One kid, whom I had absolutely no idea was -I'm a ninth grader, but I've got a lot of 8th grader friends. They were pretty chill last year- but his signs were a little joke on that whole Staples or whatever ''That was easy.'' thing. Upon seeing it, I grabbed my little chitlin buddy Tarica's sharpie, took off the lid, and scribbled ''mode'' right after the word ''easy''. Tarica's into Touhou, too. Not as much as I am, though. Bailey update! This week she's Minoriko. It's so cute. Last week she was Alice and kept calling our mom ''Mama Shinki''.

I run the entire soundtracks of games through my head to pass time at work. Well ... just the stage and boss themes, anyway.
I have determined that, for Perfect Cherry Blossom, it'd be 3 minutes and 45 seconds per song for all eight stages (stage 1-6, then Extra and Phantasm) to fill up an hour.
I also did Imperishable Night, and added the themes for the other playable characters. And Kaguya/Eirin's Last Spell theme. And the title screen. 24 songs, two and a half minutes each, that hour is dead.
Oh yeah -- I saw ATI and thought "atai."

The tryouts for ninth graders wanting to get into Fremont's special choir were last night. The entire time I was waiting, I was singing Romantic Fall over and over again. I sang it so much, Kamber, Katie, and Winter started to sing it. They don't even know what Touhou is. I was third to go in, and FHS's choir teacher had me sight read. I can't read music, so I sang the melodies of the songs from MoF instead. After that, he had me sing back notes. Every first note was in a Touhou song at least once. He said I had a very good ear for music. I hope I made it! When all of that was over, we drew on the white board. Katy and Kamber drew robots and stuff, but I drew an Alice yukkuri and Uboa. They didn't know what either were but loved 'em both.

Yea...yugioh are suffering from imbalance, but magic pretty much just who has better card. Not that it matter when I make my own rule XD
K off topic a bit.
Magic has sorta gone downhill after Judgment but it still is WAY better than Yugi... (Latest magic editions have been making a valid effort on fixing it up but I've gone distant. Lack of money and time and opponents)

Interesting, can't see how it will work well with touhou though.
LoTR TCG game has all players split in two decks. The objective for each player is reaching the end of the journey (Site 9, mount doom...). The player uses a "Free peoples deck" to do that and the mechanics of it are based in a small party of powerful characters that persist and struggle throughout this journey. But while it is your opponent's turn you use your "Shadow deck" to litter your opponents field of play with masses of expendable minions. It's not very different from an actual touhou game. Where you control your character and arm it with power items, using spellcards as bombs while you journey through levels 1 through 6 facing hordes of fairies/rabbits/spirits, with the occasional level boss (Shadow minions is anything from a moria goblin to the Balrog and Sauron himself)

It's for an assignment in English. We're doing this layered curriculum and one of the options were to fill in your own. I got the approval, and here I go.

Played some Halo 3 (after some convincing from a friend), and in my first time using a Spartan Laser in what must have been months I managed three kills in a row.
Afterwards, I commented that 'Laser is not difficult'.
Also when (somehow) and argument arose between two of my friends about what could stop a lightsaber, I noted 'the things that a lightsaber cannot cut are next to none, right?'.
...I don't even know why I say it, since they don't get the joke. The one time I tried to introduce them to Touhou managed to start a running gag that I like little girls. >_>

I'm using a Saitek P2600 and definitely recommend it as it is overall a great pad (surprisingly). If you want to spend some more money although they'll taint you and your soul and are weird, 360 wired pads, being console stuff as they are, have even greater quality. But for MICRO dodging I dunno, I tend to find the keyboard to be more precise.

The one I'm using just now is fine, it's just been smashed about too often because of my frustrations on recent Hard 1ccs to the extent it's become unresponsive to tiny d-pad presses (i.e. "GODDAMMIT SCARLET MEISTER!!!" *throws joypad*). They're only $7 or something.

I can actually commiserate. I occasionally invoke Tewi when playing Gaia Online's blackjack game. The most notable time had me even screenshotting it and saving as 'WHATfreshHELLisTHIStewi' . . . to elucidate, I busted, but it was WHAT I busted with that was so absurd -- Ace, 4, Ace, Ace, 7, Jack. IN THAT ORDER. I was at 14 when I ended up getting dealt a Jack (which happened quite often -- I was on the 2nd dealer, Jinx, who could choose to re-draw her cards if her 'Cheat' bar was full -- yes, the dealers cheat in that game).

At my work, we have a pen-board on the wall where we write how many applications we've processed each hour. The target is 10 per hour, although 12 is expected.

There was a similar thing at Science World The Telus World of Science where two people where had cap(like thing)s that measure you're brain waves(might be the same). After a few rounds on that, we noticed that one side always won. So we did a few experiments where no one wore the caps, and only one person wore the cap. Turns out the whole thing was rigged or faulty because the one side won everytime.

Sewing is good.. if you want to fix her hair 'ornaments' for a lack of better word to describe them.... it'll depend on whether u are using a wig or ur real hair.. if ur using ur real hair the most i can recommend is to use well.. use a red or black rubber band on it... the alternative is to use velcro to actually adjust the size of the hole to make it harder to fall off..
if ur using a wig however, to heck with it and use scotch tape... if not u can sew it on ur wig...

If you're playing Dizzy, then it shouldn't screw up your reflexes that badly. Some attacks can actually be "grazed". ^_^

hmm... u look quite nice in it.. and the costume look great too.. the ribbon has to be placed a little bit lower and bigger.. and no, sewing the ornament to the hair won't hurt it if you tie your hair up before hand with ribbons and then sew THROUGH the ribbon.

Here, that's not possible, since the servers are set up in a way that everything you put in the computer will only appear if you're the one logged in (There's a single server connected to 200 or more computers), so most likely he was the one to put it there.
Oh, and to keep on topic, on the Java test I had today, Every single function was named after a spellcard (Obviously not the full name, but only an acronym). In fact, it was useful. I'll do that more.

It's all of them, except for SWR, in sequential order from left to right. All the PC-98 games are under the first icon, because clicking it activates the Anex86 emulator. The one after EoSD is the retextured version. The icons themselves are just screencaps of the titlescreens, cropped and pasted to a transparent .png image.
God I need to get out of the house more often.

I have this tendency where my mind starts to go off into wierd areas when I'm bored, and this sometimes leads to me taking Interest A and Interest B and mixing them together for the sake of my own amusement.
In this case I arrived at school today (my last day, so very different schedule) about an hour early, being the only one in my homeroom aside from the teacher. After some time passed, I started humming to myself. I think I started humming Remilia's theme...then switched over to Double-Action Sword Form. Cue the Touhou\Kamen Rider thought process as I started trying to imagine what Rider various Touhou characters would be.
I can only imagine how it would have spiraled if other students didn't start coming in. (Hint: Probably something like Sakuya as Zeronos, Youmu as Blade and Reisen as Garren playing Left 4 Dead while discussing various commonplace tropes. The inner workings of my mind terrify me.
Although imagining Sakuya saying "Let me say this to start: I am fairly strong!" makes me laugh.

I think I know that I am definitely addicted now. I actually played selections from Touhou pieces as part of test repertoire to audition for a new clarinet, which ultimately is to be purchased so I can play Touhou pieces better, and (relatively) price be damned for the blasted horn to get.

I'm going to a con with one of my friends. Said friend has no idea what Touhou is, but loves ioSYS. I tried to tell her that the flashes were based on Touhou many times, but she's never heard me correctly. :/
She knows that there's an insanely difficult game called Touhou, where I put some of the songs on my phone as ringtones. I hope she knows by now that I make Touhou cosplays, and not ioSYS cosplays.

There's a series called 'The Lost Room'. It basically revolves around a (titular) motel room where something unspeakable happened and several objects inside gained bizarre and unnatural powers -- things ranging from the room key to a bus ticket.
Two objects in particular were being talked about -- one wholly useless, one useful, but together the two gained a new ability. The first was a wristwatch that you could hard-boil an egg on (place the egg on the top, and BAM hardboiled). The second was a knife (which it's not said what it does alone).
Before the one explaining the combination of powers finished telling WHAT the watch and knife do together, I guessed "time stop." Turns out it's telepathy, but you get my little anecdote by now, don't you?

Ah i guess your right that first pose is very familiar and typical of a schemer or something of that nature. but when you do thhat pose (or any pose in particular) and you notice it THEN i think we can say that we're addicted to that pose or the character that does it haha. I'll go with that then.
as for the EoSD pose......huh I think it was just ZUN's drawing and depiction that distorted the pose there haha. I dont' think you have to break your hand to get that look.

I play 'Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis'. It takes place at an alchemy school, and as alchemists need materials, there is in fact a Student Store. There not only giving the tutorial but selling the 'finer' ingredients of the game (stuff like cloth, paper, and other whatnots, whereas the moustachioed baldie sells ores, metals, and liquids) . . .
Is the female shopkeeper whose name I can never remember. It should be noted that . . .
She has short, black hair.

She also makes several mentions of money (asking you to come back with more money when you leave the shop, calling you penniless rascals with a smile on her face during the tutorial when your party member says you didn't bring any money, etc.).

Either way, I never really got much use out of High Pixie. Now, Lilim on the other hand . . . *has 30+ Magic, all 4 attribute spells, main magical attacker* . . . Yeah. This makes me wonder if the Master Spark SFX could be used to replace the sound Shoop!Marx makes. You know, the move where Marx blinks red for a moment then Sparks over 50% of the screen in your direction (and Mirror is not immune to it). Which in turn reminds me of Master Spark whenever he does it.
And you know you're truly addicted to Touhou when rather than wonder how you can make Nova Nucleus more Touhouesque, you wonder if it can be scripted in danmakufu and still be fair (perhaps make an alternate escape for that one that has no opening in it?).

Prolly can't; SFX works differently in SNES games than in Touhou games.
Suguri has a character named Nanako. Which makes me think "So~Nanako~"

When I was playing through Rockman.EXE 4.5 today using Napalmman, I noticed he used "da ze" when speaking. I immediately thought of Marisa.
You know when you're addicted when, after reading this, instead of just seeing Marisa in Rockman.EXE/MMBN, you start thinking about her moveset, and then thinking about how very Spark-ish Forte's Darkness Overload is (even if its actual sprite is an oval that's made to LOOK like it's blowing past the edge of the screen) . . . and then imagining the Master Spark sound effect being chained to it, either in-game or in the movie (in which it looks very Spark-ish when it gets fired off).
And then wondering what Marisa's reaction to A) MMBNverse or B) Scuttlest virus family. Those who've played MMBN or MMBN3 will know why I wonder about the latter.
Yes, my mind likes to jump all across the board like this all the time. I only choose to write about it in such detail sporadically. (That said, Touhou/MMBN crossover could go either very, very gawdawfully or very, very spectacularly, depending on premise and how it's written.)

I have a feeling I should know what you're talking about, but it's been years since I played MMBN 3, and I don't feel like completing the god damn crane puzzle thing at the very end.
I do know that Marisa's chip folder would most likely comprise of powerful chips, and she uses them without care for strategy or skill.
I'll give you one hint: Why was the virus combination for the 2nd part of the Scuttlest Family so utterly aggrivating if you weren't fast enough? I mean, getting caught is the small part . . .
As for Marisa's folder, I can guarantee you it'd probably have Cannon chips, TankCan chips if it's post-BN5, and Cannonball most definitely. And that her NaviChip would HURT.
Reimu's, on the other hand, would be homing. Whether she's Target-type or not (or pre-BN4), it'll home. Definitely.
EDIT: This is starting to get me to seriously consider drafting folders for Touhou characters. Whether or not they'll be MMBN3 or MMBN5 (the two games I liked best) will depend on whether or not I can find a ROM to replace my missing Colonel cartridge. As it stands, White Version is hanging around somewhere in my house and I'm wondering if Cirno would be nearly as annoying as Bubbleman to fight in MMBN.

Well, then, did you ever fight the white or black Scuttlest virus (the former of which being the actual Scuttlest)?
If so, you might already guess; if not: They attack with a linear beam. A very PAINFUL linear beam that fails to stop even after going off-screen.
Eirin's folder would be full of healing chips, I guess. Her Navi chip would healing + damage a la Roll.
This and a random memory of the Twins Virus just gave me a terrible, terrible idea for NetNavi!Kaguya-and-Mokou. Which would probably be an Ironic Hell for the latter. Anathe, you'd probably get it seeing as you're past the TV station, where they most prominently appear (in an off-to-the-side computer, but still).

I used to loosely share your sentiment. Recent gameplay developments, however, have cemented it (e.g., SM64DS and SSBB). Mario may be famous, but Luigi plays better.
In any case . . . I'm still wondering about Touhou + MMBN . . . I may just make a topic for it, but what about? Touhou-related folders? Wonderings about what chars would fight (or play) like as Navis? Both? Or something else entirely? *sigh* More questions than answers, again.

I was playing Ace Combat 5...again and was in the middle of the "Save the aircraft carrier" mission. Next thing I knew, I was humming Necrofantasia while shooting down enemy fighters. I didn't really mind since I liked it but it reminded be once again that I have gone over the deep end and am beyond salvation. I spent the final mission of the game humming Reach for the Moon ~ Eternal Smoke.

I can relate to the theme song replacement, seeing how Galaxy News Radio in Fallout 3 is a steady rotation of the same six oldies tunes played over and over. Solution: turn off radio option, open my Touhou music directory in Rhythmbox, set to Shuffle. Once fought Mirelurks to "UN Owen Was Her", which was pretty sweet.

I went to a carnival tonight, taking my iPod along for the ride.
I ended up getting a Blue Vanilla shave ice (and played 'Beloved Tomboyish Girl' on as I ate).
I went on the bumper cars after a very Kaguya-VS-Mokou-esque challenge . . . and considered putting on IOSYS's 'Sunshine, Catshine', but instead chose to channel faith and put on 'Give Praise Unto Me, and Celebrate My Miracles'. I slaughtered my rival, and it rained off and on for the rest of the night.
I also made several comments on a particular ride that I felt like a severe nineball for even going on. (EDIT: These comments were about myself, shouted at the top of my lungs as we spun around at high speed -- "I FEEL LIKE SUCH A NINEBALL! ICICLE FALL, EASY MODO~")
Of course, the high point of the night was in fact on the bumper cars . . . because, as the divine proof that I am addicted . . .
I FREAKING GRAZED. I grazed while I was on the bumper cars. I am now extremely happy, and this high will carry on throughout the night.

The funny thing is, I don't particularly care for Reimu either. I don't dislike her either but oh god, I must really be far down the road..

I had a dream last night that I was sitting on the front steps of Hakurei Shrine, and it was a beautiful day. Reimu was sweeping leaves some distance from me and I had the feeling she didn't realize I was there. Inexplicably, the song "Carry On" by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young was playing. I've now spent a better part of the day trying to figure out what the lyrics of that song have to say about Gensokyo.

Oh jeez, I'm so far behind. All I've got is Disgaea DS, with a female Hero wielding Gungnir as Remilia and a female Star Mage occasionally wielding Laevatinn as Flandre. She a Star Mage because I believe Mega Star represents just how Flan destroys things.
Also, after work today, my hair had that odd kind of curl to it, and the first thought that came to mind was that my hair looked like Remilia's, only not blue, and in the way of my eyes. Which also seems kind of odd because I'm a guy...
On another note, I didn't even properly reply with this on my last post. I AM far behind! >.<

The ENTIRE WALK I am horribly tempted to swing my umbrella around, and around, which was a colossally bad idea since it was pouring. The walk back, however, started with dripping which petered out, so I started swinging my umbrella around while humming Kogasa's theme.

ah...today i transformed my very little Kourin 1.0 (a little doll who i made before the 2.0 Rinnosuke who i have) into a Youki 1.0,with pieces of diverse old dresses.even have a eye patch,the two swords...have very long sleeves and a soft myon.

Today, I passed a girl on the street wearing a shirt that read "TAKE IT EASY" and I thought about how I often I see/hear this phrase, which used to make me think of the Eagles song and now makes me think of our bean paste-filled buddies.
Also, I was at the beach the other day with some friends, wading in the sea on a beautiful day and inexplicably, SA's Stage 5 theme came to mind. Just seemed a fitting soundtrack to a pretty day.

I got my new hard drive set up on Saturday (as my old one failed in what I assume a higher power telling me my summer was too perfect). My process of setting up was something like this.
1. Get Firefox
2. Get Antivirus Programs of choice.
3. Get IM Client
4. Start hunting for Touhou related images for my Desktop Backround.
...I keep telling myself "At least it wasn't the first thing I did!" in a deluded attempt to convince myself I'm not completely obsessed yet. It's a faltering delusion, I know, but.....

I swear, my workplace is a living piece of proof that I'm addicted to Touhou.
Exhibit A - The stairway to the fridge/freezer/prep room/washrooms is not very well lit, and seems to get rather windy sometimes. The Dark Blowhole was the first song to come to mind, and SA's first stage was usually what I felt like I was in every time I went down.
Exhibit B - A co-worker was cutting up cucumbers. "Kappa" is the only word that sums up what happened next.
Exhibit C - Remember the Dark Blowhole stairway? It's pretty hot downstairs and upstairs where I work, so go figure, I now believe the water heater is nuclear powered, thanks to said stairway.

Speaking of Kaguya, earlier today I was A. looking up Japanese folktales at the library because I wanted to get my hands on a book of the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter (or at least a book containing it), and in the process, B. went to find a book of Japanese tales in the children's section solely because it said it was by Lafcadio Hearn (http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Maribel_Han#Fun_Facts).

In fact, I actually said "graze" rather quietly everytime I came close to one of the cooks while going down the line at work. Not loud enough so someone else could hear it, and a little later, I actually made the little tick noise when you graze.

Anyways, I was listening to a vocal version of 3rd Eye on my DSi, (how naughty of me...) with the ExciteBike skin thing on. After looking at the colours, it seemed like Koishi and Satori were bike-racing each other to the end of the song. Out of nowhere, a hidden rider passed them both! It was so Aya.

This is what I strive for.
I can name nearly every single character in the series just by looking at their pictures, and I always use full names (e.g. Chiyuri Kitashirakawa, Keine Kamishirasawa, Shikieiki Yamaxanadu). If I were to list them off the top of my head with no references whatsoever, I'll probably be able to get 85% of all the characters.

Fraxy happens to be one of my favourite games, mainly because you can make your own SHMUP bosses with it. Go figure, I made an outdated Koishi a long time ago, along with a more recently made danmaku-spewing machine that is apparently what I would be if I was capable of extra boss-power danmaku spewing.
Also, at my workplace, I just recently discovered three jazzy artworks on the same wall. One was playing a saxophone, one a piano, and one a cello. Now who can guess what those three players looked like to me, and what those instruments looked like to me?

i got tired of sifting through fav characters and checking for individual updates, so i've been going through all of touhou. almost 2/3rds of the way through.

I've done this. Originally it was to copy it to my laptop, but on the last day of school, nothing was going on, so I got to play Touhou for 3 periods that day. I also got some friends to play. It was fun.

Played PCB Lunatic Stage 6 last night for the first time since I 1cc'd the game. Actually game over'd (11 lives or something), losing 4 lives to res. butterfly. Shrugged it off as being rusty, played something else.
Felt like crap for an hour. Realised what it was.
Went back to PCB and did the stage again with 2 deaths, capturing Res. Butterfly.
Felt great.
Quite worrying.

That would make sense to happen, but I'd sooner wish for Mokou or Koishi than Yuugi.
Actually, I don't know what brought this to mind, but as I was trying to unclog a drain at my workplace, the ripples of the water represented a certain spellcard to me. My thoughts on it were, "Oh, okay, so ZUN got the actual pattern from water ripples in a sink, didn't he?", considering it's kinda hard to make the same effect without four even walls raised a good few centimeters above the water level.

That looks way too much like Byakuren's one spell card to be coincidental. I wonder if either ZUN saw this and used it for one of Byakuren's spellcards, or (more likely) they both take the curvy lasers from the side thing from another source entirely.

I doubt that. It is not a very hard pattern to think of, and considering how many ZUN already used, it was inevitable. For example, Shou's first card, Radiant Treasure (Gun), is extremely similar to the third card of my Sariel script. However, the chance that ZUN has "stolen" from me is practically below Zero. :V It is just a pattern that anyone who spends enough time with developing bullet patterns will come up with sooner or later.
Then, of course, you have this nice little thing called cryptomnesia, where you subconsciously use something you've seen somewhere else without yourself remembering that you did, causing you to assume that it was your idea all along.

Muramasa for the Wii gave me a nice big gift of "Can you call THIS a coincidence?". The start of the game, you get a blade called "Yakumo", and the third act tells you to go to Mt. Ibuki to save a princess, I believe. I'm still waiting on something for Hakurei and Moriya.
Plus, the gameplay and graphics were good.

Edit: Alright, I just looked through my closet and found a hat that I can use if I need to make Suwako's hat. It's a bit bent up, but I'm sure I can fix it. All I need to do is get the brim to bend downwards, take this piece of fabric off the side, and add googly eyes.

That's Yu-gi-oh in a nutshell. Main villain gets awesome hand, duel starts even, main character starts losing, main character draws awesome card and wins. I still like it though. The funny thing is that even with all of Godwin's overpowered cards- HE STILL LOST. I mean, did getting all 5 dragon birthmarks even help at all? There was no sign of him getting help from the crimson dragon at all. Y_Y

I tried to turn off my frame skip rate with UFO and SA and it LOOKS SO CLEAR. The awful thing was, this 7 year old 512mb ram machine won't play the damn game at 60 FPS unless the frame skip rate is 1/2 or 1/3. God damn it.

it has to do with a heart being a sensor that detects muscle movement......which results in a wire/heart right above your eyebrow of choice, unfortuantely (i didn't know where else would work, i can only feel muscle movement during blinking right there, save for around the far corner of the eye). And the third eye's blinking is controlled by very expensive "artificial muscles" (they exist), a material that contracts when current is run through it. No idea on how to have it look around with your eye without putting sensors in painfull places yet.

A package of some form of candy called "Riesen" was read "Reisen" for me, I dodged leaves and rocks while biking to piano like it was danmaku, I play Touhou music the most on the piano, and if I can actually see the Neko Miko Reimu flash going by in my head almost perfectly, while listening to Maiden's Cappricio or Dream Battle, (the instrumentals) then I'm bloody well addicted.
Also, eating spicy food when it tastes good at the price of fiery mouth = masochist = Tenshi.

i saw Patchouli in some sort of candle shop(it was a while ago, not really sure where i saw it) and i laughed so hard.
then when i got home i checked the wiki and i found out it's an actual scent. :|

I learned about the actual scent after discovering the character too, though. We'd always had patchouli-scented stuff in my house, but I'd never bothered to read the names of them. Looking back on it, that's probably why patchouli is one of my favorite smells now that I'm not at home... Vanilla is still #1 for me, though.

I put a yukari in my notebook.
You know how composition notebook covers are made of multiple layers? I split the layers, cut a gap shape in the cover so you could see through, drew yukari, and stuck her in there. It looks like yukari altered the border of art quality and then opened a gap in my notebook cover. :P

Apparently, today is International Blasphemy Day. At college, in the middle of the campus, there was a small station with a large wall panel where people could anonymously write blasphemous things.

Happened to me today. It was quite a 'lol what' moment when I found out that it is used in mathematics.

All it would take is a leadership Marching Band Touhou fan to organize the whole thing. The members will be none the wiser to what they are doing. Of course, that takes out the whole Touhou Addiction thing for all but the guy who put it together.
