Puzzle & Dragons is an ios/android puzzle RPG.  It plays like a cross between Bejeweled and Pok?mon.  It's completely free to play, but has premium features through purchasable "magic stones," the game's premium currency (which can also be obtained occasionally as rewards in-game), which allow increased inventory, pulls from a rare egg machine, and more.  If you're patient enough the game gives you enough stones through special events and rewards that you shouldn't need to buy any.  (It's recommended you don't because you are almost guaranteed to be super frustrated at getting screwed by bad rolls ;_;)

You can control monsters from lowly slimes to mighty dragons to even gods like Kirin (above).  They all have different stats and skills, allowing you to customize your team for any number of purposes.

If you're interested, there's a really useful database of monsters and game info here: http://www.puzzledragonx.com/

A tip for new players: At the end of the tutorial the game will give you one free pull on the rare egg machine.  It's best to "scum" this pull and start over (by uninstalling and reinstalling) until you get something that's really rare, like a 5-star beastie or a god.  Great starters include any of the Chinese Gods, Ares, Bastet, Horus, Isis (<3), Idunn & Idunna, Hermes, Archangel Lucifer, Odin, Loki, Persephone, Parvati, and many others.  Feel free to ask!

Now that I've actually took a close look at that Ult Isis I realized she's extremely hot in that picture.

Holy shit I want one too.

EDIT: I think it has been mentioned but isn't that Horus on the left hand of Isis?

I just grabbed this (presumably on the EU server, if that's a thing) and I've been rerolling for a while. How's Venus? Debating whether to go again or stick with her.

Also, uh, how important are friend codes etc because I don't think I can connect with you guys. :V (770,241,247 if anyone wants to give it a shot)

Venus is a good roll as a sub but not quite as a starter.

Key rolls include: Isis (She's a bit weak, but she's great for starters), Horusu (Harder, but probably one of the best leaders in the game), Incarnation of etc. (China girls. Kirin is the queen but also very hard to use), Archangel Luci (the only stall leader of the game, thou he takes a while to get good because RKs are expensive), Freyr, Freyja, Ares, Hermes, I&I, Artemis, Bastet (You'll need materials before she's super good though), annnddd anubis (don't actually pick up anubis). Also there is an EU server but i have no idea how to tell if you're on it or not.

The easiest way is probably if you have trifruits up or not :v

Edit: yeah you're on EU we can't friend ya

Venus is wonderful but not so much as a leader in a burst-dominated game. I'd reroll and get an Egyptian God when tonight's godfest starts. Isis, horus, and Bastet are all good.

And huh, how does one play in another region anyway? Like I know some of y'all have JP accounts...

Hmm, in what situations would the Top Droidragon be? I mean, apart from the fact that Search would speed up a death by powered-up 4-dark mass attacks?

Eh, Amon's orbchanging is nice. Though overall, Odincat might be better.

the problem is it's cooldown holds it back way too much and there's no easy ways to skill it available (or any at all to the US) and even then it's kinda sucky tbh, honestly amon might as well not have an active

which is a universal problem with the demons really

Andromeda isn't really that good earlygame though. It's really hard activate her leader ability without orbchangers

Omfg. I spent forever luciing extreme dragon legend. And every damn wave was the one with high defense and health, making me hit 1s mostly yet not able to oneshot with luci, taking FOREVER.

Final dragon was lunar moondragon, easy mode... Boss at like 40% health and just ised gravity on me. So i heal up to 18k right away, and nuke the next turn...
Skyfall, skyfall,skyfall,... 24 combo (wtf), boss falls down to like 20% (with luci! Wtf) and i die from its <25% god hell breath that i was nowhere near bein at risk for.

Gee gee game, gee gee.

Andromeda is awesome, but just like suikama said it doesnt show its full power until after you get a blue orbchanger.

Shame about the friend codes too.

Hey, Batman is a great starter. You can't get him from the REM, but still.

Well, you do get a starter dragon. They're not going to solo Zeus Dios for you, but they're not bad. I still use Tyrannos, and I would use Plesios if I didn't have I&I. I would even use Brachy if I had any green subs that were usable.

Andromeda is awesome, but just like suikama said it doesnt show its full power until after you get a blue orbchanger.

Shame about the friend codes too.

I'd suggest using her as a sub then.
