I have no skills, and I must scream.
This is boredom at work plus my low creativity but need to vent it. If any of the images are messed up, blame Triangles - I sent them to her and she uploaded them. Thanks, Websense.
Enjoy! (I hope)
China's Days at the Office
Part I: China Works with Computers
This is China. China works with computers.
China has to clean up after a lot of peoples? silly mistakes with computers.
Sometimes they do stupid things that shouldn?t be done to a computer.
Sometimes people will try to do something that China has to fix for them.
Sometimes they ask questions that can easily be Googled, even if someone doesn?t know the right terms.
They keep interrupting China as she does important things at work.

To be continued in China's Days at the Office Part 2: Electric Boogaloo.

I've never seen a mouse and keyboard plug into the back of a computer monitor.
-
Its been a long time since I used one, but I think Macs usually do that.
-
I think Cadmas is referring to China's PC. He's right, the mouse goes into the back of the monitor.
So, who wants to redo the graphic in create.swf?
-
It's an iMac or something like that.
-
Apple always does it wrong.
-
Apple always does it wrong.
Wisdom for the ages.
I actually know a guy who does computer repairs, I ought to show him this -- he might sympathize. X_X
That said, I hope that perhaps working conditions get better for you Meiling, or at least a little smarter than what's depicted.

Until they stop giving people computers, China's days will never truly be better. They may be less worse, and the idiots may occur less frequently, but China's days will never improve.
However, the fact that they still are idiots mean China will always have a job.
So even when China does have to take care of a semi-legitimate problem, she always knows that it is undending.
For better or for worse.

CONTINUE'D
Whenever someone asks a legitimate question, China has to find an answer.
Usually people want the answer right when they ask, even if China doesn?t know.
When prompted thusly, China will quintuple her efforts and sacrifice everything else pending, letting nobody stand in her way.
Some questions and problems are rather delicate and involve important people, so China has to ask her boss to intervene and back her up. Usually she does.
Sometimes China makes a mistake and her boss helps her figure out how to prevent them in the future.

This is probably the closest we'll ever get to a Touhou Dilbert.
-
Yes, but it's so good.

China had a run-in with the DBA from Part 2 this morning.
(Daiyosei/DBA's text has been interpreted to her original intent from broken, repetetive, Godawful broken English-as-a-second-language-for-DBAs course. To this date, China has yet to encounter any native English speaking DBA. Just goes to show that if you get into DBA, you'll be assured a very secure career track just because people can understand you.)
-
Sadly, this happens a lot even when you're not an IT major.
And I've come across this:
Usually people want the answer right when they ask, even if China doesn?t know.
(Insert compatibility issue)
way too often for my tastes. And I don't even have a job yet!

China got to go to the New York office this morning on glamorous Madison Ave. China hasn't worked in the city since March, so this was a rare treat for her.
(The font I normally use doesn't render tildes, leave me alone)
Unfortunately, since China's laptop was out of the docking station she normally uses, she wasn't used to what an accidental key combo could produce.

Heh. I remember the first time I heard the "safe mode" question, too. I just offered to reboot his machine in safe mode and leave it there. Within fifteen minutes he figured out why we don't always run in safe mode.
