((Okay, so about the previous game I was running, Rika Quest, well. Academics sort of prevented me from responding to it for a while, and at this point, I don't really feel like continuing it. However, if anyone who was playing Rika Quest wants me to continue, I'll try to run that game in parallel with this one.
Anyways, without further ado:))
IMMORTAL QUEST
In the realm of Gensokyo lives two individuals that long ago gained immortality by ingesting the Hourai Elixir. Kaguya and Mokou, as they are known, have possessed a deep hatred for each other for over a millennium. It seems like almost every day they quarrel with each other in some way. Sometimes these skirmishes consist of only a short flurry of insults, at other times they will escalate to harsh battles that result in them inflicting mortal injuries to each other.
Recently, however, by the urging of Keine Kamishirasawa, a friend of Mokou, and Eirin Yagokoro, a medical genius and close friend of Kaguya, a truce has been formed between the two. It has now been three days since the truce. Now the question is: How long will it last?

Beyond that is the door, in the corner of the room.

>If you recall correctly, cereal was introduced to Gensokyo about a year ago. However, nobody remembers exactly who was responsible for the introduction. Many claim that Yukari, the youkai that monitors the Gensokyo's boundary had a hand in it. Others say that the Kourindou, a local shop that deals in outside world merchandise, was responsible. Still more believe that it was some form of elaborate collaboration between the Moriya Shrine and the Kappa of Youkai Mountain as a way to increase faith in the shrine. Honestly, it could have been a combination of all of these for all you know. It doesn't help that an issue of the Bunbunmaru newspaper published around the time offers no clarification whatsoever.

>You turn around are now staring at your house, which now has a massive, gaping hole in the wall. The low table is completely obliterated, and in its place is a massive scorch mark. Fragments of wood and bamboo are are everywhere. The neighboring rooms appear to have been spared from the explosion.

There are also quite a few rocks scattered around, perfect for bashing her stupid lunarian face in. Of course, you always have your pyrokinesis. Nothing says revenge like roasting someone alive.

It couldn't possibly be Keine, you couldn't imagine her doing something like that to you, one of her closest friends.
>As for Kaguya's house, anyone capable of starting a fire could be the culprit, and there are more parties that dislike Kaguya than there are parties that dislike you.

>Anyone can conduct an experiment, given the right motivation. Anyone can also poison a dart if they have access to a form of poison. Though, judging by what you attacker said regarding the poison on the dart you were struck with, you'd assume that the culprit has a vast knowledge regarding poisons.

>"Thank you for your cooperation." says Eirin, "Now, I'm going to go into the other room and get a sample of Kaguya's blood. You can come if you want."

During your walk you keep an eye out for suspicious activity, however, you spot nothing of note. After a couple of minutes, the two of you reach a room filled with lots of strange equipment you've never seen before. You see Eirin in the center of the room, pacing back and forth with a troubled expression in front of a low table with some odd doohickey on top of it. Kaguya is standing in the far corner of the room.

In essence, you'll be stuck in a sort of 'vegetable state', unable to permanently die, but unable to revive as well. A fate worse than death."

I did not intend to make any more of it since then, so I currently lack some of the ingredients required to create it. An alternative solution would be for me to try to synthesize something to neutralize the substance. However, in order to do that, I'll need to analyze a pure sample of the substance that has not come into contact with essence of the Hourai Elixir."

Alice sits herself down on the remaining chair and sets the teacups on a nearby desk. Shanghai proceeds to pour the tea from the kettle into the cups, set the kettle down, and deliver Alice and Kaguya's cups. The doll then comes by with your cup and holds it out to you.

Resting on top of it is a large mansion painted in various shades of red, the mansion is surrounded by a tall brick wall, with a large iron gate situated inside of it. The two of you land by the gate, and you notice a woman with long, red hair, wearing an olive green dress, with a matching hat that has a bronze star on the front, standing by the gate with her eyes closed.

The sheer amount of books within the shelves is mind-boggling, it must've taken quite a long time to amass a collection this large. As the two of you follow Koakuma, you glance down the passages between the bookshelves, showing that they lead to even more bookshelves. You'd expect it to be quite easy to get lost in this labyrinth of books.

Sitting at the desk, reading a book, is a purple-haired woman adorned in whitish-lavender apparel. What appears to be a crescent moon is situated on her hat.

Now, if you'll let me continue, the only ningyo in Gensokyo just so happens to live in the lake outside the mansion. The only real challenge would be catching her. Ningyo are known to be quite agile, and they rarely leave the water voluntarily."

Alternatively, you could try looking for them in the caverns of The Underground, assuming you're human. Once you're in those areas, you'll need to know what each mineral looks like. All I know is that they can be identified by their dark green, lance-like leaves and their peculiar red berries. Perhaps an expert on plants could help you find one, but I don't know any. I'm familiar with panacea, and I know that it's quite hard to come by. It's an archaic substance craftable only by means of alchemy. However, shops that deal in arcane goods are known to rarely carry it from time to time." she pauses to cough, "As for the essences, sunlight essence is normally captured through an error-prone process that takes centuries to complete. One mistake and you have to start over. However, I know that The Underground has a power source that's quite similar to the sun, perhaps they could lend you some of it. Essence of concentrated souls, on the other hand, will require a spell of unimaginable magnitude and countless sacrifices to create. I do know that during the Extended Winter Incident several years ago, our head maid, Sakuya, encountered a ghost by the name of Yuyuko Saigyouji along with her servant, Youmu Konpaku. I'd advise seeking one of them out on the subject of concentrated souls. Since both of them are closely associated with the dead, they might be able to provide a better way to get the essence you require."

>You make your way over to the door and go through. You are now standing on a shaded balcony. To your right you see a small table, sitting at it is a blue-haired girl with large, bat-like wings that you recognize as the vampire from the Imperishable Night Incident. Standing next to her is Sakuya.
