By this I meant that the attack never leaves the first phase. It stays on the easiest form the whole time. Nothing impossible about it.

Sanae's first two spells are pretty easy and the third has a safespot. Koishi's nonspells are also kinda easy and the spells are mostly memorization.
Remember that when people play these games for score the whole idea is to pretty much timeout the nonspells for graze points, as well as some of the graze friendly spells, so... I'm not saying it's easy, but hardly impossible.

Anyway, I just had an awesome idea.

Manipulation of Visual System

A character with that would be able to control it?s visual functions, and the way the eye acquire visual perceptions and photoresponse.

Night vision: That would work by collecting the tiny quantities of light, including the lower section of the infrared light spectrum that are present but imperceptible to ordinary eyes, and amplifying it until the point of clear image observation in low-light conditions.

Thermal vision: Manipulation of the eyes to the point of being able to focus on the infrared light emitted by all of the objects in view. In other words, this type of vision would work exactly like a thermographic camera.

Microscopic vision: Would allow the owner to zoom in on objects that would naturally be too small to see, even on cellular or molecular level.

Telescopic vision: Would allow the owner to ?zoom in? on far away objects, even hundreds of miles away.

X-Ray vision: One would be able to selectively see through objects as though they are invisible or translucent, consequently, seeing objects or surfaces beyond or deep to the affected object or material by using terahertz waves. <- (That?s by far the best part, it would lead to the creation of the most perverted girl in gensokyo. Being able to see through the clothes of other girls, or even through the underwear? it?d make her even more perverted than Aya).

Turning obsession into danmaku. Actually, what would be really cool is if each boss in the game where obsessed with something unique (like wealth or beauty, etc.) and based their spells off of it. Maybe Parsee could make a reappearance as a midboss or something.

The entire spectrum theoretically, though some of them may just be seeing the sun through everything else, even your eyelids. I'd like to see someone with ability to manipulate knowledge.
The user could "know" how to do things like throwing knifes like Sakuya , Making chi like Meiling , or Making flowers grow like Yuuka from seeing it. She wouldnt be able to inherit the skills she saw though (its like how we could learn how to ride bikes or skating from youtube [knowledge] but in real life you would have to practice doing flip tricks to be good at it [skill] ).
She will be able to manipulate Other's Knowledge too , like making Yukari forgot how to make her gaps. She would still be able to make Gaps though , but will just forget how to do it .

One character I created is a Songbird Youkai, who can heal people with her singing abilities. So her powers are somewhat the opposite of Mystia's in that they help instead of harming. Though I can see her being more relevant in an RPG spinoff (official or by fans) than a danmaku games...she's not really a good fighter and if she were in a game she'd probably be a Stage 1 boss that happened to get attacked just because she wandered into Reimu or Marisa's path.

Well, something I'd like to see as well is a Boss that shoots no danmaku... at all. Just Lasers.

Think about Ichirin or Yuugi's non spell card attacks, but even her spell cards would only be Lasers as well, of diverse sizes. Sometimes as thick as sanae's "Nine Syllable Stabs" or as thin as Kogasa's "Karakasa Surprising Flash"

Something like Shou's "Complete Clarification" or her curvy ones would be applied as well. So yes, she'd have "Manipulation of Lasers"

Besides that, a character with some sort of telekinetic prowess would be fun to see. Like the rocks of SA being thrown at your character, on top of danmaku bullets.

Isn't that Tojiko's ability? Lighting and electromagnetism are closely related since lighting creates electromagnetic waves/radiation to some extent.
