> Is Yumeko our superior?
> Is something strange with Yumeko right now?
Yuki:
> "Hello, Yumeko-san."
Mai:
> "If I may ask... when did you leave?"
Yuki:
> "Did someone caused a ruckus? Or is some kind of incident?"
> How closer as friends we are to Yuki/Mai?
>"A place where there are no gateways? What kind of a place is that?"
>"If you don't know who is behind it, does that mean they have escaped?"
> Do we know about the Palanquin Ship?
>Kneel humbly.
> Is Lady Shinki voice? Make sure to verify that visually, and if indeed she is:
>> Show respect to our mother and kneel down.
Yuki:
> "Mother, is something troubling you to come here personally?"
>Nod and make some distance.
Yuki:
> "Don't worry anymore, Lady Shinki, I will take care of it."
Mai:
> "You? She said the two."
Yuki:
> "Well, I count as two people. And besides, you might get hurt."
> Laugh.
Mai:
> "Full of yourself, aren't you?"
> Look at Shinki.
> "We'll do our best and more, mother."
Yuki:
> "No need to worry! I will investigate AND resolve this!"
Mai:
> "Do not expect that amount of luck, little girl."
Yuki:
> "L-Little girl?! And you think you are tall?"
Mai:
> "No... but at least I'm not arguing like one."
Yuki:
> Blush embarrased.
> "W-Why you...!"
Mai:
> "May we go now, Lady Shinki?"
Yuki:
> "Okay. We'll try to do this quickly and with quality."
Mai:
> Bow to Yumeko and Shinki.
> "I'm going."
> Enter the portal.
Yuki:
> Show the same respect to them and follow Mai.
>Look at portal.
> Are we COMPLETELY SURE that there's no one else aside from the two of us?
> Do we feel imminent danger in this place?
> This is an alien world. You are very, very unsure. But you cannot see anyone. Neither can you sense anything you cannot see giving off magic.
> No. However; you do feel discomfort. This however may just be due to the environmental shift. Makai is an extreme environment that you have both acclimated to over the years. You have not been here long enough to know if your discomfort is due to this or something else.
> How many paths to we have in our surroundings?
> What's the source of our magic energy? Internal, environmental, artifacts and grimoires, Shinki, all of the above?
> Mai: Examine nearest building, to try to figure out what went down here. Quietly, of course. This foreign land is obviously dangerous since they can just open rifts into Makai...
> Yuki: "Hellooo! Anyone here?"
> Mai: dammit Yuki.
Yuki:
> "...? Mai, look..."
Mai:
> "What is it?"
> Look at the little girl.
> How she looks?
Yuki:
> "Do you think we need to approach?"
Mai:
> "She has her attention in me, so don't even try."
> Start flying to get closer, but slowly. We don't want to startle her.
> As we get close to the little girl, can we feel any kind of magical energy in her? Or another class?
(I will tend to have Mai try to be subtle and deceptive more, while Yuki is a very direct and straight-forward person. Neither is really more competent than the other, but the clash of attitudes makes for some frustrations or comedy, depending on the situation.)
> Yuki: "Ask her where we are while you're up there."
> Mai: "Yeah, sure." Good thing for these wings, I can pretend to be an angel instead of an alien...
>"So I can fly!" Demonstrate for her.
>*sigh* "We're from a different world. Do you know anyone who travels between worlds?"
>"So I can fly!" Demonstrate for her.
>*sigh* "We're from a different world. Do you know anyone who travels between worlds?"
> As always, don't be jerky to scare her.
Mai:
> "Let's just say I'm from another world. You don't have to fear me, since I only want to know more about this place... Would you kindly explain to me?"
Mai:
> Tilt our head.
> "Kyoto? Can you be more specific?"
> We know about the outside world?
Mai:
> "Why this place seems so... lifeless?
Yuki:
> Start tapping our feet in the ground, waiting for Mai.
Mai:
> "That explains it, then. What kind of things the people do in that temple you said?"
Yuki:
> Sigh annoyed at the realization of another question of Mai.
> "We don't have all the night~..."
Mai:
> "Shut up."
> Turn to see the responsible.
> If it's not possible to see anything from the current position of Mai or Yuki, have Yuki fly high enough until we see anything.
Mai:
> "Later. Thanks for the information."
> Fly out of sight to the roof of the building and hear a bit.
Mai.
> Start flying towards the temple.
Yuki:
> "Well... now at least we know where to go for more information."
> Look at Mai.
> "Mind if-... Hey! Don't leave me, idiot!"
> Follow her.
Mai:
> Stop and maintain calm expression.
> "No."
Yuki:
> Stop besides her.
> "Who are you to demand such thing to us?"
Mai:
> "... So?"
Yuki:
> "We only came to investigate. We want to know why some anomalies have been happening in our world; and it seems this world of yours is related to that."
>"Have you entered our world from this one, or do you know of who has?"
Yuki:
> "We'll try our best. It's not our goal to cause problems anyways."
Mai:
> "If you can help us, then the faster we can leave your world."
Yuki:
> "Now we understand ourselves."
> Approach before Ma-
Mai:
> Approach.
Yuki:
> "Goddammit."
> Follow her.
> Follow.
Yuki:
> "Can we know your name, by the way?"
Mai:
> "You can't ask for someone's name if you didn't say yours."
Yuki:
> SIgh.
> "Yuki."
Mai:
> "Me? Yuki? Oh, please no. Never. I'm Mai."
Yuki:
> "Don't make me hurt you, pal."
Mai:
> Ignore her and look at the projection.
> "You know about Gensokyo?"
>"Everyone knows about Gensokyo."
>"Not everyone. Cmon."
>"Name one person who doesn't know about Gensokyo?"
Mai:
> "A person who doesn't even know about magic. In other words, probably most of the people in this world. Now keep your mouth shut and move."
Yuki:
> "Ngh..."
Mai:
> "I'm just asking."
> Yuki: "We're not from there, if that's what you're worried about." Enter quickly.
> Mai: Land first, then enter more casually.
> Both: Even if she's not a magician by race, her clothes are full of runes and she was just making astral projections. She might be like that witch from the invasion...stay wary.
Yuki:
> Look around.
Yuki:
> Just sit down.
Mai:
> Nod and sit down with manners.
Yuki:
> "Sooo... This is your home?"
Yuki:
> "Huh... I expect your home being, like, a palace, right? I mean... if this is your world, then what one can expect?"
Mai:
> "That's a childlike thought."
Yuki:
> "But it's truth! Just look at where Lady Shinki lives!"
Yuki:
> "Oh, I thought you were saying this world was yours..."
Mai:
> "Shinki is our master. She's the ruler of the world where we came from."
Yuki:
> "It's nothing like this one, if you are wondering."
> Nod.
> "And yes. She created that world."
> "Where are you from, by the way? You look like a magician..."
Mai and Yuki:
> Fire/Ice.
> Look at each other with an annoyed look.
> Yuki: "An immortal fire mage? Sounds like a tough customer to me."
> Mai: "We could win." Don't need to kill someone to beat them, after all.
> Yuki: "Maybe. It depends on how good she is, though. Anyway, you mentioned before that the opening to our world might have been because of your psychic power experiments?"
//I editted so the respective colors are changed. My intention was Yuki and Mai saying they respective magic, but I changed it so it could look like they said the powers of the others :3
Mai:
> "We are good enough too."
Mai:
> "Agreed."
Yuki:
> "But what if it's something that might have serious repercussions in this world or in ours? A rift that can be used to travel to other worlds... And from what you said, it's not exactly a good idea if a gateway opens here and a resident of this world goes to ours..."
Yuki:
> "We live in Makai, also called Demon World. I guess that's accurate."
> "So... instead of calling forth a demon, you tried to reverse it so you are summoned in other worlds?"
Yuki:
> "We are magicians. We emigrated to Makai."
> Nod.
> "Although we aren't creations of Lady Shinki, we consider her like a mother."
Mai:
> "..."
> Look at Usami with an interested look.
> "Huh... It's indeed incredible how someone so young can have such amount of knowledge and power... It has been so long since I saw someone like you..."
Yuki:
> "Oh, you mean Alice..."
Mai:
> "Indeed."
Yuki:
> "And yes, some water would be nice."
Mai:
> Close our eyes quietly.
> "No thanks."
> Yuki: "We went to Makai because it's saturated with magic power. Shinki's definitely a God, she creates devils though."
> Mai: "I don't think it'll be so easy to enter; we have strong defenses."
> Yuki: "Unless someone accepts the contract. If the spell works the same way in reverse as it does regularly..."
> Mai: Whap Yuki. "Shut up." That's just asking for this Usamimi girl to intrude more.
Yuki:
> "Unlike here, we made our way to Makai through the entrances to it, in our worlds. We didn't used something unstable or anything like those rifts."
> Drink a bit of water.
Mai:
> "People that aren't well-prepared cannot stand so much time in Makai, mainly because of it's miasma."
Yuki:
> "That's why there only live powerful beings. Training in Makai can strengthen the magic of an individual because of it's rough environment."
Yuki:
> Laugh.
> "Yeh. It would be a great opportunity to see what kind of "tricks" you can do, heh."
Both:
> Check it out.
>> If they are our grimoires:
Yuki:
> "Huh... They are reacting to this."
Yuki:
> "Why did it failed?"
Mai:
> "Maybe you are missing something."
Yuki:
> "Well, we don't want you to do it if there's a way to advance in this investigation without it... but if that's not possible, then what else we can do?"
Mai:
> "Communicate this to Lady Shinki."
Yuki:
> "Oh, yeah. That can work too."
Yuki:
> "Uh-huh."
> Nod.
> "I think it's a great moment for that. Maybe even you can talk with her and obtain information for both sides."
Yuki:
> "We can talk for you. Just tell us what you might want to ask and we'll tell her."
Mai:
> "Mother won't accept that."
> Close our eyes quietly.
> "If you want to talk with her, then you must do it yourself. Lady Shinki must not be treated with such disrespect as talking for someone else."
Yuki:
> "Aren't you exaggerating a bit?"
Mai:
> "I'm not."
> Look at her.
Mai:
> "... I guess that can work too."
Yuki:
> "Okay, shall we do it now?"
Mai:
> Seem unamused at the commentary of our gorgeous wings.
Yuki:
> "Oookay."
> Pull out the bead that Lady Shinki gave us.
> "Ready?"
Yuki:
> "... Uhm... M-Mother... Didn't you said we had to channel some of our magic BEFORE being able to communicate with you...? ... Or there was something you forgot to mention...?"
Yuki:
> Blink a few times, before acknowledge that we did some advance!
> "O-Of course, Lady Shinki! It's a pleasure that I was able to make you happy!"
Mai:
> Resist the urges to cryo-freeze Yukitogether with some english beef, but let it go.
> "... Hello, mother."
Yuki:
> "N-No need to worry, Lady Shinki! I was completely aware of that! Mai was the one that was insecure and-"
Mai:
> Calmly stand up and approach to Yuki. Pick up the sphere and freeze Yuki in place.
> "... Please continue, Lady Shinki."
Mai:
> "I knew something was off. I was too confident... Darnit!"
> Focus to unfroze Yuki.
Yuki:
>> If Mai's attempt aren't effective, and if we can do something while frozen, try to cast around us some kind of flame big enough to melt the ice, but not too close to hurt us.
> Time left before the portal is closed?
Yuki:
> Be surprised at the sight of being isolated of our home.
Mai:
> "... She escaped."
Yuki:
> Look at Mai furiously, casting a fire attack at her.
> "What the hell was that, huh?! This is all your fault!"
Mai:
> "...?!"
> Dodge it quickly.
Yuki:
> Attack again.
> "Now your stupid pride lead us to this situation! We let an intruder to Makai!"
Mai:
> Dodge again.
> "Hmph. Are you going to rant over it? Focus on finding a way to get out of here."
Yuki:
> "WHY YOU...!"
> Cast the most powerful attack we have towards Mai.
Yuki:
> Catch our breath, trying to calm down.
> "W-What now, dammit...?"
Mai:
> Can we determine from where the sound of the alarm is?
> If there is any window, peek outside.
Mai:
> Can we determine how much magic we will need to use to freeze that thing?
>How confident are we in our punching ability?
> Extinguish fire, then search the place. If this Usami boldly used us to get in Makai, she definitely owes us some good stuff!
> If this whining thing does not shut up after putting fires out, freeze it as well.
Mai:
> Look at Yuki.
Yuki:
> Keep trying to calm down.
> "... Now what, idiot?"
Mai:
> "Oh, the idiot here it's you."
Yuki:
> Do we feel capable of flying?
> Reassess basic necessities.
Yuki:
> "Again... what now?"
Mai:
> "Hmm..."
> Go outside and fly REALLY high. Stop when we are in a considerable altitude.
> Then, look around.
> But before we go outside to observe surroundings I still recommend to search the room we are currently in. It would be good if we could find a map of this world or this sity at least. Or some kind of mana battery. Or notes about how this girl visited Gensokyo. Or something else that we can use.
Yuki:
> Try to pick up the ball, if that's even possible.
> Can we feel the energy coming from it?
> Do we have any way to store magic from objects to others? Like transfering them?
Mai:
> Frown a bit to try and look more carefully at those lights and determine what exactly they are.
>> How close are they?
>> Are those things making a similar noise like that alarm down there?
Yuki:
> Do we have enough space to store the ball itself?
> If it's not possible, try searching everywhere for... a bag or something that can let us carry the ball with us without problems.
Mai:
> "Darn..."
> Return.
> The ice in the alarm we freeze will melt soon, right? Or it will not melt, since it's made of magic?
Yuki:
> Nope! Search more! There must be a bag looking resistant enough.
> How much the orb weighs, by the way?
Mai:
> "The hell are you doing?"
Yuki:
> "I'm searching for something to hide this ball."
Mai:
> "We don't have much time. Hurry up."
Yuki:
> "Shut up! If you have a better idea to carry balls, then say it!"
> Keep searching.
//My deepest condolences, Raikaria.
Mai:
> ... Make a quick search for Yuki.
> "... That stupid girl."
> Frown.
> Can we determine, via the sounds they are making, how close those things are?
*-*-*
Yuki:
> "... Whaaat?!"
> Look around desperately.
Mai:
> Is there any rear entrance, or any kind of exit in the form of windows that lead to the back of this building?
> Is there any more rooms?
*-*-*
Yuki:
> Look at the ball.
> "... I wonder if..."
> Make the same motion we did to test it's weigh. Maybe it had to do something with it?
Yuki:
> "Okay, now what the hell is going on?!"
Mai:
> "... What are you playing? We need to go."
Yuki:
> "I think we got the- Woah!"
Mai:
> Pull Yuki from to arm and lead her outside.
Yuki:
> "Wait a moment, idiot!"
> Store the ball in the bag we have.
Yuki:
> "Err... What are those things?"
Mai:
> "Less chat and more running."
> Start to leave to other direction, running.
Yuki:
> "Tch..."
> Do we feel like we can run at good speed?
>> If so, do it and follow Mai.
> Independently what happens, follow Mai.
