They're finally done!

My completely customized shots set. There are over 50 kinds of bullets here, so you'll have to use different ShotData files if you want to use them all at least once.

Version 1.31c: Fixed another silly mistake where the image was too small to look right ingame. >_>;

I'm aiming for a shotdata file that has both the code for the normal bullets as the negative bullets.
But adding 476 to every Y-coordinate in order to make the negative bullets is madness without artifical help.
I mean:

Inside the zip is...
-A word file that'll help you see quickly which bullet is which number.
-There's also 2 txt files with the complete code for all bullets written in them (Took me 7-8 hours... I think... Done in two days... *dies*)
-And the png files of the shots themselves ofcourse!

I originally made these for my own to-be danmakufu game. Because the story isn't related to Touhou, I wanted to use custom bullets in it. Most of these were drawn at work, because in the summerdays I can take it easy.
I think the total hours of work I put in this ranges around 28-33 hours. Thank god I have a proper knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and... Notepad ^^;

I'll be using my OCs for the game, 1,5 of the 4 stories are already written out, so the real thing that remains is to learn a bit more about Danmakufu programming. ( http://puremrz.deviantart.com/ (http://puremrz.deviantart.com/) I can draw, so doing the rest of the graphics is easy enough. :3 )

Edit XX: Updated the files with v1.31b (How many times a day do I have to update this?) (Also, this textbox is effing annoying, it keeps going up and down and I can't see what I'm typoing. Graar.

You mean the Mokou cards? (That's what I call them)
I wrote the kanji for Sun, Moon, Fire, Water, Wood, Metal/Gold and Earth on them. Those are part of an element system, and they're used for the days of the week in Japanese. And they should remind you of Patchy as well.


This is rad. I want to see these in action, someone script up something cool with this and throw it on Youtube.

At around the inner side of the edge of the moon. (The lightest part of the moon) So probably just in the center of the box as usual, it's kinda hard to figure it out. It's there, but it's just difficult to find ^^; (Danmakufu needs characters with bigger hitboxes, everytime I play normal Touhou I'm amazed by how easily I die :< )

I made a quick failure spellcard with the butterflies. Though still being unable to use the standard touhou bullets is for me a huge handicap. Like the bubbles. But yea, like you said: These are fon non-touhou themed spellcards I guess. So the scripters either have to form their own pair of shots or simply choose  :V

I'll post the video when it is done compressing/uploading.

Ah, but you can still put in the bullets that come standard with Danmakufu, like RED03. All those bullets are still usable even if you load a custom shot file.

Standard Danmakufu bullets are ugly as hell unless you use the shotreplace script which can be combined I believe.

Odd, maybe it has to do with the background you're using or something? For every shot I set delay_color= (128,128,128) so it shouldn't be red. *Investigates*

Oh, it's only for the animated bullets. A small whoopsie I can fix quickly.

Edit: While I was fixing that, I gave all the shots their own delay color. There goes another 45 minutes of my life to typing letters X_x

Ah, the delay colors are off now, gotta fix that. ...When I feel like it...
I bet I can abuse Notepad's replace function for that to get it over with quickly.

Can anyone think of a way/program that can quickly increase all X coordinates of the shots by a certain number? If that were possible it wouldn't be hard to glue the positive colored shots together with the negative ones.

But I'm talking about the shotdata text files.
There's lots of numbers there, and increasing each first and third number of a sentence by *insert number here* would take ages.
So I wondered if there was a program that can do that automatically.

It'd be best if you make a new folder in the folder where you keep danmakufu. I'd call it shots or something. Put all the files from the zip in there, except for the word document (it would be best to keep that in range)
Then put the line

With the word file (or txt if you don't have word) you can see which bullet has which number. Now instead of calling bullets RED01 or YELLOW03, call them only the number of the shot you want to use.
So

CreateShot01(GetX,GetY,2,GetAngleToPlayer,123,0); for example.

You can only load one sheet at a time, but it's not hard to mix and match the txt files to suit your needs. Just be sure to backup :3

I'm heavily working on the character graphics now. This weekend I somehow managed to finish the first one of the girls (I had some trouble with a stupid malware, and I also had to finish UFO Normal mode ofcourse :P)
There'll be 16 characters total (4 guys, 12 girls), so that'll take a while. But if I manage to clear my computer of the remains of Antivirus2010 (*shakes fist*) I should be able to complete the first stage within a month...

I'm using my OCs from DA for the game ( http://puremrz.deviantart.com/ ), so you can see what they'll look like.

Hm? Are you sure you're linking to the right shotdata file? It could be mixed up with another file, causing the problems. Make sure all the names are right and they're in the right folder.

I am suffering from the same problem as Demonbman. I try using the custom shot script, but all of the bullets are messed up. I directly used the download link and then tried a test attack script, but the graphics are completely jumbled.

I am suffering from the same problem as Demonbman. I try using the custom shot script, but all of the bullets are messed up. I directly used the download link and then tried a test attack script, but the graphics are completely jumbled.

Maybe something went wrong in the update I made? Hmm...  No, even with the update it still works for me. Hmmm!

I have the same problem, the bullets are off and I've double, triple, whatever checked the file names and paths. I dunno what's going on.

Ah, I see now. Somehow I mixed up the photobucket files from my first post with the real files on my computer. Photobucket scaled them down to 800 pixels wide, while it's actually over 900! *crushes scouter*
Hold on, I'll reupload them...

... Damn floor, kicking my jaw like that... Wait, no. This pain is AWESOME pain, caused by the AWESOMEness of those bullets you've made. I'm as speechless as the first time I ever beat an Extra Stage (PCB)... Probably even more. These are the most AWESOME bullets I've ever seen. Even better since Danmakufu doesn't screw them up like it does some others. I can DEFINITELY see these being used by everyone here within a month. I most definitely would have used them for Lunatic Yukari if it wasn't half finished... The SDM, though... Ohh, boy...

If these are just the bullets, then I SERIOUSLY can't wait until you finish your project. Incredibly well done. Oh, and did I say AWESOME?

ok, i put the zip file in the script file in Danmakufu, set it up, but i got nothing, id try to use one of the bullets, but nothing would fire....

GetCurrentScriptDirectory ~ "shots\CustomShots2Positive.txt" is the hint here.
In your danmakufu exe folder you'll have to make a folder called shots and dump all the bullets there. Otherwise it won't load a file, resulting in invisible harmless bullets.
You can change the link and put them somewhere too.
