Alright, so after making 30 songs, I finally have a song I'd want to show off.
And, here. (http://youtu.be/ktuT-5Z9TbE)
Now all that's left is for me to figure out how to draw anything, then I'm good.
-
The drums are a little (just a little) too loud and the trumpet part at the end feels tacked on tbh, but other than that I have no complaints about this mix.

Oh okay, never noticed that with the drums. (And I knew about the trumpet part, but I was too lazy to fix it, then I completely forgot about it)

I find the background strings a bit too loud and overpowering, and drums could be a bit quiteter.
I'd also raise the flute up an octave and add something in the background at that part.

I have no idea if this counts as me being sure to reply, but

(inb4 it's terrible in some way I didn't notice before I uploaded)

A bit too much with the strings again, not to mention a lack of harmony portion.
Track is a bit too simple instrumentally. Strings, a Flute / Romantic Tp layering for certain parts, bass, and drums...and I think that is it? Definitely a counter-melody, harmony, and counter-harmony are in order, and certain melody parts might use different instrumentation to give some variety.

That's not bad. It sounds pretty prog, so definitely add some more drum fills, especially on that first beat that plays from the beginning to the B section. You change it up well enough later on.
Really to make this sound full enough, just add some sort of piano or other polyphonic instrument to fill out the space between the bass and the trumpet/string lead. To make the lead more interesting, try separating the strings and trumpet at certain points and make them compete for attention. Could be interesting. By no means am I demanding you do such a thing, just try it and see if it works, cause I have no idea. The song already structurally sounds complete and it's got a nice melody. The samples are kinda bad but I'm assuming you're trying to make it sound like touhou, in which case you're doing a good job.

I have no idea what I'm doing by this point. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QudG5faWStY)
And before you ask, the song is heavily repetitive because it's a credits song~ (Yes, I know this is a terrible excuse)

G-GUYS, AM I NOT TERRIBLE YET?

That actually sounds like something ZUN would compose. You're definitely improving! Good job.
Now you just need to sound better than ZUN. Upgrade your rompler :) something he should've done 10 years ago tfgmajdfajtgkaet

Do you tell chiptune musicians to get "better" synths too ?
-
Yes :V
I guess if this song's made to sound like touhou I have no complaints.
-
I personally love your arranges! :*
The simple melody really sounds good to my ear.
I noticed that it lacks impact on more upbeat songs, as in the rhythm (drums) is rather monotone to my personal opinion.
Add fill-ins, more dynamic sound/harmony (as in the volume dynamic)
Anyway, keep on the good works!

At some point I think I forgot where I was going with this.
Also, I realized I have no clue how panning works.

Sounds like it could be an ending credits theme.
Sounds really touhou-y, I love it.

It sounds like a Fairy Wars music :P
