Quick question about Touhou Soccer Moushuuden's travel mode

Is there a limit on the amount of subs you have have? If there is, are you screwed if you completely fill it up? Wondering before starting travel mode if I have to plan my recruitments or not.

It is limited, but you can ditch unwanted players. It's been too long since I last played it, so I can't exactly tell you what to press where, but I know it can be done.
