What's this?BRICK[bricksmash]SMASH is a flash game, developed by Alen "Draknek" Hazeldan. It is a variation of Breakout.
But as you can see in the picture up there, it has it's own special...variations...to bring to the ballgame, as described in the next paragraph;
Like any other Breakout clone,
BRICK[bricksmash]SMASH has you breaking blocks by bouncing a ball on a paddle, which can be controlled by either the mouse or arrow keys. What is different about this game, though, is that when you hit a brick, a
second game of Breakout plays within the block, which you
also control with the mouse/arrows. The entryway of the ball-within-block depends on where the original (Referred to as 'white ball' for clarification) ball hits the block from, so you can hit it from the top and have the ball-within-block come from (obv) the top. When all bricks within the block are destroyed, the entire block is destroyed and a ball of the block's color comes into play. If you hit multiple balls at a single block and you destroy all the bricks-within-the-block, the amount of balls from that block come into play.
The scoring mechanic is to see how many balls you can have in the original game when all blocks are destroyed.This is
surprisingly overlooked considering the likes of 2048 and other simple-yet-addicting games.
How good can you get at this? My best, as of the time of posting, is
31.
You can also challenge yourself by not attempting to lose the white ball by the end.
