For those who don't know what this is; you're not alone. There's barely any info on this game, even in Japanese!. What I do know about this game is that it's being developed by EXAMU, the same company that created Arcana Heart. It also has a release date set for July 16th in Japanese arcades. HOPEFULLY it will be a big enough hit to warrant a North American release and a GOOD console port. Otherwise, we'll simply have to make due watching Shonen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJZn3ClQarY&feature=channel_page) pick up Kureha (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wi5uWDSdGJo), and destroying everyone with GraveDigger loops. :V
(Interestingly, it also contains an element from IaMP: Grazing.)

And Touhou-loving MUGEN-goers may even get some new pals to play using. . . . If, in fact, this Daemon Bride thing turns out to be any good.

EDIT: That vid of Kureha . . . not only does Kureha seem to fight like a Testament expy (as you illustrated), but . . . his opponent in that vid reminds me of both Eddie AND Testament's 'EXE Beast'. (Yes, I play GG. My local arcade pulled its GGXX, though, making me RAGE.)

'Simple Mode' in the trailer made me laugh out loud. Dial-a-combo on every button.

Not sure what to expect of this, but it's probably worth seeing what happens with it.

And is Michael female in this or am I seeing things?

I do. I would also like to elucidate, as it seems I have not made myself clear enough. It reminded me both of Eddie and of Testament's EXE Beast.
 
It helps me out a lot when people manage to pick up context clues. Like the fact that I play Guilty Gear and that Eddie does not in fact have EXE Beast.
Let alone the fact that the two together implies that I actually know that and that it was just a fluke of punctuation. I play Testament and hate fighting Eddie with a passion. Or at least I did while my local arcade carried it.

Though I still say that he has the consistency of an EXE Beast. That, or an Angel.

I'd disagree on Dawn, I think his octo-arm looks too gangly and weak in his concept art. Having the head on his shoulder makes it look stronger. Eve's other outfit was better though, yes.

I want to play the scruffy priest with the loli angel.

People who focus too much on upper body muscle training would look about like that...although his leg should had also adapted to the new weight with the larger muscle by becoming a bit bigger...so I will assume the octopus act like his third leg.

Anyways, here's the story:

Since time out of mind it has raged on, the battle between angels and demons. In this world of seemingly endless chaos, a flash suddenly appeared.

The gates to another "world", connected to this one, were opened. Seeking new power, they came, spiralling to the ground. Light and darkness poured down.

Among them were mighty demons, burdened with the seven deadly sins; majestic angels with the power to oppose them came forth as well.

A terrible disaster struck in the heart of Kanto…

The "Great Tokyo Disaster."

Seven years later, saved by the Holy Order Legion and concealed in a “birdcage”, the Sacred City of Tokyo. The Great Tokyo Disaster has brought about a dimensional distortion which tenuously holds the two worlds together. Thus dwell here angels and devils, and also the “contract holders” who gain their powers.

Teaching Centre Stella Academy Student Council, nexus of the Holy Order Legion. The council chairman, Kuon Sumeragi, is hailed as a genius and the strongest on campus, and rumoured to be a candidate for forming a contract with the angel Michael.

However, in search of greater power with which to enforce his beliefs, Kuon has raised a banner of revolt against God and pursues the goal of signing a contract with the Demon Lucifer, fallen from Heaven.

The day of the ritual’s completion. The events taking place at the academy shake the birdcage-like world.

Angel, devil, and human. All of their fates intricately intertwined. Tokyo becomes the stage for a battle.
