> You are Alice, a magician specializing in handling dolls.
> A little butterfly told you of a troublemaker nearby. You are currently about to go put the beat down on this violent person when you get there. You don't think they're even from here either, giving you more of a reason to teach them a lesson.
> But... you wonder if you're prepared enough right now...
> Ha, of course you are. You just need to reassess a few things. Maybe you could even go without that!
>_

> Reassess things anyway!
> Like what kind of drug we used to hear butterflies talk. Ah, Eirin's pill...

>If we're at home, is there anything potentially useful we can take?
>Speaking of our home, what is it like?
>Aside from making and controlling dolls, what are we capable of?
> You are not.
> Those sound like the names of places. ...Maybe you could name your dolls after them when you and they get good enough for them to last long.
> You are capable of magic too. You're pretty confident in your fighting abilities.
> Are we still drugged?
> You don't know. Why would you be drugged?
> Any recent project of a doll?
> Marisa's annoyance levels?
> Alice's personal tsundere levels?
> You currently do not have any special doll projects going on.
> Your-what-sa? Your Visa?
> T-Tsundere implies you like someone. As if you'd admit to that!
> Inventory.
> Relationships.
> Seven-Colored... Butterflies talking... Ah, this is a quest about DRUGS.
> You have on your usual outfit. A pink and white dress with a blue apron. You wear a matching blue hair ribbon. Your hair and eyes are a beautiful gold.
> You aren't carrying anything of note.
> Shinki: Your loving Mother. Probably too loving. She's a bother most of the time. You do love her back though...
> Yumeko: Your big sister of sorts. Not really related, you believe. Mostly, she's usually trying to get your attention... you think. Why else would she try so hard near you? She's a maid.
> You don't care to concentrate on the others you know right now.
>Who's that "little butterfly"? Is that some specific person or literally a butterfly?
>What do we know about the troublemaker, and what was the violent thing they did?
>"Nearby" means... where?
> It was a butterfly, you think.
> You know that they're really causing a ruckus in this town, and are looking for a fight at this rate! You didn't get their name or appearance.
> It shouldn't be too long before you run into them.
> Seven-Colored... Butterflies talking... Ah, this is a quest about DRUGS.
> For the last time, you are sure you haven't taken any butterfly dream pill! What kind of stupid name would that be anyways!?

>Well, it's not like we can prepare further now, so let's start searching for the troublemaker.

> Now's not the time for that. You're about to get into a fight.
> You examine the person ahead.
> It's a human. A girl in red and white clothing. Her hair is purple. She's sitting on a flying turtle. There's orbs with a yin-yang pattern near her.
> "Where am I supposed to go now?" She questions, before approaching.

>Is there anything nearby to use as cover?
> You think you might be able to... Your dolls could probably. She's not that fast.
> You're too high in the sky. However, you are capable of having your dolls create a barrier that amplifies your shots as it passes through.
>_
-
> Create the barrier and keep the aimed shoots at her while our dolls keep with the random ones.

> You have two dolls get into position and create the barrier. You'll deal the random shots while the dolls handle aiming at the girl.
> The barrier amplifies your shots, causing them to be accompanied by more shots.

> Since we aren't drugged sleeping anymore...
> Any recent project of a doll?
> You've been wanting to create an autonomous doll. One like Shanghai and Hourai, however, without the need to be restored with energy to keep going on it's own.
> There's also Goliath, which you have yet to perfect...
> Marisa's annoyance levels?
> Alice's personal tsundere levels?
> Relationships.
> Marisa Kirisame: An ordinary magician, she says... She's prone to burglary and is not ashamed of it, being extremely open about it. She is also someone you like. A-A bit. She can be very annoying, but you can't hate her.
> Reimu Hakurei: The shrine maiden of the Hakurei Shrine. She's pretty special, good for her... Apparently, lots of strong youkai and people like to hang around her because of how she is, much to her annoyance. She is very skilled in danmaku, and despite her hardly changing style and Marisa's ever-adapting (read: borrowing from others) style, Marisa always loses against her. She's pretty poor, despite her work.
> Shanghai and Hourai: Your two favorite dolls. They're a bit like two sides of the same coin, or day and night. They compliment each other. Shanghai is your bright and cheerful doll, while Hourai is... a bit more foul. Deep down, they're both capable of what the other usually shows. Shanghai can hate, and Hourai can love...
> Goliath: An experimental doll made to be useful in many situations. Her size is larger than your house, and she wields weapons of similar size for combat. Currently, she is unfinished. She cannot speak, she doesn't show much emotion, and she is also prone to exploding...
> Those are some of your closer relationships...
> You're not Tsundere...
> Grab a towel from our room if it's here, and then go to the bathroom.
> Grab the towel from the bathroom if it's here.
> You get up and head to your bathroom, retrieving a towel.

The Butterfly Dream Pills you purchase from Eientei are worth it though. It's not like you need to donate to Reimu's shrine or buy something extravagant. It's a fair use of your excess money, which isn't very excess right now...

> Well, Goliath is at that hormonal age where... adults are stupid, and they don't get her. You just can't cooperate with her for too long, as she'll inevitably end up exploding from the inside, likely from having to deal with you.
> You believe it's because Goliath cannot function right with so much of the energy you put in her while in battle.
> No.
> You use gunpowder to arm your dolls. Sometimes it's actual gunpowder, sometimes it's a magical powder. One of your signature uses is Artful Sacrifice, as well as it's stronger variant, Return inanimate.

> Your special Grimoire; The Grimoire of Alice. This magical book produces the ultimate magic. With it's power years ago, you were able to stand up even against Reimu. However, due to your inexperience, you were defeated. The book gave you varying magic of varying colors. With it's power and beauty, you could easily defeat anyone in a danmaku battle, or even a life or death battle, with little to no effort. However, you keep the book closed. There won't ever be a need for it. You're sure. The book is also yours. You doubt anyone else could harness it's power.

Hahaha, I am the master of finding and executing weird shit.
I honestly don't intend to turn this into another Daipai game; I enjoy that game very much for what it is/has become, but I don't think there really needs to be more than one game of that type at a time, at least among the games I'm actively in. (It helps that Alice's vices are going to be much more limited, what with her being a magician of considerable intelligence instead of a fairy that thinks anything that comes to mind mite 2 cool no matter how ridiculous it is.) If something interesting comes to mind, then I'll consider how worth it it is to pursue, but I can't think of anything "weird" right now that might be worth pursuing other than voluptuization (which we already appear to have a clear path to) and control magic experimentation (which was always going to happen anyway given the character). I would rather focus on more serious stuff in this game.
Control magic experimentation might lead to a bit more megalomania than what Daipai would do, though, since Alice is far more self-serving and far less terrified of the various powers that be.

I don't mind doing this later, but this might interfere with the results of the experiment. Remember that, as far as Marisa is concerned, we haven't tried this before; if she feels some sort of funny magic sensation trying to make her yawn, that could disrupt things. This is a good idea for later, though, once we've removed the strings.

The implication earlier was that issuing tasks while strings are attached cost us next-to-nothing in regards to personal resources. (If the strings were no longer attached, then I wouldn't be doing this.) I suppose it is possible I misinterpreted what was said earlier, though.

//Maybe we should cut back with the tasks? Making someone do something when they just agreed to do that or will probably do that anyway sounds pretty wasteful energy-wise...
>Consider tasking some of our dolls to search the forest for these Glamor Mushrooms. Is it possible, what is the distance they can cover, how much magic that would require of us, is there any danger of, say, dolls getting intercepted by fairies, etc.?
> You consider having your dolls hunt for these mushrooms. At this range, you could probably task them with doing so from your house. It shouldn't be hard to do so from Marisa's house though. It'd take less magic than a battle, but they might run out during their hunts, unless you have them return after a while. Interception from fairies could be expected anywhere, but your dolls have the advantage of numbers. You could probably have a hunting squad and a defending one along with it.

> Clarification request: Does making Marisa do things through strings cost us any of our magical resources? If so, how much?
> "Yes, since you have acquired some more, I think it is safe to see if eating a second one causes further changes."
> When you send magic into your dolls, you're giving them some to perform tasks until it's depleted. When using strings, the strings have the magic from you, giving you control of the doll directly, and still being able to send some into the doll to task it as well. Having strings attached for a while isn't recommended unless you're controlling them. For having them act on their own, sending magic in for tasks would be better.
> Yes, it costs your resources. Both do. Direct through strings costs less than tasks, as it's actively being used, rather than dumping some for a period.

> You usually take your time making dolls. You can create in a few moments on the fly for a single task though. Such has been done with ones just used for explosions. They don't last very long, obviously.
> You wonder if you could make a doll that explodes twice... or maybe even thrice...

> You wonder...
> You'd need a durable doll. Then it'd need to be able to have separate areas of gunpowder to explode with. And they shouldn't cause the others to explode, so that you could explode at a different time, instead of all at once...

> Goliath and Co: One of your unique dolls, Goliath, needs improvement. It's currently unfinished, and she cannot function well in battle for long periods of time. You've considered trying to get other dolls to her level and see how they'll work, in order to see what it'll take for Goliath to work correctly.
> The Puppetmaster (Finished!): You want to know if it's possible to control someone with your doll manipulation... Now that you know, what will be done with this...?
> Unassigned: You haven't actively decided to list other objectives you want to pursue. Please list some you would like to, and they will be recorded~

It might be mildly entertaining to make Suika a temporary doll and have her do something for Reimu's amusement, but Reimu's permission would obviously be needed first.
-
//Are we so willing to show everyone we can do what we did to Marisa, though?
-
That's debatable, though I would not be surprised if Marisa told Reimu at some point regardless of what we do. I think there is benefits in how restrictive it is; we can't exactly start anything without giving ourselves away immediately, and our resources are small enough (even at full capacity) that we wouldn't get very far anyway. With those in mind, I don't mind too much letting Reimu in on it in a controlled, experimental setting, as long as it is accompanied by promises to behave and a reminder that she'll just smash our face in again if we go rogue.
-
//That's a valid point. The least thing I want is Reimu interrogate us after being told by Marisa about that. If we
double triple alpha omega promise we aren't going to subjugate everyone cause any ruckus with them, and we can convince her, then I'm okay with enslave play with Suika in an innocent, non-dangerous way.
-
> "I drug myself. What did you expected?"
> Pause.

> "... She really sleeps everywhere..."
> "Every day is already something for me with Yukari and others trying to get friendly with me... I want nights to myself."
> Shanghai nods lightly in agreement.
