What exact effects the spell cards I get after battles? Is there anything I can do to get them quicker?

Well if you want all the spell cards really fast, just get the complete save. (http://"http://koumakan.jp/games/score123.dat")

If you actually want to grind them all out though, I've noticed some correlation between spellcards used and spellcards earned in VS matches. Those could just be a bunch of coincidences of course, but if you really want more copies of a card try using it more in matches. And if you want cards in bulk, play through Arcade/Story mode.
