These are all resin kits that are part of what I think is called the "treasure chest" series. Most of these have already been released, while Patchouli is a brand new one.
These are the main ones. There are probably many more touhou figures but we'll have to wait until the japanese post pictures of the event to see them.

The LiquidStone figues are rediculous (Over $100), but the others are 6000 yen each and recast versions are cheaper (around $40).
Also plushie prices seem to have dropped on ebay (or at least they aren't going up as high). You should have waited to get them :V

Concern yourself not with me i waited or even better bouth 2 of them from GIFT's site for 30 bucks each as soon as they opened
and 2 others i got on ebay for 60-65 bucks pretty decend seeing how they went for up to 150 bucks *shudder* I just have 2 more to get Patchy and Alice. Check the old thread i linked up top for other details and jazz hehe.

hahah i saw those cards too. I'm watching them myself. I don't know at all but i think they are new. I'm gonna buy me a pack later. But ask the seller. They'll respond soon enough. Heck I'll ask him myself. I want them too afterall and i wanna see what's actually in the thing.
But i think they are brand new so who knows how much they are. haha I only seen em on ebay but i haven't actually LOOKED anywhere else. i just saw em randomly and decided to watch em and maybe buy em later.

This is also made by angeltype so i hope i can find it and buy it somewhere. haha great now i have Patchouli and Inu-Sakuya to find haha.

A guy i met on Ebay who sold me my first plush (Remilia) helped me locate them in various places in japan since it would be cheaper to buy there. i ended up finding Gift's website and paid him to buy them for me. When they ship out later this month. He'll ship them out to me. i bought 3 other plushes this way and he's reliable so its all good hehe.

Hi, I'm really interested in some Touhou figures. How big are the Liquid Stone posable Marisa and Reimu kits? I want figures that are kinda Microman sized(under 4 inches). Are there any other figures that are around that height? I guess they don't need to be posable since mostly all they do is fly around the place. I'd rather something I don't have to paint otherwise I may as well make my own custom figure, sculpting's not so hard for me, painting drives me nuts.
What could I use as a base for a custom figure? Or should I just do it from scratch?

try asking Suikama i guess. i tried looking around but my searching skills failed me. He may know something more since he posted them up. hehe. He did say the prices are very high though.

I assume they are prepainted. Because nowhere it reads you have to paint them self or glue them. For 78 bucks they BETTER be painted. I just wished the shipping costs weren't that expensive. Holland is frikken expensive to ship =.=

Agreed. Also, when they try to make them look "realistic," at any scale, they tend to look at least a little freaky. Plushies and such are an exception. Though... I do want to see a Touhou equivalent to Sader:

Even without painting, you still have to clean up the resin pieces--wash off the mold release, fix imperfections in the casting process. And putting them together isn't cake and roses, either; you'll have to brace the resin with brass rods for stability, and putty up cracks. Lots of sanding and dremeling all around. Very labor-intensive, potentially very unhealthy.

Regarding figs: all of them would be subject to a HIGH level of leaning if not taken properly, being stood up with such spindly legs is not ideal..
For dolfies, consider well before getting one. you should take care of the, i'm more superstitious then others but when you haf a dolfie, you should take care of it like a pet, did you ever wake up with a dolfie staring at you in the pitch black darkness? eerie i tell ya and hell, dolls were used as a vessel for holding souls in the dark ages so yea

Yes actually. The thing with sculpting is that you can constantly fix it up(apoxie dries much slowed) and it's less messy than paint. A quick paint job is a lot easier than sculpting, but the most difficult parts of scratch building are fixing everything up right, which you have to do with a resin kit anyway.
It barely matters for me since it will be a very long time before I can afford any Touhou figurines anyways, though...

Anyway, when you buy a resin kit, you're not only paying for the pieces themselves, you're paying for a particular sculptor's vision and style. Sculpting a figurine takes the challenges of high-level art and literally adds another dimension to it--and like any other artform you're going to pay a premium.

Which is why it's good to learn the skill if you have time... Videos on sculpting such figures exist on youtube and offer as good tutorials...

Toyslogic is generally known for its high ripoff prices. Though they shipped my Luffy and Franky POP PVC figure in some blanc box as a "gift". So I didn't had to pay import taxes. When I bought Brooke from HobbyLink Japan I got charged tax over the item =.= that hurts.
I am still hoping for an awesome Kanako, Yuyuko, Mokou or Shiki Eiki figure. FAITH. Maybe a Tewi one for my little cousin.

Like i said earlier i paid him through paypal, since GIFT doesn't ship internationally, to have him order Flan and Marisa for me and had to wait a month since they were preorders. Once he got them i paid for shipping to come here at my home and there they are ^^ i FINALLY have them in my possession thank God!. PAtchouli is the only one left!

I'm gonna sell my figs like i said to help get cash and whatnot.....I could theoretically get the 2 Remilia figs if i sell off some old animes and these figs easily enough..... *sigh* well my sights are set on those 2 figs now but they are more of a wishlist kinda thing than something i REALLY wanna get. Yes the keychain is expensive but I am heavy doubting if I should get it or not =[ I probably should not because I am planning a trip to Japan next year anyway. And I am sure buying the merchandise there would be far better.

I didn't buy the keychain eventually. How much I crawled in my room, bit my nail, did endless coinflipping and dicing and they all told me to buy but I had to resist. It is way too expensive for such a small object. 34 bucks is almost half the price of a figure.
Anyway I bought from toylet because they had One Piece stuff aswell. I bought two extra items as presents for my little cousins which I promised I would give them a gift if they succeed in their school year.

I found a website that's selling them for around 6000 yen apiece, which would probably be around $85-90 shipped to the US. I wouldn't be able to get the Wonderfest Exclusives though. I imagine those are actually worth $150.
I don't want to blow my own horn (because I'm not Merlin), but I figure I'd give a heads up just in case.

225 bucks for 5 plushes? that's 45 bucks a plush. that's REALLY dam good ^^ I wish i had that change since i spent an average of 65 bucks per plush just about.
But yeah their are still a good handful of em floating. I don't think you'll find em at any anime shops or doujin shops anymore since i scoured the net lookin for em and every place i saw either didn't have em or if they did they were sold out. Ebay is where i got 5 of the 7 plushes. All the sellers are located in Japan (or at least most of them) so shipping is gonna be 15 bucks about no matter what. EMS is really fast gets delivered 3=5 days after they ship out. Seriously. Their prices have gone up a bit since they used to run auctions at 49.99 now they are 59.99 or even buy it now for 85 bucks (plus 15 shipping is 100 bucks a plush..)

The alternate colour version of Remilia was for sale only short period on toyslogic. Though it was rediciliously overpriced, like 150 bucks. The figure in the picture you shown looks nice, but her face seems bit odd.

Those giant suikas are rarer than the plushes i bought. last i checked they were going for a LOT of money. from 150 to 300 or so o_- as for who made it....i dunno. i'd have to look it up again if i want to find out i suppose. There is an even rarer suika with a ">o<" face and that one is only in super limited supply. i haear there could only be one that exists or just a super limited supply.

I payed 150 + 40 for shipping for it. Not too bad, I was really surprised when nobody else bid on it, though. Figured with how crazy people were getting over the normal plushies, they'd go nuts upon seeing that. I also saw the article about the other Suika. There were 10 made, but I think 9200 dollars is a bit much.

I found a couple of the keychains, and that Magical Sakuya fig I've been looking for for AGES on Palet Mail. I'm wondering if there might be a site where I can get a bunch of the keychains though. Some of the newer ones look good.
The only problem is I don't really know if I want the Reimu one. It's got her sitting down with her eyes closed. Are there any other figures/PVCs or anything around that size of her that aren't like that? Otherwise I'll make my own.

I'm really depressed about this. I was sure I'd finally be able to get the keychain figs but it turns out they were all out of stock.
I can't find any other sites that have them in stock. I can get Remilia from one site and Yukari from another, but they're usually sold in sets from what I can tell. If anyone's selling any let me know, I know there's a lot of new Touhou stuff coming out like statues and Nendoroids so there might be a chance someone might have them for sale.

Since of the Pink Company's policy of never re-make any products they released, they only appear in JP yahoo auction sometimes /w insanely price.
The last time I saw Cirno one last at about 10000yen

Yeah, I'm looking for that but it's probably going to shoot up to prices I can't afford pretty easy(Paletweb had it for $40 but it went out of stock a couple of days ago). It is only a <$20 mini fig originally and I need to budget, especially if I'm going to collect all the rare ones like the original Reimu, Marsia Cirno and Alice. Forza said he saw it but I didn't take him up on it because I thought Palet web had it. It's not as hard to find as the other stuff. I could get it off YAJ! but that's a pain.

Hey guys. I was planning to ask somewhere; Does anyone here have any IRL-experience with Griffon Enterprises' Touhou-figurines? My impression of them keeps changing.
GriffonE seem to be confident in widening their selection, however, their new touhou-only-website has got Flandre, Alice and Reisen named, but no pictures yet. Also, there are several empty slots, waiting to be filled with names. ...partly because of this I'm curious about whether or not I should be prepared to spend money on their stuff.
Also, I am unsure whether or not I should be getting all three of Toranoana's latest Touhou-vinyls >_>;; I only really like the Patchouli and FLIPFLOPs had me somewhat disappointed with their Remilia-design. Plus they take up SO much space... space I don't have.

Ooh, Thanks! It's nice to get some untouched pictures. The quality looks somehow like I imagined, not horrible, but not extraordinary either. I am a detail!freak, but I still like their overall impressions. I really like Remilia's pose. But there are prettier figurines for the same amount of money, so yeah...

Flandre's pose feels pretty spot on to me, she'd look good with Remilia. Alice somehow looks predictable, but she is too, one of their better ones. And the fact that I prefer her eyes to be blue are just a taste-thing.

Yes, but doesn't auction-sites usually solve that problem? You usually have to pay a bit more then, but since the original price isn't all that much, it probably shouldn't be too much money~ To buy them one and one and not knowing what you get might even be more expensive.
And I suppose this makes the first set of Touhou trading figurines we've seen so far?

I dunno if people know this but if my timing is correct. GIFT released these three plushes....BEFORE the release of Hisoutensoku! I mean during the time that we knew it was an expansion pack but didn't know the new confirmed characters. I find that kinda suspicious :D

Well during the times i didn't have the money to look for em and the plushes are easily available on ebay so when i did get the money i'd go after them first. As my goals stated though I'ma look for the Shanghai doll by the same company as well as eventually getting those hand puppets. If i have to ask you then i will, but as you can see i'm pretty adaptable at getting these things myself through japanese sellers i frequent on ebay ^_^ i literally started the touhou plush market via "Want it Now" section after i got my first plush everyone started selling them haha. I bet that it'll happen again if i make a Want it Now for the hand puppets too or something. but if i have too i have no problem asking you or the guy i worked with to get some of the plushes who basically does the same thing as you.
I've got options and that's nice to have eh? hehe~

Then, there's T's System's Alice. She was only made as a Resin-kit, but their Marisa was made into a painted PVC, and their Reimu is to released in the future, so chances are there will be a PVC-version of Alice too. That is an old Resin-kit if I'm not wrong. They will be making a PVC out of it? It's really pretty... It has some attitude, I like that in a Reimu. Judging by the info given, it seems like it is March 2010 indeed.

Pink Company have their running "ToHo Deformed"-series and they will most likely keep making new characters in it. I have seen no Alice yet, but hinted future releases would be Sanae, Sakuya, Meiling and the Yakumo Family, so for them to make an Alice seems far from impossible.
About this series I mentioned earlier, (http://www.toranoana.jp/info/hobby/100301_touhou/) those figurines are based on the illustrations that toranoana use to promote/decorate their Touhou-online-comics-website. There is no Alice among the original illustrations, and I doubt that they will make a new set of figurines without a new set of illustrations...
How big are Figuttos?
They 16 cm/6 inches tall. They aren't in scale, but that is about the same as a 1/8-scale of a normal heigh-character.

Scarlet sisters, I had alot of trouble getting Remilia to stand because her legs were mm too wide and the material they used for the figures is quite hard and not flexible. I was scared I would break her leg >.< but thank god that didn't happen. Flandre was easier to mount. Not to mention Remilia's Gungnir spear is a pain to attach, her grip seems bit lose. ( Note: I also harmed myself with the Gungnir, seriously, a little bleeding because the bloody thing has SHARP ends. )

Eiki and Komachi, I love their expressions. And Eiki comes with her rod of sins and a "X / O" sign which probably decides if she approves or dissaproves. ( I seem to have comitted too many sins. Her sign shows a X. )

conclusion:
I am not a figure knower or extreme collector, but the paint jobs on these figures are ok ( obvious mistakes can be seen above on Eiki's hat where the lines are missing ). They are small and come with many details so I can understand the difficulty of making each figure perfect. ( Especially for mass production ). Neverless, I am happy.

I really like the Touhou Super Deformed Series myself. I have all the figurines in it so far, and they are cheap but really nice, and I'm very happy with all of them. The paint-jobs have some smaller errors, but the sculpts are pretty amazing in detail. Number 00, Magical Maid Sakuya-chan, even has a cast-off dress.

I have both the Marisa and the Reimu in that series, and while I did manage to finish Reimu my Marisa is still not quite done. I mainly had some problems with the glueing. I'd like to offer some advice, but the only thing I can really say is that resin kits take a crap load of time to finish, or, it did for an amateur like me.

Since this is a 1/7 and not 1/8, she's not in the same series as their other Touhou-figurines. With the stand Sakuya is 28,5 cm tall, and she costs 8,000 yen. Preorders are open now, and she's to be released sometime in later February next year.
They have also revealed that their next releases in the 1/8-series will be Kaguya, Eirin and Reisen. Their next figguto will be Marisa.

I don't think there's anymore info other than what's available at Toranoana's site, since they are manufacturing them and selling them themselves. As for what I can tell, they are probably not very expensive, though they might be a bit hard to come by since things like these are usually sold for limited times.

Toranoana seem to be mashing out Touhou-stuffs more than ever these days, not that I can really complain. I'm not a huge fan of Aya, and while this PVC of her have a few awkward things about it, I'm totally loving the pose and clothes. If I wasn't Christmas-broke I'd probably pre-order her on the spot.
As for the Reimu, I'm mainly interested I wether or not her parts are compatible with the Nendoroid, since that would boost the appeal of both figurines. I also remember seeing a resin-kit of a non-deformed 1/8 Reimu based on the same illustrations as this one, so I am excited to see wether or not that one will be released too.

Actually I was looking for that information before I wrote my previous post... But I couldn't find any information on it, neither on Toranoana or on the circle's homepage. They seem to be non-scale, so we can't assume anything from that either. You could go by some of the pictures taken of them however, and I would assume that they're 13-15 cm high.
I'm trying to find sauces for this since I know I saw pictures of these figurines at Comiket76, and then they were showcased next to figurines that we know the height of.

This Reimu by Toranoana is 17cm. The Marisa by Golden factory seems to stand a few cm below that.

God, am I happy about this! She's so cute! She's the prettiest TouhouNendo by far. Plus she's been spoiled with one expression more than Marisa and Reimu.

I'm not that much for the characters, but the figurines are looking pretty good. Kaguya's dress is really pretty, and I like the sculpt for Eirin's hair. I'm looking forward to see how Reisen turns out.

If you are good with any Meiling as long as it's PVC, there's always PinkCompany's Touhou Deformed series. They are cute and pretty cheap. Their next set is a Meiling and a Sakuya. There should be more info + links in older posts in this thread.

4 inches is about 10 cm, right? If the figurines you want are to be non-deformed, finding ones that are around 10 cm/4 inches is pretty hard, if not impossible. Larger kinds of trading figurines are usually around that size, but I can't really see anything like that with Touhou character being produced anytime soon. Plus, such figurines are usually cheap, they are also of low quality. I'd rather advice you to save your money and get something more expensive that lasts.
As for deformed figurines, there's Nendoroids and Liquid Stone's mame-series. They are both around 10 cm in height.

If it's an Eiki and a Komachi, I'm highly interested in them as well. They better look good, but I might end up getting them either way. I mean, I don't think we will be seeing PVC of them made by any other company any time soon. And I really love both characters.
I am just a bit confused by Griffon's character choices. You'd think they'd cover more popular and major characters like Yukari, Suika and Cirno before Eirin and Kaguya or Komachi and Eiki.
Or maybe I am just biased because I really really want a Yukari PVC. IDK if Griffon would be the optimal brand, though.

Nitpick or not, I agree with how many of the poses could have been a lot better. I especially think that Marisa and Reimu are looking quite plain. I'm the kind of person who really thinks that an interesting pose or unique details are more important than a flawless paint job, but Griffon are really pending on both.

As the first day of Comiket77 is now behind us and as the second day is in the works, I've been doing my rounds to see what we're all missing out on here in the west.
I've come across some of GSC's new releases, revealing that in 2010 we will have Figma Marisa, and she will be released in April, costing 2,800yen.
And while we all saw that coming, something that made me a lot more surprised is that we will also have a full Touhou Puchi-Nendoroid set! No info on how many pieces the set will be or when it'll be released, but looking on GSC past releases is could be any number from three to ten. The confirmed characters for the set are Reimu and Suika. And Suika is looking really sweet~

The Utsuho does really look awesome~ I've seen some of the other works by the same people and they are all looking great. Even the unfinished garage-kits are expensive though, around 8000yen. A while back I was half-seriously planning on buying their Sanae, Suwako and Kanako. Only, well, I was just being stupid. Because I can't afford that, and I don't have the skills to do anything with the kits even if I could afford them. orz

That's hard to tell, since they haven't given us any information other than the pictures. But given the usual time it takes from the first sneak-peaks to actual announcement, I'd give it a few months. If we're lucky it will be earlier than that. February or March at the earliest, probably.
Other than that, let's see. Toranoana have now announced the Touhou figurines they displayed pictures of at C77.
First we have the second figurine in their own PVC series, a 1/8 scale Sanae. 17cm tall, and she's set to be released in March. She comes with a small booklet of 4koma, it seems.

I bought a plush of Reimu and a yukkuri pillow in Akihabara... Which was in July of last year, so Touhou merchandise was quite abundant there. I'll likely post a picture of myself wearing the yukkuri on my head, eventually. As for now, I don't have the camera handy.

I think it has a sticker for the base or something (if you buy it from certain stores) but in general it comes like that (maybe minor assembly required)

I want a little slice of Gensoukyou in my room too #? ∀ `# I'm planning on ordering the Aya figure that seems like it will debut at this year's Reitaisai, as well as the Kotobukiya Marisa w/ lamp. And maybe just maybe the Scarlet sisters set by Pink Company too at some point...
And I intend to hunt down that festival Reimu based on the last Reitaisai's event catalog cover art, and a real T's System Alice (there seem to be bootlegs of it, which look godawful). Kakaku search, however, isn't pulling anything up on them T__T Hopefully Griffon's Flandre will be easier to find.
One thing I'm wanting to know more about: Even though Paletweb's fanworks and collectibles seem jeuuuuuust a bit overpriced (a good bit, actually e.e;;; ), the fact that they keep the games in stock diligently is something I find praiseworthy. And EMS option is <3 (Otherwise shipping overseas can sometimes be risky business) So they seem like good folks, as far as merchants go. Nevertheless, just to make sure they're alright in the collectibles department too, I'm wondering if anyone has ordered figures from Paletweb before? (Still, if only sites like Tora no Ana or Melon Books would ship to North America~~)

oo yeah I love those sculpts I just bought the Tenshi Hinanai on the right. I already own the Marisa and Reimu from the same group (both Reimu and Tenshi were sculpted by the same guy) I didn't like the Shikieiki sculpt as much and was running low on $$ so I had to pass. Very happy.
Though originally I kind of wanted Marisa and I heard there was a Rumia(which there now is apparently)... I guess I was going through a blondes in black and white phase. I think this style of figure looks best with nice bright colours.

The green items increase your score multiplier. IN UFO there are other green stars that are empty and those are the ones that are bomb pieces.
But since game 10 the green star items increase your score multiplier but there are other green stars that are hallow in UFO that give bomb parts. Those are the ones you are thinking of hehe.

Well technically I got two Remilias, if you count the super deformed chibi one.
Well I collect for the feeling, not actually really for the show. The same goes for my One Piece figures, I got one of each ( all Megahouse POP figures ). Problem is Megahouse keeps releasing them in newer styles. Such as the latest OP movie, The Strong World (forgot exact name). Zoro being my favourite character hurts me seeing he has a much more awesome and badass look. But then again MegaHouse IS a good figure producer.
I already posted in the kourin thread, most likely I will get it and I am now hoping VERY HARD on a Flandre with Laevithein. Now that would be massive heaven (ry.

Toranoana will sell them in August. Each pack of 8 has a full set, but getting an certain character from a single box is all up to chance. Like you'll have a 1/8 chance of getting Eirin for example.
