Also, does anyone know of any dealers at AB who sell legit Touhou games? I want to try and avoid buying from dealers who obtained their merchandise through Paletweb or some other bootleg manufacturer.

They actually might not be, based on what Tim told me at Katsu. They wanted to be pretty badly, but they might have been shut out.

Reply #3 on that thread mentions the existence of bootleg Touhou games from China, which are apparently sold on sites such as Paletweb. I want to make sure that Hen Da Ne does not obtain their games from one of these sites and rather obtains the games from official distributors, so that I don't end up with a fake game and a lost $20.

Hen Da Ne is 100% legit and is at least as anti-bootleg as anyone here, if not more so. Tim and company make regular trips to Japan to stock their wares.

By the way, did anyone else notice that Hen Da Ne's Facebook page says they are bringing an original copy of Story of Eastern Wonderland to Anime Boston?

Welcome to everything-you-want-to-do-overlapscon. The retro RPG panel, however, is immediately after the toohoo panel. Even after 7 years of Touhou fandom, I'm probably more qualified to be a part of this one. :V

The fates collided just fortuitously enough to have my spring break coincide with Animu Boston, so I'm good to go on camerayoukai duty. My main targets for attentions this year will be Twitch Plays Pokemon Cosplayers, as I get the feeling those will be the current hot thing a la Morning Rescue. Also, I'm going to be carrying around a dozen Palomino Blackwing 602 pencils which I've been told are the bees knees for drawing with, so any aspiring artists that I run into, I'm willing to trade for a hastily done sketch of a 1980's japanese sports car. Good news is you can pretty much hack one out with a ruler and a protractor.

For the record, I've been at the con since 9:00 and so far have seen AT LEAST 3 of each of the most popular characters (posting from the con, btw)
Also, the Touhou corner in the game room is PACKED. I'm pretty sure we've introduced more than 30 people to Touhou through that alone :D

Purchased 13.5 and 14 while I was there, but oh god was I dead tired the entire time.
It's kind of hard to sleep when people are drinking in your room with random con-goers until 3:30 am :V
First time I've gone with this group, and oh man did they like to party (nearly 24, I don't drink).
