisted individual Kiritsugu has become, and what lengths he will stoop to in order to ensure victory. When it really comes down to it, Kiritsugu is just a far more interesting character than his adopted son. As much as I usually sneer at people who think darker and edgier automatically equal better, I have to say that this is one of the times where the dark, edgey, tragic anti-hero works so well; one of the best of those times, even.
So, um... Yeah. Wondering what everyone else thinks about it, ahah.
-
I thought he was already that way and it doesn't take much to cross the line anywhere in the sand.
Hell he already took out a motherfucking building for one guy, what is so hard to do what he did in this. But in that, he has evacuated everyone, so you can see he weighs heavily on innocent lives, as when those who are not in the battlefield do not deserve to die, and if they do, they do so at their own peril (such as watching Caster-Cthulhu in action and getting involved in it like those pilots.)
His is a sense of justice quite like poetry, it does not convey any sense of balance, but rather... a steep edge slope into an abyss of emotionless calculative perfection. If there was a God in my moral and theological belief, that God's personality would be very much like him. He does not force his ideals, there is no honor, as much as there are any chilvary... it is just child's play and Kiritsugu has progressed way beyond that stage... he is in what I call 'enlighten' to see the world as it is, a dark hellhole, he wants his piece of the pie and he has no reason not to commit his evils, and yet his reason is surely itself just.
He is in a sense... beautiful.
in a Hannibal Lecterish kinda way, but even that would be an insult, he is... probably way scarier, while people ponder on scarce and petty issues like knights honor and trying to win the fight, he wants to win the fucking war, capture every POW, torture them, set fire to them, make their country sign a tribute delivery every 3 months, and ensure his own citizens get PR whenever they migrate and have human rights at the same time... he will trample your shit, and all for the common good of everyone except himself and those he view to be his stepping stone to his ultimate goal.
-
I liked this episode.
I liked this episode a lot.
Edit: Except that silly foreshadowing bit. That was hammy and needless.
Edit" Okay Minds recovered. I liked this. Mostly because god damn Kirigitsu pulls shit off with class. Unfortunately.... not without flaws. Diarmund in particular just hammed up hard and uggghhh you were doing so well. Archibel I can somewhat forgive for being an idiot because he's clearly insane at this point. Sola got what she deserved.
I think this was an excellent scene though. We took way too long to get here though, frankly.
-
Excellent last couple episodes.
As for this week's, Lancer's breakdown was hammy, but his eyes were freaking me the hell out at the end there.
I was happy that Saber finally got to be on the giving, rather than receiving end of a "your values are totally messed and unrealistic up what is wrong with you" speech. Not that I disagree with anything Rider said last season, he was absolutely right, but she I was glad she'd at least get her own chance to call someone out.
-
Wow, Kiritsugu's
past is really fucked up, his father is... though not fucked up reflected all his learned values and how he applies them as the Mage Killer he is now...
-
Wow, Kiritsugu's past is really fucked up, his father is... though not fucked up reflected all his learned values and how he applies them as the Mage Killer he is now...
and the scarier thing is, he didn't even hesitate. That's just sick.
It's stated that Shirley eventually died after her transformation into a vampire, but is it really not shown (her death-scene) or maybe I missed it ?
-
It's stated that Shirley eventually died after her transformation into a vampire, but is it really not shown (her death-scene) or maybe I missed it ? [/spoiler]
It's not explicitly stated (or shown), and the anime adaptation changed some things.
In the anime, Kiritsugu stabbed his father before shooting him. The dagger was a gift from Shirley, so it's possible that after Shirley pled for for him to kill her he did as she asked. If he was the one that killed her, that might help explain why he didn't hesitate to kill his father. In the novel he shot his father in the back while the latter was trying to escape. Maybe the change in the anime was filling in details, maybe not.
If Kiritsugu didn't kill her, the Church's Executors and the Mage's Association's Enforcers did. Kiritsugu was the only survivor from the purge.
-
Some people are born with a talent they can do without, but Kiritsugu lived his life up to the moment he wiped off his last trace of humanity with it... this episode...
made me cry like a bitch when he resolved to do the impossible.
when he had to count down the moments when he had to do the utterly undeniable
when he had to deny his crimes and yet admit he did it only because he had to
his pain resonates like no other anime this season.
wow...
seriously.
-
The flashback episodes kind of annoyed me, and I'm glad I've been watching this on a binge rather than a week at a time. While Kiristugu's past is interesting, it seems like a poor idea to just drop it all at once over two episodes. I feel it ought to have been interspersed here and there, in little few minute scenes, as we proceeded onward.
Also, Lancer's death should be hammy; he's a classic Irish hero, and that's how they go down, with curses and shit.
I absolutely loved it.
As for Chaore's comments on Berserker's master being able to control berserker, I suspect part of it is that Kiraya's kind of a berserker type himself. He completely gave up anything resembling safety or longevity to get this one goal. My suspicion is that this gives him kind of a kinship with Berserker, and he's able to exploit it to a degree. Master and Servant synergy is kind of a big theme of the series, so I am seeing it as a manifestation of that. Hell, at this point, does Berserker even care about the grail? Did he ever care? Did OG Berserker?
In regards to the new episode, I am amused about Maiya calling her own death. The only way it could have been more hilarious would be if she were black, or ethnically African. Also, how did Rider find out about the mansion? And how did Sabre and Kiritsugu find the Archibald hideout? Was this revealed beforehand and I forgot it?
Finally, Gilgamesh status: Still The Best. Watching him relax around Kirei and act casually rather than regally haughty is always amusing.
-
It is Kiritsugu, he is a mage killer, I doubt there are things he doesn't know about the targets he is gonna kill. He also seems adept at appearing at places you least expected.
Maiya's death almost pained me. Also this episode Kariya... I guess this is the same feeling as being forced to BEEP your little sister and subsequently consume her BEEP... goddamn it Zouken you monster, how did you even kept this away? what did you do to that girl at such a tender young age?! Only monsters do this and I wish Zouken to really really soon please die a long torturous death in the hands of Berserker.
... my only question might be... why not kill him with Berserker right now? Surely he can now that Zouken given him that.... that thing.
Berserker should take tender loving pleasure with his every orifice...
-
Probably because Berserker has no shits to give about Zouken, and Zouken's probably careful enough to stay out of its way.
-
... my only question might be... why not kill him with Berserker right now? Surely he can now that Zouken given him that.... that thing.
Berserker should take tender loving pleasure with his every orifice...
Well he is full of Zouken's crest worms so he could at best hope for a double knockout i think, which would be all good and stuff but,
(Kinda FS/N Heaven's Feel spoiler) since Kariya probably knows a bit about Zouken's magic he might know how hard he is to kill, transferring his soul betwen worms and all that.
-
Kariya: *snaps, kills the one person he loved. Flips his shit.*
Gil: Laaaaaaame.
Oh Gilgamesh, you will never stop being the best.
Also, is it me, or has Waver largely given up trying to plan or lead by this point. He's pretty much telling Rider to do whatever he feels like.
-
Because Rider knows better about battles than this good for nothing boy does. Until Waver hardens up (his soul and grit, not his you know what) he will be a boy, Rider can only accommodate his whims so far before a real man needs to take charge for the heavy shit.
I don't think Waver plans this far out to drag on, and he certainly doesn't have the best goal at heart to strive for. Kiritsugu for example, is struggling an impossible dream, what does he had? Other than not being bullied because he looks and acts like a girl. (not that it is a bad thing if the trap doujins have something to say)
STILL NO BERSERKER VS SABER in a full out battle/ whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
-
Okays, now that everyone who hadn't already read the novel knows
who Berserker really is...
...Hands up who hadn't guessed it already?
-
I was under the impression it was The Black Knight himself.
as in that french bastard, not who I now found it was.
-
Yeah, that was one of my guesses, along with
Mordred and the comedy option of Ivar the Boneless
Kinda disappointed; I was hoping for the first of those other guesses.
Also: Gil continues to be the best. It's interesting how he had largely had good things to say about Rider. I am also very amused by Rider's proposal to him.
-
Finally caught up again.
I am so glad the Rider fight went exactly how I expected it to. Oh my god yes. Even better, even. He just. YES. DESTROY RIDER'S HOPES AND DREAMS GILGAMESH. I LIKE YOU IN FATE/ZERO NOW. YES. I'm sad waver got to live though. ;w;
Also fuck you rider now you're causing Saber to have an existential crisis in the middle of a fight god damnit.
ALSO TWIST THAT KNIFE. I SHOULD NOT ENJOY WATCHING A MAN I COULD END UP SIMILAR TO BE IN PAIN SO MUCH BUT DO IT SAKURA TWIST THE KNIFE MORE.
-
Chaore your joys makes me smile. =]
-
somewhat relevant news:
TMA releases footage of of their cosplay porn edition of Fate Zero, with Goro as Kiritsugu no less.
I literally laughed to hell with it...
seriously killing the fanbase since 2008.
-
....
WELL THAT EXPLAINS A LOT ABOUT WHY KIRITSUGU DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO GET ILYA BACK
JESUS CHRIST.
-
The uselessness of automatic weapons in this series is more irksome that it should be. =|
I am rather pleased with the Grail's limitation, though. Especially given how Kiristugi has problems with thinking on dichotomies.
-
The sad part is that this episode was pretty much shit compared to the LN. Hopefully the blue ray version with ~20 minutes of cut footage should redeem it, because so much was left out.
Also, Berserker's machine guns were strong enough to fatally wound Saber of they connected. And Kirei's jacket was reinforced to repel bullets with his sleeves. None of this explained.
-
shall I reinterate those were not normal bullets?
but rather IMPROVED MAGIC BASED BULLETS?
-
I am rather pleased with the Grail's limitation, though. Especially given how Kiristugi has problems with thinking on dichotomies.
Well...It's not exactly a "limitation", it's a side-effect of the grail being corrupted after the third Grail War. That isn't how it was made to function.
-
Hmm, could you elaborate it on that?
-
Hmm, could you elaborate it on that?
Well, there's gonna be spoilers covering Fate/hollow ataraxia. Possibly the end of Fate/Zero, so beware if you're not familiar with the plot since I don't think the last episode aired yet.
During the 3rd Grail War, the Einzbern family somehow summoned the only Avenger-class servant. That class was a container only for Avenger, who is also known as Angra Mainyu.
Avenger is not the "real" Angra Mainyu (see the Wikipedia entry for more about that), but an ordinary human that was selected by his other villagers to be the source of all evil in the world. "They captured him, beat him, carved every word that cursed mankind onto his body, forced every sin imaginable upon him, took out bits and pieces of him slowly, defiled his mind with absolute evil, and held him responsible for all of it in the world. They would not allow him to die until he succumbed to old age. He had a curse put on him as a result, one made of the great evil that he was to represent."
Since Avenger's sacrificed eased the minds of those people, that actually qualified him to be summoned as Hero under the Grail system...normally only "good" Heroic Spirits could be summoned (then again, nothing he did in life could be considered evil).
Since the Grail contains the Heroic Spirits after they are defeated in the war, the Grail ended up containing and being corrupted by Avenger (who represents all the evils in the world). That sludge corrupted the Greater Grail after it was spilled when Saber destroyed the Holy (Lesser) Grail, which is why servants like Medusa (Rider in the 5th war that takes place in Fate/Stay Night).
An amusing tidbit is that Gilgamesh is basically so damned full of his self that his ego kept him from being corrupted by the sludge, and he instead gets a physical body.
-
I think I expressed myself poorly.
I meant that I liked that the grail could only grant wishes in a way that the bearer could understand it working. And poor Kiritsugu, he's always had a problem of considering everything a matter of who needs to be killed, rather than looking for third ways.
-
I think I expressed myself poorly. I meant that I liked that the grail could only grant wishes in a way that the bearer could understand it working. And poor Kiritsugu, he's always had a problem of considering everything a matter of who needs to be killed, rather than looking for third ways.
I understood that when I made my original reply, which is why I mentioned that what you liked about it wasn't how the system was designed to work. Your second post I interpreted as you asking me for more information about how the grail was corrupted.
Which is kinda relevant, because:
The Grail is trying to influence Kiritsugu. You know the two boat dilemma that it showed him? It asserted that he would kill all 200 people, presumably because of how it perceives him.
But Kiritsugu is a logical thinker and would pick the solution with the best outcome. If he killed 200 people like the grail said, that means only 100 would survive. That's not the best outcome.
One more thing:
The "ultimate goal" of magi is to reach Akasha, the Root. That's where the Akashic Records is. It exists beyond time, and is the source of everything that exists and happens in the universe. It also is the record of everything that happens (and everything that could possibly happen) in the past, present, and future.
The Grail System was created to help find a path to Akasha, and what I previously described isn't something that any person can truly understand beyond a definition. The whole concept of the Grail Wars is extremely flawed if the Grail had a restriction like that...how could you possibly understand reaching a location that exists outside of time? Or understand something that is the origin everything that ever is, ever has been, or could possibly have ever been? What would it look like, and how could you interact with it?
-
The thing is, that's perfectly possible.
There were 2 wars before hand that didn't involve angra manyu shenanigans. They didn't end in 'X FAMILY HAS ATTAINED THE GOAL OF THE MAGI'.
And we've seen how perfectly to plan the holy grail war has gone for the three families lately.
-
Yeah, Chaore's got it.
Just because they thought it would work doesn't mean it would actually work. That'd actually be rather fitting, given one of the major themes of the working with the grail is that it just doesn't do what you expected of it and it falls short.
-
Huh, little surprised there. I was sure the final words of the series would be
"Good morning, sempai!"
, but I suppose it still worked out pretty well anyways.
Now where's my Heaven's Feel adaptation.
EDIT: Oh right, before I forget... The reason the Grail was never activated in the previous wars wasn't because of any fault in the Grail itself, but because... All of the Masters and Servants killed each other before anyone could actually claim the completed Grail, due to there being no rules to the wars. This is why they brought in the church to supervise, so that there was someone to enforce rules and make sure the same thing didn't happen yet again.
-
i was doing fine until the funeral and i just
ALL THE SADS ;w;
Again given how heavily it seems I may end up kariya one day oh man did I love the worms eating him and sakura dissing his corpse
I kind of liked the final words. It's basically ending up Kiritsugu as a character, and well, it WAS his story. I'm a sucker for that scene though, it's why i love the song normally accompanying it so god fucking damn much.
-
Damn I love Nakata Jouji's voice.

Concurred.
If Gil has proper flesh now, why did Kotohime need to have numerous people as mana batteries to maintain him in the Fate path? Or was that Kotohime just being a bastard? Also; was it ever mentioned in Stay Night whether Kotohime had no heartbeat or anything?
Also Kariya is the worst strangler. You fail at everything, Kariya.
Also also: what ended up happening to Waver? Is it ever said in one of the other side things?
Finally: I want an episode 26. I want an Excel Saga style Episode 26.

Whilst he is alive, he still needs the mana to power his Noble Phantasms, which is why they do the mana battery thing. And it's mentioned that he has no heart; in at least one route it's actually crucial to a couple of scenes.
Also also: what ended up happening to Waver? Is it ever said in one of the other side things?
He goes back to England and ends up becoming the new Lord El-Melloi, proving once and for all that Kayneth was a douchebag and Waver was right all along. Later, after the Heaven's Feel route, he returns to Fuyuki to dismantle the Grail for good.

That... Kinda sucks. I'd prefer to have seen him go rogue and travel the world, spreading the teachings of ALEXANDER THE GREAT like a lunatic. Instead he basically just... goes where he was already going. to be a great mage. I mean honestly a deal of his success probably did come from what he learned in the holy grail war, but gods DAMN that was kind of disappointing to hear.
Rider should come back and bitchslap him.
Also Kariya is the worst strangler. You fail at everything, Kariya.
I'll suspend my sobbings long enough to take this seriously.
THAT WAS THE WORST FUCKING PART OF THE ENDING. SERIOUSLY, FUCK YOU KARIYA YOU RUINED EVEN YOUR OWN DAMN ARC.
I hate hate hate HATE how blatantly just for despair that was played. 'BY THE WAY SHE ACTUALLY SURVIVED, AND IS NOW INSANE'. It was shoddy, mostly (atleast in the anime) out of the fucking blue, and just kind of really aimed at forcing a breakdown even harder and it's like really all we needed was the azoth. That is believable, Rin is strong but not made of god damn titanium WE DO NOT NEED TO NUKE HER EMOTIONS.
i will now sob anyway because aaaa the azoth fuck you kirei whyyy ;w;

I don't know if you're new to Fate at all but that's basically all of Heaven's Feel right there. It's incredibly terrible, blatant emotional appeal at the basest level.

I love how it is all Heaven's Feel - the remix = right now.
which comes this mind.
does this lead to a second season of Fate stay night anime?

I think you mean Sakura, but that's an easy mix up to make. I'd argue she at least was handled better. This... This is just bad, and pointless, and oh my god I can not put to words how much worse it was honestly handled. It's like if we got shoved everything about sakura in one day of Heaven's feel. IMAGINE THAT.
Also no, I'm actually a huge nasufag. That was also kind of condescending to assume 'Oh you MUST be new here' and kind of rude.

Think of it as Waver conquering his old school, smashing the old order, and ruling it with a fist of Hellenistic iron,
I think Rider would be satisfied with that.
Speaking of Hellenes, it's interesting there was only one Grecian hero this time. Last time almost half of summoned ones were >=|

Basically, what Purvis said. Also, according to some official (yet possibly tongue in cheek) sources:
"On a side note, Waver inherited Volumen Hydragyrum and modified it into a kind of humanoid automaton that does chores, not too unlike the liquid metal Terminator. It seems there's a troublesome bug that sometimes causes it to run out of control insisting that it's a killer robot from the future. Is it because of a harmful movie it was shown during its developmental stages?"
I don't care if this is a joke, this is now my personal canon.

It seems there's a troublesome bug that sometimes causes it to run out of control insisting that it's a killer robot from the future. Is it because of a harmful movie it was shown during its developmental stages?"
I don't care if this is a joke, this is now my personal canon.
why can't it think of itself as a robot maid from the future in the form of liquid metal?

Also no, I'm actually a huge nasufag. That was also kind of condescending to assume 'Oh you MUST be new here' and kind of rude.
... I'm really not sure how you came to that conclusion? I genuinely had no idea if you had played the game or not. <_<

...sorry I guess I read it a bit wrong. I didn't know you meant it as 'I don't know if this means anything to you, but...' and thought it meant 'You've clearly never read x'.
Mea culpa.

A thing that bothers me, on reflection. Berserker's deal was that he could turn whatever he wielded into a noble phantasm, right?
So why was this a thing that Lancelot could do? I'm not that up on my Arthurian legends, but I don't recall Lancelot being know as the improv weapon king or anything. Maybe I'm wrong?

It's based on this bit:
"It were shame," said Lancelot, "for an armed to slay an unarmed man."
"Thou hast no other favor from me," said Sir Phelot.
"Alas!" cried Sir Lancelot, "that ever any knight should die weaponless!" And looking overhead, he saw a great bough without leaves, and wrenched it off the tree, and suddenly leaped down. Then Sir Phelot struck at him eagerly, thinking to have slain him, but Sir Lancelot put aside the stroke with the bough, and therewith smote him on the side of the head, till he fell swooning to the ground. And tearing his sword from out his hands, he shore his neck through from the body. Then did the lady shriek dismally, and swooned as though she would die. But Sir Lancelot put on his armor, and with haste took his horse and departed thence, thanking God he had escaped that peril.
Hence the ability's name, Knight of Honor: A Knight Does Not Die with Empty Hands.
