//Touhoumon? Sounds interesting~ :P
> Let's wreck those regions with Youmu and her beloved Myon!
>Youmoooooooooooooooooo
>Sigh
>"Of course, Lady Yukari, it's never that simple."
>"Please show me the items."
> "I bet Lady Yuyuko it's all aware of this...">You express your annoyance and begin to examine the seven items, which are all laid out on the table, from left to right:
> Examine items.
> Put a thinking face.>"I do believe it's called a DNA Splicer." Yukari replies.
> "... Those are really strange things... What is this-"
> Point to the fifth unknown object.
> "-stick thing, Lady Yukari?"
//Geez, I have to go bed already, but I have urges to keep playing :V
> "Uh... I think I choose that thing... I want to know what is it, or what it can do."
> If Yukari doesn't object, pick the Danny-Slicer.
>Don't choose the DNA thing just yet!>You consider taking the DNA Splicer, but you refrain from doing so, for now.
>"What's a Dee-In-A?"
> "It's like... uh... a D in a A?">"Oh, I know!" Sanae blurts out, "It's genetic material found in every living thing. It's what makes you... you."
> "... Rabbit and bettle? ... Rabbettle?">You try to picture what a rabbit beetle would look like (https://www.realbutterflygifts.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Rabbit-Ear-Beetle1.jpg), before shaking the image out of your head.
> Shake the stupid thought of our mind.
> "A-Anyway... With that thing, you say I'm going to be able to combine those DNA from different people?">"Perhaps," Yukari shrugs, "Though I heard it only really works on a few particular creatures in the region it came from. Of course, if you choose it, feel free to experiment."
//TFW the other players are still asleep.>"Er... Is it alright to use it on those creatures? Like, alright for them?"
//And when Tashi it's the only bastard maiden around : P>Myon cannot speak, however it can somewhat show emotion in a way that's sort of like a form of primitive body language. For instance, it seems to be less energetic when you're sad or upset, and more energetic when you are happy or angry.
> It's Myon capable of speaking? Or at least show some kind of reactions to some events?
> "Hmm...">On one hand, you could fuse a bunch of things together into something awesome.
> Try to imagine what kind of things we can do with this mysterious, yet incredible object if it's not limited to those certain creatures.
>> Try to imagine how we can create the most powerful being!
>"Er... Is it alright to use it on those creatures? Like, alright for them?">"I'd assume it would." Yukari fans herself, "From the information I gathered, the process is supposedly reversible."
> "And what those creatures are, anyway?">"You could say so. Though, there are a lot of other creatures that could also qualify as 'monsters'. However, they all seem to be tameable from what I've observed."
> Shudder a bit.
> "... A-Are they... monsters...?"
> How is Myon reacting right now?>It's shuddering slightly.
> "I can tame them? How? Just like how can one tame a little dog?">You have a visual of offering a piece of meat to a giant abomination, which soon begins acting like a puppy.
> Think about it.
> "... I don't think that might work for monsters... am I correct?"
> "Startet kits? My, that's generous of your part, Lady Yukari.">"Well, don't expect me to give you any more assistance then that." she smirks.
> Bow.
> "If I may know... uhm... how much is involved Lady Yuyuko in all this?"
> "... Okay, get it. Ugh... why I'm always out of the things that Lady Yuyuko and Lady Yukari do? There are moments I feel I'm just filler...">You turn to the objects. Nothing has changed.
> Sigh.
> "Alright. I guess I have to choose, then..."
> Turn to the table with the objects.
>Look at the other heroines.>"Hope you weren't planning anything either." says Sakuya.
>"I hope you guys weren't planning on doing anything today."
> "Because I think we will have a looot things to do..."
> Take the Danny-Slicers.
> "This is my decision, Lady Yukari."
Maybe, before taking this DNA thing that, judging from Ms. Reisen's reaction, can be dangerous, we should see if there's a safer option?>You refrain from taking the DNA Splicer once more.
>"Umm... What are the rest of the items supposed to be? Like the feather, or that goggles-like thing, or the bracelets..?"
//Guess I have to double wait for opinions, lol.>"Well, the bracelets seem to be some kind of amplifiers, though I'll let whoever picks them figure out the details of their usage." Yukari explains, "The scope is apparently a ghost detector, and the watch's use should be obvious, I'll be disappointed if you have no idea what it does. The last two items don't really have special functions, though that case is used to store a specific kind of food found in the other world."
> "Do any of those things have an effect... uh... less "incredible" like this DNA thing? If they even have one, of course."
> "... So, that thing might detect Myon? Why would someone want this?"
> "G-Ghost detector?">You examine the Silph Scope, it looks odd and bulky. It'll probably look ridiculous on whoever decides to wear it...
> Look at the scope.
> "... So, that thing might detect Myon? Why would someone want this?">You eye Marisa, prompting her to raise an eyebrow in response.
> Look at Marisa.
> "It indeed sounds like something she would choose..."
>"L-lady Yukari, does this also pick up Phantoms?">"I'm not sure." Yukari replies, "Possibly."
> "... Well, it seems that the most "normal" things here are the watch, that case... and probably the feather...">You look at the case, watch, and feather and decide that they're probably the most normal items here. The question is will you choose one of them? Or one of the more "odd" items?
> Player opinions~.>Waiting warmly.
Youmu is someone who appreciates the simple, ordinary things in life.
Seeing as how Youmu is afraid of ghosts, the ghost detector might be more anxiety-inducing than helpful. You sure? Youmu probably would like to have something that might stop ghosts from sneaking up on her.
You sure? Youmu probably would like to have something that might stop ghosts from sneaking up on her.
> You guys are fine if tomorrow ends the votation? If so: parser, at any hour of tomorrow you can parse the option with more votes.
//Tomorrow in your locale or in mine?
>Waiting warmly.
//Also, for the record, in the event of a tie I will flip a coin and choose one at random.
>If it's represented by a Ghost thing, then that means that place must have a lot of ghosts! No on that I guess.>You decide that you'd rather not go to a place that potentially has a ton of ghosts. So you decide against the Silph Scope.
> Feather: 0>After some careful deliberation, you grab the watch and tell Yukari that you choose it.
> Case: +1 (Searinox)
> Watch: +3 (Tashi, O4rfish, The Old Guy)
>Examine what we have in the started kit.>You look at the items on the table.
>Examine items.>You examine the items more closely.
>>Check the manuals. Are they in language we can understand?>You check the manuals, they seem to be readable.
>>Is there anything written on the ticket? (If so, language...?)>Yes, and it is readable.
>>Is there anything in the backpack?>No.
>Look around.>You look around, the place doesn't seem very different from Gensokyo. The sky is still blue and the grass looks green. The trees look normal. It does feel a bit chilly, though...
>>Is there anything noteworthy around, aside from the table?
>>Is there anything that is particularly different from our world, like, say, red sky, blue grass, etc.?
> "Well, here I am...">You put everything except the poketch and pokegear into the bag and equip the poketch on your right wrist.
> Put everything in the bag, except the "Poketch" and the "Pokegear". If by any means there's no more space, let small things outside.
> Grab the watch and put it in our right wrist.
> Try to open this Pokegear thing without breaking it!>You attempt to open the pokegear and it flips open easily.
> Put music according to the situation. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P52hAZV07kQ) (Ah, the memories...)
>"Alright, Lady Yukari said there is a map somewhere in here...">You check the apps you have installed:
>Check the apps for this "Map Card".
> Try to get in that "map" option.>> Freak out because our brain doesn't understand what the hell this things are.
>(Would've picked route 201's music myself, but eh)
> Ponder if we are being watched by Yukari at any moment.>You wonder if she's watching you.
> Ponder if we can "not" follow Yukari orders for now and take any other routes.>You definitely could, since it was more of an advice or suggestion than an actual order. Yukari said the goal was to obtain four keys from this world's champions and then defeat her, but you don't think she cares about HOW you do it, for the most part.
> "H-How this thing know where I am?">You have no clue how the hell this thing is doing that, it's kinda freaky...
> Look confused.
>Do we know what Oceans/seas are?>You've heard about them, but have never actually seen one.
> But if Yukari is not keeping an eye in us... and we aren't able to complete her mission... then what is going to happen to us?!>You try
> Try to not freak out at the thought of being trapped here.> Freak out.
> What if we aren't able to come back if Yukari doesn't find us?! If so, will Yuyuko replace us?!
> Again, try to not freak out.> Freak out while yelling at Myon. "WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO, MYON?!"
>Get out the red thing and press the Scan button while pointing at each of us.>You take out the red thing, you believe it was called a "Pokedex," and aim it at yourself and press scan.
>Then point it around and press Scan.>You point it at random things, getting the same results, until you point it at one of the birds flying overhead.
>"Huh? Those are Pokemon? I expected something more... scary...">You bring up more of Starly's information.
>"...pre-evolved form? Type? What is this supposed to mean...?"
>There was a way to bring up more information, right? Do that.
> "... What if pre-evolved means... that it's not grown up? Hmm... How do I type something in this? I can't search about this "Staravia" evolution?">You speculate what 'pre-evolved' could mean.
>Ponder if speaking to this pokedex thing would net a response... it'd be useful to get more information. I mean, it has a voice itself, at least...
> Ponder, if in case the pokedex can accept voice commands, it will need "straight forward" questions.>You wonder if it can accept voice commands, however, considering it has not responded to any of the questions you've asked aloud so far, you highly doubt it.
> Well, there's only way to find that...>Nonetheless, you try to speak to it.
> "Show me information about... How was it...? Oh, yeah. About Staravia."
> "... Hope nobody it's looking at me. I might look REALLY dumb right now.">You look around. Aside from the trees and the occasional flock of starly overhead, you can see a road past the trees to the south, likely the "route 201" mentioned in the map.
> Sigh.
> Look around. Something interesting aside of trees?
> Not much else to do here, so... head towards the road, I guess.
> And beware of possible monsters! Lady Yukari told us that there are some!>You put on the backpack, which is slightly uncomfortable considering you're wearing your swords underneath it, and cautiously start heading to the road.
> Order Myon to tackle her/him! We are not here to make friends!
> Can we notice her gender from here? What it's wearing?>You can. It's a girl, and she's getting closer to you.
>Do we still have our swords?>You do, they are equipped underneath the backpack.
//Actually, there might be an easy way to prove that if things go south... if it still works....>How do you intend to do this in front of her without drawing her attention?
>Try to subtly check if we can fly, shoot danmaku, etc. in this world.
>"Was it that easy to tell?">"Well yeah, Twinleaf and Sandgem are pretty small towns, I think I would've at least recognized your face if you were local." she smiles.
>Look down a bit, but get over it.
>"Well, y-yea, but I'm trying to start off fairly well. Just that some of these are still a bit confusing...">You take out the pokedex and do so.
>Hold up one of our starter-kit items, as if examining it.
>"Trainer? And you have one too huh?">Myon floats behind you as you speak.
>Have Myon float behind our back and out of view for now...
>Do we know that normal people don't fly?>You do. Since most of the inhabitants of the Human Village don't fly, and they're among the most "normal" people in Gensokyo.
>How old do we look in normal-people years?
>"That's been following me for a long time. Nothing to worry about.">"Oh, so is it a pokemon then? Do you intend to catch it once you get your starter?"
> How much do we compare in height with this girl?>She's slightly taller than you.
> Chest comparisons included.>Your chests are about equal in size.
> "So... um... I have to introduce me. My name it's Youmu.">"I'm Dawn." she smiles, "It's nice to meet you."
> Ponder if we have to says that Myon it's our friend, at least.>You wonder if saying that would get her to drop it, you're not sure if it'll work.
>Ponder if we can stuff Myon in the backpack.>You probably could, but it might be uncomfortable for it .
>"Catch? Uh, I don't really need to worry about it going away or anything, so why would I want to do that?"
> "And doesn't that sound mean?">"Well, it'll keep other trainers from catching it if it's a pokemon." says Dawn, "Um... It is a pokemon, right? Sorry for asking, but it's kinda hiding from the pokedex..."
>"It's also really friendly, just a bit shy.">"I see..."
>"I dunno, it is just making me company.">You show some affection to your phantom half, allowing Dawn an opportunity to scan Myon.
>Rub Myon.
>"Professor ?">"Yeah, Professor Rowan." Dawn gives you a curious look, "You should've heard of him if you're a new trainer... Did you move here from another region, maybe?"
>Pet Myon.>You pat Myon and have it rest on your head.
>Have Myon then sit on our head.
>"Sorta, so....">"Professor Rowan's lab is in Sandgem town, want me to take you there?"
>Look around.
>"Where are we headed again ?"
> "And what are this "starters" you are talking about?">Dawn blinks, "You mean you don't know? Well, I guess if you're from another region you'll be unfamiliar with Sinnoh's starter pokemon... Anyway, here in Sinnoh, new trainers get to choose between Turtwig, Piplup, and Chimchar as their first pokemon."
>"Well... if it's not any trouble for you, then yes, that would be great...">"Alright," Dawn nods, "Right this way, then."
>"So the new trainer has to pick one of those three... pokemon to train first? What are they like?">"Well, Turtwig, Piplup, and Chimchar are grass, water, and fire types respectively. I personally think Piplup look really cute compared to the other two." she explains as she begins to lead you, "But turtwig and chimchar are amazing in their own ways too. Though most trainers that pick chimchar tend to struggle with the Oreburgh Gym unless they catch a grass, water, or fighting type along the way... By the way, speaking of gyms, what made you decide to become a trainer? Do you intend to take on the pokemon league, or are you more into contests or adventures?"
>"We fight using monsters? What happened to the other types of duels?"
>"Contests ? What are those ?">"It's a thing that started in the Hoenn region where trainers have their pokemon use their moves to appeal to judges for points rather than battle. We also hold them here, in Sinnoh, but only in Hearthome City, which is on the other side of Mt. Coronet." Dawn points to the distant silhouette of a mountain in the distance.
>"We fight using monsters? What happened to the other types of duels?"
>Don't say this.>You hold your tongue
> "Do you have one of those starters?">Dawn nods, "Yes. I started with a Turtwig, but it's fully evolved now."
>"Huh? Why only there?">"I'm not sure, really. I guess it's because contests aren't as popular here in Sinnoh than they are in Hoenn."
>"Also, Oreburgh Gym? And, umm... isn't it a little unfair to those who picked this Chimchar if all other starters hold such an advantage?">"Yeah, the gym in Oreburgh city. It's recommended for most beginner trainers who want to take on the Pokemon league, though some trainers decide to choose the Eterna Gym first instead. And on that note, even though Chimchar struggles in the Oreburgh Gym. It greatly excels in the Eterna Gym, where both Turtwig and Piplup run into issues."
//Not like the Anime. :P
>"I see... may i have a look at it ?"
> Brace ourselves for any monster that "Turtwig" might be.>You anticipate something horrible.
> "H-He... looks kinda... intimidating..."
> Shudder a bit.
>Looks like Gemsokyo isn't the only land full of wonders...
>"Whoa ! I-It's so.... huge..."
>Look at it some more.
>"It even has a tree on it's back..."
> "H-He... looks kinda... intimidating..."
> Shudder a bit.
>Oh come on, it's not THAT scary.>You shudder slightly, but the more you think about it, it doesn't look nearly as bad as what you were bracing for.
> "Huh... so it can understand us?">Dawn nods, "Yup. All pokemon can understand humans."
> "And how exactly they... fit in those little balls? I don't think they are comfy in there, are they? And how you make them go inside it?">"I'm honestly not the best person to explain how pokeballs work..." Dawn rubs the back of her head, "It's just that the technology allows them to be stored inside the balls, allowing trainers to call and return them at will."
>"Really ?"
>Have Myon move excitedly.
> "If that is not a problem for you, of course...">Myon does a little happy dance in the air, prompting a chuckle from Dawn.
> We should have scanned Torterra with our pokedex...>You missed a perfect opportunity (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxFcAs5ABDM)
> "Thanks for being so generous.">"Hey, no problem. I'm happy to help people out." she returns the smile.
> Smile.
> Do we see any village now?
>Pull out our pokedex if it's not out.>You take out the pokedex.
>"Hey, is there a way I can find out about a pokemon without having to point this at it, or do I have to do that?"
>"Oh? How?">"Like this." Dawn gets close to you, "You just press this button here."
> "Oooh... So interesting!">You press the button when "Kanto Pokedex" is highlighted
> Press the "Kanto Pokedex" button.
>"A hundred and fifty...">"Yeah, that's how many pokemon can be found in the Kanto region. Though many Kanto natives will argue that the number should be 151, to include the Mythical Pokemon, Mew, which has that number in the national dex, but is listed under Unclassified when browsing by region."
>"Mew ? Like a cat ?">You have Myon float to Dawn's head, causing her to jump a little.
>Have Myon float to Dawn's head now and lie there.
> Press "back".>You back out of the Kanto Pokedex and open the Sinnoh Pokedex:
> Afterwards, press "Sinnoh Pokedex".
> "Two hundred ten... It seems this is going to be a looong journey...">"And to think that's only slightly more than a quarter of the total number of pokemon species in the world."
> Look up to the road.>You have passed the edge of the village and are heading to a nearby structure
> "What this village name was, again?"
>"I see... Wait, people have seen it? So, if it's not a myth, why is it called 'mythical'?">"Well, legendary and mythical pokemon are rarely, if at all, seen. Mythical pokemon even less so, to the point that they're so rare that some people question their very existence. Mew is among the few to have actual, confirmed sightings, and I read that there was even an attempt to clone it once."
> "And I guess those "mythical" are more powerful beings than the normals, isn't it?">"Supposedly they are." Dawn nods, leading you to the entrance of the building.
>"Huh... it seems to have liked you.">"Yeah, I guess it does." Dawn smiles in return, before opening the door, "After you?"
>Smile a bit.
>Nod and enter !>You enter the building, walking into a rather clean and well lit room with tons of odd machines you've never seen before. The light seems to be coming from some things in the ceiling.
>Have Myon float and hide behind Dawn.>You have Myon hide.
>"So this the professor you talked about ?"
>"The name is Youmu, nice to meet you sir.">"The pleasure is mine." Rowan replies as you accept the handshake, "Now, I'm assume you're here to receive a starter pokemon?"
>Nod and accept the handshake.
>> Get ready to hear the talk about how pokemons are creatures with emotions, blahblahblah, and such.
> Is there a way where Myon can become not visible?
>"Yeah, i guess.">"Ah, right this way then." Rowan begins to lead you towards another room.
>Nod.
>Have Myon fly around the place.
> It's safe for Myon to separate from us a considerable distance without anything happen to her? If so, how much do we calculate the max distance she can be far from us before something bad happen to her? If everything is okay...>You have Myon fly around before exiting through the ceiling.
>> Have Myon, after exploring the place, exit the building via trespassing. Have her wait in the roof of the building for us until we get out.
>"Maybe it went to hide or explore more.">"Do you think it'll come back?" Dawn asks as she follows the two of you.
>Follow the professor.
> "And exactly, professor... You investigate... what kind of things?">"I simply conduct research so that we may learn more about Pok?mon." Rowan replies, "However, my main area of study is pokemon evolution."
> Give a look at everything that isUFOunknown for us. To think we are in a strange world like this...
> "They are... the starters of the Sinnoh Region?">"Correct," says Rowan, "That green one is Turtwig, the one behind it is Piplup, and that particularly energetic one is Chimchar. And yes, you may."
> "May I get closer to them?"
> Nod and approach to them casually, but not so fast, we don't want to scare them or anything!>You slowly approach the table.
>Daw at Piplup's shyness and adorableness and smile.>Piplup covers its face and looks away when you D'aw at it.
> Look at the little monkey too.>Chimchar smiles when you give it attention. And starts posing and flexing more vigorously in a vain attempt to show off how much stronger than the others it thinks it is.
> "I... must choose one of them?">"Yup," says Dawn, "Most new trainers choose a starter. I mean, there are other ways to get your first pokemon, but choosing a starter is the easiest and most common way."
> We want to be... common?>Do you?
> Ponder if it's a good idea to NOT choose any of those three.>You probably could refuse the choice if you wanted to. It's not like Yukari said you HAD to abide by this world's rules.
> Start to think about the hardest decision.>You start wondering which one you'd choose.
> Don't parse any decision command until there's a way of decision like the seven items event.>Waiting warmly.
>"I can't choose both?">Rowan shakes his head. "I'm afraid not. New trainers are only allowed to choose one starter from a batch."
>Have Myon float near the two individually, but not too close and watch their reactions.>You have Myon phase back in through the ceiling and float near the starters.
> Steal them and be part of Team Galaxy!
> "Huh... the green one seems to not care about anything...">"Hmm... Yes, the turtwig in this batch seems to have quite the personality..." says Rowan.
>Did we check the three in our dex? If not, do so.>You think having them get along with your other half would be favorable.
>Well, one that gets along with Myon might be a good idea...
> Wait... A nickname! We need a nickname! The originality it's really important!>You wonder if you should name your starter after you get it.
> "So... I think I'll...">You tell Rowan you choose Piplup, prompting Chimchar to fall over.
> Any objections for Piplup? If not, be free to parse and choose it!
>Try to gently pet Piplup.>You slowly extend a hand towards Piplup and it tries to back away initially, but you manage to start petting it. Its down feels really soft.
>"You are pretty adorable you know ? Let's be great friends."
>"Hehe.">You take the ball.
>Take the ball.
>"Thanks Professor."
>"Well, maybe... I'm still thinking of a good name to give it...">"Oh, okay."
>"By the way, how do I use this pokeball? And... Professor Rowan, can you explain how it works?"
>"Um, according to dawn, I just hold it out and say their name while asking for them to return. It's the opposite for them coning out, right?">"Kinda," Dawn answers, "You don't have to say their name, just aiming the button at them and saying 'return' or 'come back' is enough. For sending them out, you just throw the pokeball and say something like 'go' or 'come out'."
> "Also... uhm... is this Piplup male... or female?">"That piplup is female."
>"Oh! I'd like to know how the pokeball itself works more in detail too.">"Well," Rowan begins, "the exact technology is difficult to explain, but the pokeball works by converting a pokemon into pure energy and storing it inside a space designed to make them feel as comfortable as possible. It also becomes linked to the energy signature of the pokemon it captures, meaning that, once a pokemon has been caught with it, only that pokeball may be used on it."
>"Oh, i see.">Piplup nods.
>Look back at Piplup.
>"You don't mind being with me right ?"
>Have Myon slowly float near Piplup.
> "And what if I lose the ball? Will she won't be able to be in other one?">"That is correct. In order to release a pokemon from being bound to its ball, you have to shatter it. Otherwise they will be unable to be moved to another ball, nor will they be able to be captured by another trainer."
> "Then I must be cautious...">"I think you'll be fine." says Dawn, "Pokeballs are quite easy to keep track of, and they come right back to you when you send out a pokemon."
> "Also... there's something I don't catch... Why you guys are being so generous with me? I mean... I'm just a stranger.">"Do you really think you're the first trainer to come to this lab?" Rowan replies, "We've been supplying starters to the new trainers of Sinnoh for years, free of charge. In fact, it's standard policy for all regions except Alola to receive starters from a lab in this manner."
> "You just want us to complete your pokedex thing! You evil beings!"
> "I understand... a bit, at least...">Piplup thinks for a moment, then nods.
> Look at Piplup.
> "Would you like to have your own name, little friend?"
> You can do this too, parser~.//Nyope. I will leave all nicknames to the players, it should be the players' choice to name their friends or not anyway. :P
> To not forget about O4rfish nickname: Floe.
Floe sounds like something Youmu would actually say.
//I guess my vote's for>You decide you would like to name the piplup Floe.Flo?Floe then.
//We should propose it to her first. And if she likes it, then we're good~>The piplup doesn't seem to object.
>"How would you like the name, Floe?"
>"Piplup ! Your name will be Floe !"
>Smile !
>We can carry things with Myon, right?>You can, but Myon has difficulty carrying things larger than itself, as well as very heavy things.
> Catch Myon with the pokeball.> Throw the ball at Dawn if that doesn't work. We must catch 'em all!
> It's short, sounds nice and it's easy to remember. What else we want?>The piplup shakes her head as if to say, "No, don't be sorry."
> "Sorry if by any means you dislike it, little friend..."
>"Okay, we will train lots and become real strong together right ?">Floe pauses for a second, before nodding.
>Be excited.>Myon does a little happy dance in the air.
>"Have Myon fly around excited too.
> "I will not make you enter in the ball, but instead we will travel together for a bit>Floe nods.pikachu-like. Are you fine with that?"
>Have Myon scurry behind Floe shyfully.
> Instead of that...>You consider having Myon hide behind Floe, but instead you have it return to the roof.
> Have Myon return to the roof of the building. Just like that, as if they aren't talking about her.
> Is Floe able to stand or lie in our shoulder? Her height make that possible? What about out head?>Floe could probably cling to your shoulder, but you're unsure if her little... wings? Flippers?... could grip effectively... She's also small enough to be carried in your arms or even in your bag.
> "Hey Floe, want to have a trip in my bag? That way you can save the effort of be walking.">Floe tilts its head, as if it's unsure.
> Smile.
> "You don't have to do it if you don't want, of course...">Floe nods.
>"Um... maybe i'll try a bit of all of those, then choose which is better for me."
> "But you know... who said I can't do the three at the same time?">"That's true." Dawn smiles, "Taking on the pokemon league will cause you to go to Hearthome anyway, where you can do contests, and the whole thing is kinda like a big adventure if you think about it. Anyway, regardless of what you decide to do, if you're going to take on the Sinnoh league, then I'd suggest you either head to the Oreburgh Gym or the Eterna Gym first, since those are both considered the easiest of the eight gyms in Sinnoh. Though, if you're going to make a beeline directly to Hearthome for contests, if you haven't taken on any of the gyms along the way, then I don't recommend you take on the Hearthome gym for your first badge. The gym leader there is tough."
> "That Oreburgh Gym it's the most closer to us, I am right?">Dawn nods, "Yup..." she pauses for a moment, "...Well, the Canalave Gym is just as close, but it's not recommended for trainers who haven't beat the Hearthome and Pastoria Gyms yet. But if you're feeling very overconfident, then there's nothing stopping you from going there."
> "Better go for it safely. If I'm going to somewhere, then I'll go to that Oreburgh Gym.">"Alright." says Dawn, before adopting a look of realization, "OH! I almost forgot! Now that you have your starter, there are a few things every new trainer should know, mind if I show you? Um..." she looks to Rowan, "Assuming you don't need me for anything, of course, Professor."
>Pet Floe.>You show your starter some affection. It seems to shy away at first like the last time you pet it, but soon it warms up to you.
> "Absolutely. Please, show me.">You open the frontmost pocket of the bag and kneel down.
> Smile and open our bag slightly, enough for Floe to get in.
> Look at Floe.
> "Want to, then?"
> Stand up.>You stand back up.
> "Whenever you are. Thanks Professor."
> "W-Woah!">You have Myon follow you again as Dawn takes you outside and down the road, stopping at a building with a red roof an a white, circular symbol that resembles a pokeball. There is a building with a blue roof a bit farther down the road.
> Have Myon follow us again.
> "How that works? The healing, I mean.">"Well, they have this little machine in there that revitalizes pokemon, but it can only heal up to six at a time. And if you catch a pokemon and it gets sent to the Pokemon Storage System, then the nearest pokemon center will heal those as well." Dawn explains, "In the event of a power outage, malfunction, or an injury that the machine alone can't fix, they also do traditional medical treatment as well, such as spraying potions. Speaking of those..."
>"Okay..."
// Sadly for me, the most active time of Rumia's is in the early morning or so. In the afternoon there's activity... but not so much.
// Oh, hello Minidingy.
> "Repels? Repels for what?"
//Now there's someone on the online game I play that always calls me miltank Q_Q//Wat">For perverts?"
>"And where do i get that money ?">"Well the most common way is to defeat trainers. In a pokemon battle, the loser has to pay prize money to the winner. Of course, if you're broke, you don't have to pay. You could also sell items to a Poke Mart and get money that way, since trainers tend to find valuable objects like gold nuggets or pearls in their travels."
> "Can I rob them?"
> "Hey... I just remembered. I think I have some money... Might if you can tell me how much I have?">"Oh, sure."
>Show it to her.>You take the coins out of your bag and show her.
> Make sure Floe didn't robbed us!
>"Hm..."
>Nod.
>"So should we stop by that shop then ?"
>"Hm...">"If you want."
>Nod.
>"So should we stop by that shop then ?"
> "I'm kinda interested in those repellents>"Ah, yes, potions are a must, because then you can heal your pokemon when you're far away from a Pokemon Center."for perverts. That way I can save problems. Maybe those potions too."
>"Though maybe I should get another pokeball. Start off with a few.">"Well, how many do you already have?"
>Check inventory !>INVENTORY:
pedometer
//What the hell I am thinking?
> "I have five..."
>"Guess that might be enough for now...">"Yeah, five is the usual recommended amount to start with, though as you continue your journey you're going to want more, since rarer pokemon are difficult to catch..." she blinks, "Oh yeah! Didn't I say I'd show you how to catch a pokemon back before we went to the lab?"
> "Oh, yeah, that. No, you didn't teach me...">"Well, I said I'd show you after you get your starter..." Dawn frowns slightly, before smiling, "Anyway, come on! Route 202 is this way, it'll be the perfect spot to show you."
> "Okay.">Dawn leads you down a road between the Pokemon Center and the Poke Mart.
> Nod.
>Watch carefully.
> Back off a bit, just as a precaution.
>Watch warmly.>You back off a little.
> Scan Clefable and the other wild pokemon.>You aim your pokedex at each pokemon:
> Store pokedex.>You put the pokedex away.
> "By "status problem"... what do you mean?"
> What in the world? Paralysis? Poison? BURN? Why she speaks so normally about things that sound so serious?>You are utterly perplexed at how she handles that subject. Do they really occur that often in this world?
> Watch carefully.>The ball wobbles a second time.
>"Uh huh..."
>Ease up.
> Feast our eyes with TECHNOLOGY!
> "That's so... Incredible!"
> How is Floe doing?>Floe seems to have watched the fight with interest.
> How is Myon doing?
>Wait, have we seen if we can still fly or shoot danmaku?>You haven't tried yet.
> Feast Dawn eyes with out DANMAKU and FLYING ABILITY!
>"I think I might be fine...">"Oh, alright then... Well, good luck on your adventure. You too, Floe." Dawn nod, before walking away.
>Oh this could be a real problem then. We have to make sure we could do some thing...>You try to fly a few inches off the ground, while Dawn's back is turned, and manage to do so. However, it does seem to take more effort to fly here than in Gensokyo.
>Try and fly, just a bit off the ground will do.
>"I have this Pokesomething thing that allows me to contact people yeah.">You take out the Pokegear.
>Show it to her.
>Ponder training with Floe with our danmaku...>You wonder if you could train Floe with danmaku. If it works, you could probably improve her dodging skills.
>"Ehm... how do i find it ?">"Oh... um... let me show you then."
> A bunch of six's and nine's should be my number.
> "Err... Uhm..."
> Where is our number? Can we see it in the Pokegear?
> Try to scroll down and see if we can find any number.>You follow the steps as well as you an remember, and soon find your number.
> If not, try to find any option that says "My number" or such.
> If we are sonoobsbad at finding our own number, let Dawn guide us.
>"Oh, okay..."> "Hey, it's a bunch of six's and nine's! What a lucky number!"
> "Nevermind. Here it is."
>"Uh, alright, it's..."
>Read off the number to her.
> Give our number to Dawn.>You give your number to Dawn, who enters it into the device in her hand.
> Kill ourself to continue the legend...
> ... The half-life we have, at least.
> "What a weird song... and scary...">"Yeah, your ringtone is a bit unsettling..." Dawn remarks, "If you don't like it, you should change it."
> There's any "answer" option?
> "I think I will."
>Take up a bit of a frightened-face>"J-Just answer the call or hang up!" Dawn replies.
>"H-How do I stop it?"
>Start getting really scared, because this music really doesn't set a good mood...>You start flipping out.
>D-Dangit Yukari!
> Tap that option.>You answer the phone, and that god awful ringtone stops.
> Tap>You add Dawn as a contact.NO!any affirmative option.
>> "No offense, but I don't want you to call me everytime to tell me you found a BERRY or a new pokemon."
>Sigh in relief.>"There should be an option on your phone."
>"H-How do I change the music? W-Without having to hear that again..."
> Search for a option of "themes">You start searching for said option when --
> Someone's calling?
> If so, just answer the thing to not hear that music!
>Answer! ANSWER! ANSWER!>You answer the phone
>"Hello!?"
>> "Hallo? Lady Yuyuko? Yes, I want you to save my money, please?"
>"Speaking~" Yuyuko replies as you try to calm yourself.> DID TASHI JUST NAILED IT?!
> "L-L-L-La-La-...!"
> Calm ourself!
> "L-Lady Yuyuko?!"
>"G-Good morning Y-Yuyuko-sama!">"Good morning to you too, Youmu. How's Yukari's little competition going so far?"
> "S-So she was aware all along...">You knew it!
> Look at Dawn. Make sure to get away a bit so Yuyuko don't hear us.>Dawn nods.
> "Mind if you give me a minute?"
> Walk away a few feet from Dawn.
> "It's... uhm... kinda particular..."
>"But, I think I might be able to handle it, its going to be kind of weird using little pocket monster things instead of danmaku, thou.">"Well, you don't necessarily have to use them, I think... But everyone seems to be using them, for now. Even Reimu, I've heard."
>"It's starting off good, I think. There's this really friendly person who's been helping me quite a bit. And this technology is a bit confusing... And the music this thing plays is really scary you know!">"Oh, then I should start calling you more often then~!"
> How is Floe doing?>Both of them seem to be fine. Floe seems to be wondering who you're talking to.
> How is Myon doing?
>"I-I'm gonna get it changed, so it won't matter."
> "And that's mean if you do that to scare me, Lady Yuyuko...">"I was just kidding anyway~" Yuyuko teases.
> Sigh.>"I've been fine, I'm at the Hakurei Shrine right now. Yukari called me and the other 'Gensokyo contacts' together and we're all placing bets on who's going to get their first key. We're all having a great time."
> "Anyway... How've you been? Everything it's okay?"
>"Eh?">You recall Yukari mentioning before you selected an item (https://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,20470.msg1302835.html#msg1302835) that each of the seven regions you were all sent to has a champion, and that she had given each champion a key. Four of these keys are required to open a gap to Gensokyo, where you will be able to challenge Yukari to a battle. If you manage to defeat her, then the "competition" is over and all of you can go home.
>Do we know what they mean by Keys? If not...
>"H-Hey ! This isn't a betting game !">"But betting is fun~!"
> "And who's with you, anyways?">"Yukari, Ran, Chen, Suika, Alice, those two mountain gods, Remilia, the Ice Fairy's friends, and those lunarians from Eientei... Why do you ask?"
>"A-Are you watching us? Ahh... I shouldn't waste time..."
> Fidget a bit of the thought of being watched... at any time.>You fidget.
> "Y-You all surely are interested in this, don't you...?">"Well it certainly is an interesting concept..."
>We don't have to use the bathroom, do we?>You do not have any urges.
> "That's fine... I guess this is a plus too. I can call you if I want to talk with someone, which is nice.">"True."
> Sigh.>"I know, but who knows? Maybe you'll get used to it."
> "Being a completely stranger in this world it's not all that good, you know?"
> Glance at Floe as we say this.
> "U-Used to? W-What do you mean by that? Y-You aren't going to abandon me, aren't you?">You start flipping out again.
> Enter panic mode.
>Sigh in relief.
>"Thanks Yuyuko-sama."
> "I-It was just...">"Okay then. Well, I'd better go for now. Take care~!"
> Sigh again.
> "D-Don't worry abou it."
> Look at the Pokegear for a couple of seconds, then sigh.>You sigh and add Yuyuko to you contact list
> Add Yuyuko as a contact.
>> "Dammit, she hung up before I asked her if she was able to save my money..."
>Head back to Dawn.>"Uh... Well, you would go to your settings menu and select 'change ringtone.' " Dawn replies
>"So uh... how do I switch the music?"
> Follow instructions.>You follow the instructions, finding the proper menu after a few seconds of searching.
> Ringtones availables?
>You set your ringtone to the sixth one. You don't know why, but it just clicks with you.> Use a proper theme! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVWWcO28TKU)
> Have some kind of connection with the sixth one.
> Choose sixth one. Nuff said.
> Play it if it's not.>You play it.
> "Sounds good?"
> "Yeah. I can't let you do all for me. I have to learn by myself, don't you think?">"Alright then," Dawn smiles in return, "So you're heading to Oreburgh, right? To get there, you just need to follow the road until you reach Jubilife City, then take Route 203 to the east. If you don't go sightseeing in Jubilife along the way, then you should hit Oreburgh by nightfall."
> Smile.
> "Got it. Thanks for all the help Dawn. I owe you one... or several.">"Your welcome. And no need to owe me anything, I like helping new trainers!"
>Smile.>The piplup nods.
>"Okay, you ready Floe ?"
>"Alright !">You pump your fist and begin walking down the road.
>Pump our fist up and locate where to go !
> "Bye! And thanks again!">You say your goodbyes to Dawn as you depart.
>Have Myon follow us to our right.>You have Myon start following you to your right.
>Hum a happy tone while looking for pokemon.>You start humming.
>Stop and scan it !>You whip out the pokedex.
>"Ooo...">The shinx is lying on the rock, it yawns cutely.
>Examine it amusedly.
>Approach it carefully.>You start to carefully approach the shinx.
>Pull out sword.>You draw Roukanken, causing the shinx to stand up and eye you cautiously
>Oops, forgot that this isn't gensokyo, sheath sword and pull out ball instead.
//I want to express my LOVE towards Luxray.>You wonder if this little guy is worth adding to your team.
> "I wonder if it's better try to befriend this little friend..."
> "... Uhm... Hello?">You greet the shinx, which continues to eye you cautiously.
> Before that:>Floe looks at you and chirps a bit.
>> Look at Floe.
>> "What's wrong?"
>Get back and away from the shinx and let Floe out.>You allow Floe out of the bag, she heads behind your legs, peeking out to eye the shinx with curiosity.
>Look to the shinx again.>The shinx continues to stand its ground and eye you with caution.
> Squat slowly.>You try to be as warm and friendly to the shinx as possible as you slowly squat.
> Don't make any jerky movements.
> Try to transmit a warm presence. Not an aggresive one.
>Maybe it doesn't wanna be bothered...>Maybe.
> Keep calm and wait.>You put a hand on Floe to calm her down as you wait.
> Don't let Floe do anything jerky.
>"Hey there, nice to meet you.">You try to be as friendly as possible.
>Smile, but be wary if he displays any agression.
>Keep still.>The shinx looks between you and Floe, standing its ground.
>"It's okay, i won't hurt you."
>"Oh, don't worry, Floe won't hurt you either, right Floe ?">Floe nods.
>Look at her.
>Look back at the Shinx.>The shinx continues to eye you cautiously.
>"See ?"
>"I won't hurt you.">You approach the shinx, which takes a step backwards.
>Slowly approach the Shinx.
>"Can i please pet you ?"
>"Cmon, i mean no harm."
>Take another step closer.
> As always, slower.>You slowly take another step closer.
>Keep slowly approaching it, then once we are close enough, slowly approach our hand to pet it.>You keep approaching, and attempt to pet the shinx, who shies away from your hand.
> "My name is Youmu...">You introduce yourself...
>"So you are a Shinx huh ? You looks really pretty you know ?">You try again, managing to pet it while its growling at you.
>Try again.
>Keep petting it.>You continue to pet the shinx. It seems to be warming up to your presence.
>"Hehe."
>"It's nice to meet you buddy.">The shinx continues to allow you to pet it.
> What is Floe doing?>Floe is slowly approaching the shinx.
> How's Myon?
>"So you can let out electricity huh ? That's really cool.">The shinx tilts its head at you curiously.
>Smile.
>"Let's be friends !"
>"Let's travel together ! We will have a lot of adventures together with Floe here."
> Keep the warm presence always.>The shinx eyes you and Floe, and seems to think for a few seconds, before nodding.
> Gesture to her/him and then gesture to us and Floe.
> "You want to come with us? We might discover incredible things."
> Talk will always overcome battles. We have a new friend!>You stand up and prepare an empty pokeball.
> Stand up. Prepare the pokeball.
> Do we think it wants to battle first before we capture it?
>"So you wanna fight huh ? Okay !">You scan Floe with the pokedex.
>First, scan Piplup to see what moves she can use.
> Scan Shinx. What gender is? Do we know what attacks it has?>You only manage to pull up the data entry on it again, however, there is a marker next to the "type" field that shows that the shinx is, in fact, male.
//Did we ever even check the moves?
>"Alright ! Ready Floe ?">Floe nods, before getting into her own stance.
> If Floe it's ready...>Floe raises one of her flippers up and starts running at the shinx, who charges at her.
> "Use pound!"
> We still need to know how all the moves work!>Floe dodges to the side as the shinx barely misses her.
> "Dodge!"
>> If she dodges:>Floe chirps cutely.
>> "Use growl!"
> Is there enough space for Floe to dodge from below of the Shinx?>There might be.
>> If so:>Floe barely manages to slide underneath the shinx, and delivers a pound straight to its underside, sending it up into the air a couple feet.
>> "Go past below him and then use pound!"
> "Still want to fight, little friend?"
>Rather than little friend, lets say "buddy". Don't wanna make it feel less, being called little.>The shinx attempts to tackle Floe again.
>"Dodge to the left and then take the window to pound again !">Floe dodges and slams the shinx in the side with another pound.
>"Good job !">You toss a pokeball at the shinx, smacking it right in the side.
>Quickly take out an empty pokeball, then do as Dawn told us and throw it at the Shinx !
> ... Nero?>You consider this as an option.
>First we get him back out to choose it together.>You retrieve your pokeball and let out your newly caught shinx.
>Take the pokeball with the Shinx and toss it again."
>"Come out buddy !"
> Lift him up cautiously. We don't wanna hurt him more!>You carefully pick up the shinx.
> Look at Floe.>You look at your piplup.
> "Let's go to the Pokemon Center.">Floe nods in agreement.
>Put Floe back in the bag if she's still out...>You set down the shinx and place Floe back in your bag, before picking your shinx up again.
>"Hang on buddy okay ? We will heal those wounds in no time.">You backtrack all the way to Sandgem town and enter the Pokemon Center.
>Walk quickly towards the Pokemon Center.
> Walk towards the nurse.>"Greetings. Welcome to the Pokemon Center." The nurse replies with a warm smile, "Your shinx looks pretty battered, would you like us to restore it to perfect health?"
> "Uhm... Hello..."
> "Eh... Yeah... I'd like to cure my Floe. Please?"
>"Yes please, and Floe too.">"Floe?" the nurse asks, before Floe chirps. She soon notices the piplup in your backpack.
>Do as the nurse says.>You return Floe and your currently unnamed Shinx to their pokeballs, and hand them to the nurse.
> Nod.>You look around.
> Look at the people in place.
> Look at said screen with a curious look.>FEAST OUR EYES WITH TECHNOLOGY!
>The screen cuts to a blue haired man with... a rather awful hairstyle that kinda reminds you of cat-ears mixed with a bowl-cut standing behind a podium.
> Use the pokegear and make the number a contact. Call it "International Police.">You add it as a contact.
> Once done, return with the nurse.>You return to the counter, where the nurse already has your pokeballs waiting for you.
> Bow a bit.>"You're welcome. Have a nice day!" she smiles.
> "Thanks a bunch miss,"
> Take the pokeballs and let the two out.
> Squat, but with decency, there's people here...>Your shinx mews cutely.
> "How are you doing?"
> Giggle a bit.>The shinx tilts its head.
> "So..."
> Look at the Shinx.
> "I have to give you a nickname..."
> "You know! A special name, just for you. Don't you want one?">The shinx thinks for a moment, then does what could only be described as its equivalent of a shrug.
> "... I'll take that as a maybe...">The shinx, now named Nero, shrugs again.
> Start thinking.
> "... Let's see... Nero?"
>"Okay, from now on, we will be great friends right Nero ?">Nero purrs a little as you pet it.
>Smile and pet it.
> Ponder if our two friends can be in our bag at the same time...>You could probably stuff one of them into one of the larger pockets, but they won't be able to see out... Plus, you might need that bag space later.
> Maybe we should let them follow us instead of being one of them in the bag. We must not show any preferences over our friends.>That could work as well.
> Stand up.>Your two pokemon nod.
> "Alright, ready to go on?"
>Keep that smile !>You notice Myon flying in circles nearby as a few bystanders are trying to aim their pokedexes at it.
>Where is Myon ?
>Tell Myon to hide behind us, then if those people get too close, to go through the roof and stay there until we come out, then follow us.>Myon hides behind you as you walk out of the building.
>"Then cmon, we have to get going."
>Start walking our way back with our pals !
>"Eh ?">You look at the kid and make eye contact. He smiles as he catches his ball and moves to block your way.
>Look at the kid with curiousity, but keep going on our way.
> "A battle...?">"Yeah!"
> Look at our pokemon.
>Pull out swo-Wait, he probably means the pokemon.>You almost draw Roukanken.
> "Stop buzzing, kid! You want me to cut you to pieces, HUH?!"
> Draw Roukanken menacingly.
> "... Alright.">The kid nods. "Alright, this will be a one on one battle, so one pokemon each! Got it?"
>"Okay.">You scan Nero.
>Scan Nero to see his moves.
>"Hm... so which of you wanna fight ?">Nero immediately steps forward.
> "Alright. Go for it Nero!"
>"Okay, your first battle with us Nero, do your best !">Floe gives a few chirps of encouragement as well.
>Smile and nod, then get ready.>Nero hops in front of you and enters a fighting stance.
> We scanned a Starly before? if not, do it.>You have scanned it before.
> Wait for the Starly to attack first.
> I doubt that Nero can dodge it... so...>Nero counters it with a head-on tackle, the Starly is knocked back a bit.
> "Use tackle!"
>"Just stay ready Nero."
> "Don't take your eyes off him!">Nero begins eyeing the starly with caution.
> If the Starly attacks.>Nero jumps up and slams the starly into the ground with a tackle, using the momentum to springboard off it.
>> "Jump over him and use tackle again!"
> "Good job Nero!">You shinx comes running back to you, he looks happy.
> Beckon him.
> Squat and pet him.>He mews as you pet him.
> "You did a really good job in your first battle with us, buddy."
>Turn back to the trainer.>"You did pretty good too." says the trainer, before holding out a hand. In it you see some coins, "I lost, so I'm supposed to give you some money."
>"It was nice to fight."
> How much experience?
> Accept it or not accept it? That is the question...>You wonder if you should...
>"W-Wait, we were playing for money? I thought it was just for fun?">The kid gives you a look.
> "Liar! One can always farm money at the pokemon league!"
> Just... what kind of world is this?
> "Err... Okay, I'll get it..."
> Take it. How much?
>"R-Right... T-Thank you.">Once again, you're perplexed by the rules of this world.
>Hesitantly move our hand a bit, as if nearly holding it out, but not.
>This just doesn't feel right...
>Sigh, hold our hand out to receive the coins.
> "What?! Only these?! I just rekted your Starly!
> "Uhm... thank you...?">"Hey, don't mention it. You earned it fair and square." the kid replies, "Now, if you'll excuse me, ma'am I need to go to the Pokemon Center."
>"Er..."
>Look to our companions.
> "...">You look at your companions.
> Blink a few times.
> Look at our pokemon.
> "Let's continue our trip?">Your pokemon nod in unison.
>Where is our destination again?>You do believe it's Oreburgh City, and that Dawn said that you will have to pass through a city called Jubilife to get there.
>Are there any places out from view of others?>It's mostly open fields where you are, however, there is a small grove of trees off the road coming up.
>Is there anyone nearby?>Nope.
>If not, try to fire a shot of danmaku on the ground as we travel.
>Look at those two and signal to calm down.>They look between the scorch mark on the ground and you, before nodding.
>"It's alright, um... can you please not tell people that can do this ? It's a secret..."
>Have Myon float around too.>You have Myon move in a small circle.
>"Would you two like to train against this if we can find a nice area for it? It'd help with dodging, but you don't need to, and I'm not gonna force you.">They look to each other and exchange a few vocalizations, before looking back to you and shrugging.
>"Thanks you two, i knew i could count on you."
>Smile.
>"Oh, by the way, this little floating thing here is Myon, it's a companion of mine."
> "Please don't try anything strange with her, she is very shy.">They nod, looking at your phantom half.
>Have Myon slowly float down to besides them.>You do so.
>Let them check her.>You allow your pokemon to examine Myon further.
>"So ?">Your pokemon seem comfortable around Myon.
>Smile.>You have Myon rest there, she seems to jump from the coldness at first but soon calms down.
>Have Myon sit on top of Floe's head.
>"Hehe.">You giggle a bit.
>Have Myon float and land on Nero's head.>You have it do so.
>"She seems to have liked you two !">Floe nods in agreement.
>"Cmon Nero, smile a bit.">The shinx tries to smile.
>Have Myon lift from his head, then hover up and down excitedly in front of Nero.>You have Myon do so.
>"There ya go, okay, let's go everyone !">You continue your walk.
>Resume our walk !
> Do we think Nero can stand in our shoulder?>You don't think so. He might slip off easily.
>Ponder if once our adveture ends, if we can take them back with us.>You wonder if Yukari will let you keep them once your journey is over.
>Keep going.
> "Man! This place is HUGE! How those buildings don't fall if they are that high?">You head down, reaching the edge of the city within minutes.
> Keep going.
> Visit PokeCenter and patch Nero up.>You start heading to the Pokemon Center when you notice a man in a brown trenchcoat leaning against the side of the building, partially obscured by some kind of post with glass at the top, holding a pair of binoculars.
> Approach curiously.>The man immediately looks in your direction.
> "... Excuse me, sir?"
> "... What.">"...Heh." He maintains his composure, "Trying to play dumb, are you? I know better than to believe that! You recognized right away that I was someone extraordinary. That is why you spoke to me, is it not? Your power of observation is fearsome! In fact, it reminds me of a couple of kids from several years ago..."
> "Well... you surely are some extraordinary... I mean... who else tries to hide in a post?">This man is... quite peculiar...
> "No offense, sir, but the one looking really suspicious was you...">"Well, in my defense, I am undercover... Speaking of which, now that said cover has been blown, allow me to introduce myself. My name... No. You shall know me only by my code name! I am called Looker. It is what they all call me."
> Wonder if we can be more cool with a "codename".>You wonder...
> "Huh... Given you aren't telling me your real name, then I must not tell you mine... ... Call me Myon.">"Hmph, very well, if you insist."
> "So... you said you were part of the Internation Police? What kind of investigation are you doing?">"My mission here has two objectives: One, find and apprehend the former Team Galactic scientist, Charon, and Two, well... that's need to know... By the way, you wouldn't happen to have any information regarding Charon's location, would you? You must share it with me if you do!"
//Here are 3 am :V... Merry Christmas to you too and everyone :)>"Hmm, well if you do receive any information, please inform me or the International Police immediately."
> "I heard about him... but I didn't see him personally, sorry."
//Where is everyone ? :(//It's Christmas, they're probably doing things with their families. Hell, even I might be gone for half the day.
>"Uh huh, i have the number right here."
>"I'll do so.">"Excellent. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must take my leave. There doesn't seem to be any sign of him in this part of the city."
//Well it has been like this for a while now...>You wonder if he saw Myon...
>"Alright."
>Did he see Myon ?
>It could, though it wouldn't be very comfortable for it to stay like that.>Of course he did. We're Myon, remember?
>Having Myon hang around away from us probably isn't good. Could it fit in a bag or something?
> Have Myon float to the roof of the Pokemon Center, out of the look of... Looker...>You have Myon flee.
> "Huh?" Look behind us. "What Pokemon?">"It was right behind you until I pointed it out. I saw it fly over the Pokemon Center."
> "Huh... Well, I don't think it's nothing to worry about.">"Hmm... Well I'd advise you keep an eye on it if it shows up again. If it's an undiscovered species, or worse, then there's no telling what its intentions are."
> "There are pokemons that are really dangerous?">"Yes, of course. For example, all legendary pokemon possess incredible amounts of power, and most could care less about humans, so you wouldn't want to get on their bad side. However, thankfully, encounters with them are incredibly rare. Though, even an improperly trained Gyarados or Hydreigon could be dangerous, and there are a few ghost types that sometimes have quite malevolent individuals. And then there's the Ultra Beasts..."
>"I suppose they're dangerous enough to cause an incident?">"Correct. Usually when one shows up, it tends to be confused and scared, and therefore they lash out at the environment until they calm down. Though a few of them can employ other methods. Regardless, we at the International Police advise that people treat all of them as walking disaster zones. However, we do not have any regulations against catching them like any other pokemon, so foolhardy trainers will usually ignore the advice and go after one if it's sighted..." Looker pauses for a moment, "Despite all that, the good thing is that they don't show up often, and should someone actually succeed in catching one, they calm down extremely quickly..."
> "You think that some flying girls shooting colorful bullets can stop them?
>Walking disaster zones, and yet trainers without abilities such as mine can capture them with their pokemon...>You're wondering if capturing and owning something that dangerous should be illegal...
>"I'll be fine then.">"Alright." He nods, "Ah, and one last thing before I leave: Should, however unlikely it may be, you spot an Ultra Beast, regardless if you decide to catch it or not, please inform the International Police so we can sweep the area, just in case more than one slipped through to our world. The seven known UBs have been recorded in most modern pokedexes, so identifying one shouldn't be an issue."
>Nod.>"Well then, I'll be off. It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Myon."
> Have Myon return with us.>You have Myon return to you.
> Resume our previos actions before meeting Looker.
> Visit PokeCenter and patch Nero up.>You visit the Pokemon Center and get Nero healed. Nothing of interest happens during this.
> After that, examine this "older looking, two-story building".>You head outside with your pokemon in tow and examine the building.
>Head for it.>You head across the street and stop outside the building.
> Go inside and learn more about this pokeworld!>You head inside.
>"...Just visiting.">"Ah, so is there anyone in particular that you're visiting or...?"
>A school huh...
>"No. Not really.">"Oh, so are you here for a tour then?"
>"Yes that sounds nice. Thank you.">"Alright," The receptionist stands up and places a sign reading "Will return momentarily" on the desk, "Right this way, please."
>Nod and follow.>You and your team begin to follow, Myon follows covertly.
>Have Myon stick close to us, avoiding dex's as necessary.
>"Oh.">Your pokemon look back at you.
>Look at our two Pokemon.
>Peek ! The window that is.>You peek out the window.
> "I feel like an ant...">"Hmm? Why that's on odd request, usually it's the students that request a battle with strangers, not the other way around." the woman chuckles, "But you certainly could if you approached them during recess, which will be in about ten minutes."
> Think for a second.
> "Miss, it's possible for me to hold a battle with one of them?"
> "Well I ask because...">Your pokemon look back at you.
> Look at our pokemon.
> "... I don't know if they want to have some fun."
> "Who want to do the honors? You Floe? Or maybe Nero?">Nero takes a step back, Floe gives him a confused look before he nudges her forward.
> "Floe will be.">You start to wait, but the woman starts heading down a hall, as if to continue the tour.
> Smile and start to wait.
> Follow her! We don't want to be bad mannered.>You follow her and come to an open doorway, you see a classroom in session on the other side.
I just realized Youmu might not think it abnormal to go into a school and fight the students. That is something they do in martial arts. Also she was tried how to fight with a sword by a teacher, so yeah.
>Keep following her.>She stops at the doorway and peeks inside.
>Peek in carefully along with her.>You peek in, there are a bunch of kids of varying ages sitting at desks while a teacher stands at the front. None of the kids seem more than ten years old.
> Hey, it's Myon okay?>Your ghost half is fine, remaining mostly out of eyesight as per your instructions.
>Do we still possess the ability to have Myon mimic our appearance? Details on it (how good we are at, how much she looks like us, time limit, if any).>You do, though it's still easy to tell the two of you apart, as Myon is more transparent than you. Otherwise it's an exact duplication. It can keep the form up for about five minutes, afterwards, you would need to actively spend energy to keep the form intact.
>Keep listening for the moment if our guide still is.>"Uh... Rock is weak to grass, fighting, steel, and I think ice and water, and is strong against bug, flying, and fire, right?" another student asks
>Commit it to memory.>You commit what you've heard to memory.
>Keep on.
> "Okay...">The piplup nods.
> Look at Floe.
> "Ready?"
> "Okay miss. We are ready.">She nods, before leading you towards a door as an army of children floods the hallway.
//How about we just watch a battle? Even so, it'd be tough keeping Myon out of dex range from all the kids around... Especially if one tries to chuck a pokeball at it.>You make a note to do this later.
>Note to try and touch Myon with an empty pokeball to see it's effects, if it does anything. This is extremely important and we should get it done as soon as possible. If it turns out that it can be contained in a pokeball, we should own it, not anyone else.
>> "You shall not pass, kidos!"
> Follow her.>You follow, keeping your pokemon close.
> Make sure our pokemon don't get lost in the army of kidos!
>Make sure Myon sticks close to us too! Probably hold it if it's not uncomfortable and we can hold it.>You take Myon under one of your arms as you move.
>Keep following her.>She leads you towards the pavement before clearing her throat.
> "A-Actually... I'd like to see a battle between them... I want to rethink about me fighting...">"Oh, alright... though er... *ahem* Your name..."
>"Myo-I mean, Youmu! Yeah, Youmu.">"Anyway, if you don't mind, Miss Youmu here would like to watch you battle."
>"Y-Yeah, i just started my journey, this is Floe, the piplup.">"Aww they look so cute!/Look at the little piplup!/Those are nice nicknames./My bidoof looks stronger!" You hear the kids react, among other things.
>Gesture to her.
>"And this is Nero, the shinx, i befriended and caught him a while ago."
>Gesture to him.
> "Who's the one that says his bidoof is stronger? Come on, don't be scared... I'm just going to RIP YOU TO SHREDS.
> "Y-Yeah... So... about the battle...">"Yeah, you can watch." one of the kids nods
>Look to our pokemon.>"Like what?" a kid asks as you pet you shinx.
>"We wanna see how you fight first, there is something we gotta find out first."
>Pet Nero.
>"Your bond with your pokemon.">"What about it?" another kid asks.
>"Did you ask them if they wanna fight today ?">"No," the same kid replies, "Henry challenged William before class."
>"Well let's watch it then.">"Yeah! I'm going to take your title for strongest on the playground today, William!" a cocky young boy steps forward.
> Myon status?>Myon is remaining out of sight.
> Look at another kid.>"William is the current champion of this schoolyard. So yeah, he's good. He's planning on taking on the oreburgh gym once he finishes this year." the kid replies.
> "Why's he so confident? Is he really good?"
> Watch warmly.>You watch.
> Scan them and keep watching.>You pull out your pokedex and scan, starting with the cocky kid's pokemon.
> Watch how it hardens everytime.
> "P-Poisoned... I still don't get why they are so... calm when they realize that kind of thing...">This world is weird....
>Keep watching !>The Kricketot continues to endure until the glow becomes very bright, and it unleashes a massive, white beam at its opponent.
>> "It hardened..."
> "W-What...? ... Is it about to... 'evolve'?">"I-I think so!" another, equally amazed kid answers.
> Look in amazement.
> Scanning time!>You scan, starting with the one that evolved:
> Watching warmly time!>"Fang, use Bite!" the zubat's owner commands, and the pokemon lunges at the dustox with its fangs bared.
>"Cassidy, snap out of it and use your new Gust attack!"
>The dustox begins flapping its wings, but it seems to be throwing the gust in random directions, missing every shot as the zubat untangles itself from the silk.
> "Hey, at least your pokemon doesn't hurt itself from god know what reasons 3 times in a row."
> Scan! More scan!>You scan the new combatant
> "A rich kid, huh...">"Yeah..." one of the kids answers.
> Blink a few times.>"Why the abra used psychic, of course." the kid with glasses answers, "Psychic is an attack where the enemy is hit with a strong telekinetic force. And it's super effective on a poison type like zubat."
> "... W-What just happened?"
> How are our pokemon?>You notice Floe has taken a step backward. Nero, on the other hand, seems to be looking at the rich kid with interest.
> Golden Myon 007 status?>All is fine.
> Look at Floe.>Floe chirps at you a few times, and points a flipper towards where the zubat hit the ground.
> "Hey... what's wrong?"
> "What do you mean? You don't want to battle?">Nero mews at Floe a few times, and Floe chirps back.
>"I guess that probably did look like it hurt..."
> "Don't worry... I don't think we should battle for now...">Floe nods.
>"I mean we should practice some more Nero. We could probably come back another time. We haven't really practiced at all yet.">Nero stares at you for a minute, before slowly nodding.
>"Thank you for the tour, miss.">"You're welcome," the receptionist replies, "Is there anything else you need?"
> "And sorry, Nero... Maybe another time.">The shinx nods.
>Shake our head.>"Would you like me to show you to the exit then?"
>"If you don't mind.">"Right this way then."
> "Thanks for that demostration, kids. It was a great battle.">"You're welcome./So you're not going to battle one of us?/Goodbye./What a chicken, I bet my bidoof could sweep her team!" are among the replies you hear.
> Smile.
> "Bye.">You follow the receptionist as she leads you back to the entrance.
> Follow with our pokemon.
>"Thank you.">You exit, ending up on the streets of Jubilife once more.
>Leave with our pokemon.
>"So guys, ready to start training? The training I mentioned, or a few regular battles?">Nero moves towards the hand for regular battles.
>Hold out a hand for each decision to let them choose.
> "Who wants to be the first?">Nero gets behind Floe and nudges her forward.
>"So we should search for a wild pokemon, right...">Nero nods. Floe does so a second later.
> Search for wild PERSONS!
> What time is it?>It seems to be early afternoon.
> Return to the previous route from where we came.>You return to Route 202, having Myon follow.
> Don't forget about Splinter Myon!
>Ponder...>She could in a limited fashion. Though you doubt battling against yourself would be possible: Even though Myon can copy your appearance, she cannot speak.
>If Myon can mimic us, then can she act separately? Would we be able to have a battle against ourself?
> First of all... try tossing a pokeball to Myon.>You toss an empty pokeball at Myon. It smacks into your phantom half, and gives it a slight shock. Unfortunately, you feel it as well.
> "S-Sorry about that..."
> Pick up the ball.
> Feel stupid as we just hitted ourselves.
>"Well, at least it won't be captured that way...">You feel like an idiot, but at least you know...
> Start searching for any wild pokemon.>You begin your search.
> Ponder if we really want to attack him like... Ugh, this world seems that don't care about this... animal things?>You wonder if you really just want to attack it outta the blue...
> Gesture so the bidoof notice us. No surprise attacks with Youmu!>You try to get the bidoof's attention, it looks toward you.
>"Hey, um... mind if we fight you ? We kinda are looking for someone to train with."
> Gesture to him, then to Floe.>The bidoof just turns away and starts walking.
>Pout.>Floe nods and rushes the bidoof with a raised flipper, striking it across the back.
>"How rude... hey Bidoof ! I am gonna attack !"
>Turn to Floe.
>"Use Pound Floe !"
>"Hey i warned you ! Floe, use growl !">Floe makes some angry penguin noises, causing the bidoof to back away slightly, before it goes into a full-on point-blank tackle attack.
>From how far exactly ?>Floe is literally right next to the bidoof.
>"Brace for impact !">Floe braces herself and takes the tackle, which sends her falling backwards.
>"Evade then take the window to prepare another Pound !">Floe just barely dodges the tackle and gives the bidoof a swift pound to the neck.
>Check up the bidoof.>You check on the bidoof.
>"You got it Floe ! Good work !"
>"We'll prove those jerks wrong in no time.">Floe makes a happy expression at your praise.
>"How about another?">Floe thinks for a moment, then nods.
> Keep looking for another one.>You feel bad for that bidoof.
> Feel bad for the bidoof...
>> Feel good for that stupid bidoof and the other stupid bidoof of that kid.
>"Oh, one of those birds.">The starly glances at you.
> Show wushu skills for the starly join us.
> Point to him and then to Floe.>The starly just stares at both of you.
> "Wanna a battle?"
> Don't hesitate to look at those eyes that penetrate souls.
> "Pound him, Floe!">Floe runs at the starly and lands a pound on it, knocking it backwards. It starts making distressed chirps.
>Look up to the tree.>The tree is rustling, the heads of at least twenty starly poke out of the leaves, chirping furiously before a single, louder squawk silences them.
> Uh-oh at the thought of what this might be...
> We know what it is...
>Get a hand on our pokemon's pokeballs in preparation to return them...>You brace yourself for what's coming next.
>"A larger one huh...">"Staravia, the starling pokemon. They fly around forests and fields in search of bug pokemon. Recognizing their own weaknesses, they tend to stay within a huge flock of Starly or other Staravia. When rival flocks enter the same territory, squabbles are common. It is the evolved form of Starly."
>Scan it, but keep an eye on it.
> "Be on guard, guys...">Nero mews. Floe turns back to you and nods.
>Blink.>The staravia flies up into the air and crosses its wings in front of itself, when they open, two copies of it appear at either side.
>"We're sorta guilty for attacking first, I won't deny that, but we're trying to get stronger. Do you wanna help us, or retreat?"
>Assume a battle-ready stance.
>"Floe, strike as soon as one tries to attack.">Floe nods.
> "Jump! He's behind you!">Floe starts to jump, but is unable to get out of the way of the Quick Attack in time and takes a direct hit.
>"Rr... Are you still alright Floe?"
>"Let's give it all we got ! If concentrate on my voice Floe.">She turns to you, a bit bruised, and nods.
>"Dodge under and counter it!">Floe slides underneath the staravia and gives it a pound to the underside, causing it to crash into the ground.
>"Nice one. Keep ready Floe!">The staravia gets up and copies itself again, creating three copies this time, making four staravia.
>"Stay focused.">Floe looks between the staravia, trying to determine which one's the real one.
>Keep an eye on the one whom glanced.>Floe gets a pound ready.
>"Get ready!"
> Kilga Mode: ON.
> Is there any space for Floe to dodge from below?>Yes.
>Where is that one? Behind her? In front? To her sides? This shouldn't take time to clarify.>it's behind her, at a diagonal.
>Wait, we can't intervene yet! At least not directly. We could kill it that way.>You considering drawing Roukanken and joining the fight, but that would be needlessly dangerous for the staravia...
>"Behind you!"
> If by the moment Floe turns there's no reaction time to dodge, then pound that Staravia as hard as she can!>Floe turns around and pounds the staravia right in the face, sending it back a few feet before it manages to stabilize itself.
>Check Floe's move with our dex.>You scan Floe. She couldn't have just spat in it's face.
>Wait, we can't intervene yet! At least not directly. We could kill it that way.
>"Bubble... Ah, a ranged attack."
> "Alright! It's a new move, Floe!">Floe smiles and nods.
>If it's still airborne, check out bubble.>You command your piplup to use bubble.
>"Alright! Keep patient for it then Floe. We can do this!"
> How seems Floe to be doing?>Floe looks pretty battered, but is still standing, her bubbles aren't that fast, but they aren't too slow to hit either.
>"Use bubble!"
> "At all directions!">Floe spins around shooting bubbles.
>Look at them, do they all make shadows ?>You look at the ground, and notice that only one is casting a shadow.
//Ah, I was hoping bubble in one direction would hit all as they circled...>Floe ducks.
Looks like we might've lost thanks to Floe being dizzied...
>"D-Dive!"
>"Pound upwards!>Floe pounds straight up at the last second, the force of the two attack colliding makes a small shockwave.Shoryuken!"
>Head over and carry Floe.>You run over and sweep Floe into your arms.
>"You did amazing Floe. I couldn't be prouder."
> Check on the Staravia afterwards.>The staravia is injured, but still conscious. It slowly tries to get back to its feet.
> What are doing the bunch of starlys?>They're just watching you silently...
> Nero and Myon status.>Nero is next to you, he seems happy.
> "Great battle... Both of you."
>Take out an empty pokeball if we can without bothering Floe.>The staravia looks at you, then at its flock.
>>look over to the Staravia.
>>"Hey. Do you wanna join our team?"
>"We look forward to your company. But first we should get you guys all rested up.">You tap the pokeball against the starling pokemon, and it gets sucked inside.
>Bring the pokeball to it and gently press it against it.
//Well, I wasn't hoping to capture the staravia... so I don't have any name :V>You scan its pokeball with the pokedex.
> Is it a female or a male?
>Later, first we go heal him/her !>Floe and Nero chirp/mew in agreement.
>"Cmon everyone, let's go back to fond an Pokemon Center !
>Wave to the Starlys.>The starly all chatter their loud goodbye at you.
>"Sorry for the trouble !"
>Go back.
> Do all the process to replenish our pokemon.>You head inside and leave the pokemon with the nurse. It'll be a few minutes.
>Watch the screen thing.
> Deja vu...>You watch the screen, it seems to be another news broadcast.
>Head to receive our team.>You retrieve your three pokemon.
> Huh... they said that they ADVICE to not get closer to the mines... but that doesn't mean we can't help, isn't it?>You're not sure, you guess you could help.
>Wonder if it would be okay to display our abilities in this place... Maybe the others have already done it before. It's really believable that Cirno could have...>You wonder if it would be okay...
>Resolve to call up Yuyuko or someone from Gensokyo and question the availability of using our abilities.
> Let our pokemon out.>You let out your three pokemon.
>Could Myon fit in our top?>Nope. But she could hide in your skirt...
>>If not, just float it away from view while still near us, if we can.
>That's too embarrassing...
>Just do the other alternative listed.
>We'll try it in private later. To see if it's acceptable elsewhere...>You decide to experiment later.
>> But for the lulz, just try have Myon under our skirt. How do we think it looks like?
>"You guys all rested up? Lets get going.">Nero, Floe, and your Unnamed Staravia nod.
>Head out and have Myon regroup with us.
>Head away from the town/Head to somewhere fairly secluded and call Yuyuko.>You head back to Route 202 and call Yuyuko.
>"Hello Yuyuko-sama. It sounds like you're doing well. I wanted to know if you could ask Yukari about our abilities, and if it's okay to use them out here.">"Owh, hah Owmoo." You actually hear her swallow on the other side, "Yes, I've been doing fine. And sure, I'll ask."
>"And uh... everyone keeps staring at my Phantom half... it's hard to hide it...">Yuyuko giggles, "Well if I was there, I could hide it in my mouth..."
>"Nn... I'll try to be alright then...">"Very well. Need me for anything else, Youmu dear?"
>"Not at the moment Yuyuko-sama. Please take care.">"Goodbye. And you too."
>"Ah man... I really wanna train with you guys with danmaku, but even using Myon, it won't be that acceptable...">Your pokemon all tilt their heads at you.
>Fire a shot of danmaku to the ground, then have Myon do so as well.>Both of you fire a shot of danmaku on the ground, causing Staravia to jump a bit.
>Have Myon float near Staravia.>You have Myon float next to the bird. It looks at your phantom half with curiosity.
>"This is danmaku. There can be much, much more than just that, and they appear in beautiful patterns when used right. They can float seemingly unaffected by gravity as well, even when they're slow.">Staravia seems to be listening.
>Look to Staravia.
>"That's why they're fantastic practice for honing one's dodging skills. Myon could probably outlast you trying to attack it thanks to this."
> "So, Staravia... about a name for you...">He tilts his head.
>"How about... Sora?"//Since the player base has shrunk to 3, and two are in agreement of Sora, I will accept it.
>How much does our danmaku hurt? Can we make weaker or stronger shots? Of varying sizes and speeds?>Danmaku hurts a bit, but it's generally non-lethal. (Fairies and plant life being the exceptions)
>How many danmaku can we create at once?>You can create a rather large amount, moreso if you're using a spellcard.
>What's the weakest we can make our danmaku? Can Myon's have the same properties as ours (weakness, speed, etc)?>The weakest you can make it is to have the pain be equivalent to being shocked by a doorknob.
>"How would you like to go up against it Sora?">Sora shrugs.
>How visible is this area to bystanders who happen to wander here? Are we secluded well?>You are right in the middle of the road...
>...Maybe we could say it's another pokemon in disguise.>You head a bit off the beaten path.
>Head to a more secluded area.
> Once we are in a particularly clear to Sora fly and not thuking himself in any tree, stop.>You reach a clearing.
> "Okay." Turn to him. "I'm gonna fire bullets at you and you'll have to dodge them. Don't worry about if you get hurt, I'll make them the less hurtful I can to begin with. Got it?"
>"Or rather, Myon's gonna fire them. They won't hurt that much though. We'll start off easy.">Sora nods, before taking to the air.
>Scan the area.>Nobody is around, so you have Myon take to the air.
>If we're clear, have Myon float up there as well.
>"Ready Sora?">he nods.
> Make Myon fire a set of three slow bullets at Sora.>You have Myon do so.
> Immediately after shoot another set of three danmaku bullets. Average speed this time.>You do so. Sora once again dodges with ease.
> Repeat. High speed.
>Don't do that yet.>Myon fires a laser, and Sora easily dodges it.
>"Stay focused Sora."
>Instead, have Myon fire a weak and slow laser.
> Just activate dem cheat codes to Myon fire at ULTRA speed like she knows to!
>"Is this too easy for you? We can go much harder.">Sora squawks.
>"Alright!">You have Myon do so.
>Have Myon fire off one of our non-spells openers, where two spreads form ahead of us then towards our back, firing out towards Sora.
>Watch warmly.>Sora manages to get through.
>"Very good Sora! You're a natural at this! You can come down if you want to.">Sora lands near you.
>Pet him.>Sora chirps happily.
>"Good job, i'm sure that together we will have an great future !"
> "Alright. SInce Sora tried...">Nero shrugs.
> Look at the other two.
> "... want you to try too?"
>Have Myon float nearer to Floe.>Floe keeps her eyes on Myon.
>"So? Ah, actually, we should probably do scenarios where the enemy could get behind you, or have the higher ground. Or even move faster than you."
> "I'm a bit concerned if Sora has to fight in a space where he can't fly around freely... We must fix that ASAP.">You start heading even farther from the road into an area where the trees are dense.
> Search for the a part of the forest with more thickness of trees.
> "This seems to be a good place...">Your pokemon obey.
> "Sora, Nero, can you come here? Let's make a test."
> Have Myon get nearer too.
> "Okay. Nero, you'll attack Sora when I say you to. Sora, you'll try your best to dodge in this close space that is not the best for you, got it?">They nod.
> Get away a bit and then face Sora with Nero near us.>You give your command and Nero starts tacking Sora, who simply flies straight vertically...
> "Alright... I'm going to start, Sora..."
> Wait some seconds.
> "... Use tackle!"
> "Why did you think I made Myon approach too?">You have Myon start firing with no pattern in particular.
> Make Myon start firing towards Sora.
> Is he now near the ground, at least in Nero's range? If so.>You have Myon start firing curved patterns, you notice Sora pausing for longer to find an opening.
>> "Tackle!"
> If not, then make Myon start firing a curvy pattern, instead of straight forward bullets.
> Watch what he do.>Sora begins to weave through, slower this time.
> Is possible for Myon or us to make really weak danmaku look powerful? Like, trick our foes?>The strength of Danmaku does not depend on its appearance.
>"Wanna join Floe?">Floe nods, then points at Myon, then points to herself, and fires a few bubbles at the nearest tree.
>Have Myon fire so that Sora is forced to descend. Make sure it's still in an appealing pattern.>You have Myon fire a dense pattern that slowly moves towards the ground. Forcing Sora to descend.
>"You want to fire against Myon?" Point to Floe, then to Myon. "Or do you want her to fire towards you?" Point to Myon, then to Floe.>Floe shakes her head to both.
>"Oh.">Floe nods.
>Turn for a moment.
>"You two keep it up."
>Squat down to Floe.
>"Alright, so you wanna try patterns? How fast can you fire out bubbles?"
>"Try as much as you can against that tree.">Floe nods and begins firing bubbles, attempting to make simple patterns with them, but failing.
>Point to the tree she was firing at.
>Glance towards Myon's group.>As soon as you look over, Sora gets clipped in the wing by Myon's danmaku, and Nero seizes the opportunity to land a tackle on his underside, sending him up into the main stream of danmaku, which pelts him repeatedly before he's knocked to the ground.
> Look at Floe.>Floe's bubbles have not changed.
> "Keep going."
> Approach and check Sora.
>Have Myon stop of course.>You have Myon stop firing and go to check on your Staravia.
>"Maybe that was too much... no opponent will probably fire at you for that long...">Sora slowly gets up and nods.
>"But you still did great. You dodged for longer and better than I thought you would. I-I don't mean to say I didn't think you'd do good. I-I know you would've.">Sora gives a weak, but happy chirp.
> "Okay, now rest. I will bring you to the Pok?mon Center soon.">You have Sora return
> Make Sora enter his pokeball.
>Check on Floe.>Floe's bubbles haven't changed. You can see growing frustration in her face.
>Put a hand gently on Floe.>You put a hand on her, it seems to calm her a little.
>"Hey, calm down a bit Floe. You don't need to put in all your effort. So, the bubbles won't move differently after you use them, right?"
>How does it feel when we fire a curving shot? How do we do it?>...
>"What you should do if you want to keep trying, is to just try one bubble at a time. Try to will it to curve, even in just a bit. Be patient with yourself though. How about you give it a try now?">Floe nods, before shooting the bubbles one at a time.
>"Did you notice that one Floe? You almost had it. Don't rush yourself now.">Floe blinks, before you pet her. She resumes at your command.
>Pet her.
>"You can go again."
>"You're getting it. Try a bit harder now.">Floe nods.
>"You're getting it Floe.">Floe chirps happily
>"Go for it again.">You watch Floe concentrate and fire again. The frequency of curving shots seems to go up a little.
>"Hm?">Nero is looking at you curiously. He seems a little bored.
>Turn and squat to Nero.
>"Yes Nero?"
> "You want to do something, aren't you?">Nero mews.
> Look back at Floe.>Floe looks at Nero.
> "Hey Floe, wanna train with Nero?"
> "Okay. Try what you were doing with the tree, but this time with Nero. Nero, I want you to dodge everything that Floe throws at you. Later we will work in your attacks.">Floe nods, before firing at Nero.
> Did the bubbles seem to be in a curvy pattern?>Occasionally.
> "Continue. Concentrate in wanting it to be curved.">Floe nods.
> "Why don't you try to make each bubble go to different directions?">Floe concentrates harder.
> "Hm? Yes, that's it! Like that!">Floe continues to fire, the frequency of curved shots is increasing. Nero is still having an easy time sidestepping it, though.
> Keep encouraging Floe. We can focus with Nero after this.>You keep encouraging her until eventually, all of the bubbles curve in the same direction. Nero jumps only out of the way, only for Floe to shift the trajectory so that they curve towards where the shinx will land.
> Be impressed.
> "T-That was... amazing..."
>"E-Eceptional even!">Floe beams at your praise as best as she can, she looks exhausted.
> Pet Floe.>She replies with a tired chirp.
> "Great job. See? Told you were capable of doing it."
> Look at Nero and beckon him.>Nero looks battered. He mews at you.
> "How are you doing?"
> "You want to rest or you want to start right away with some training?">Nero shakes his head.
> "...? Excuse me, guys..."
> Look who's calling.
>"Ha... So glad it's not the other one...">INCOMING CALL FROM: DAWN
>Look.
> Answer.>You pick up the phone.
> "Hello?"
>"The mines right? I haven't made it yet.">"Yeah, the mines... Be careful when you get there, okay...?"
> "I was thinking... if I'm able to help that people...">"Maybe if you had strong enough pokemon? Though, the authorities are handling it... so I doubt they'll let you near easily..."
> "I'll try my best if I can help. If I can't... then I guess I'll have to drop it...">"Alright. Well, good luck then.... So, you should be almost at the Oreburgh Gate now, right? Or did you decide to sightsee in Jubilife for a bit?"
> "I'm currently training with my pokemon. Maybe later I can go there.">"Ah, okay.... By the way, how is your Piplup doing, her name is Floe, right? And did you catch any new pokemon since I showed you how?"
> "Oh! Yes, Dawn.">Nero smiles at you.
> Look at Nero.
> "Only a bit after you told me how to do it, I captured a Shinx. I named him Nero. There's also a Staravia. It's name is Sora."
>> "Tl;dr?"
> "I think it's a good idea to go to that route 204...">"Alright. So, is there anything you need to ask me? If not then I'll just leave you be."
> "You have a lucky egg? You know, to make this easy peasy lemon squeezy."
> Ponder if we have any forgotten question>You ponder...about our existence.
> "I'm fine. I think I can handle things.">"Alright. Bye then. And good luck on your adventure!"
>"B-... Oh, she left first...">Nero mews.
>Put it away properly.>You stow the phone
>Look to Nero.
> "So... You guys don't mind having another possible pokemon friend with us?">Both of your pokemon shake their heads.
> "Let's go.">Seems like it's mid afternoon
> Time?
> Are we in need of any basic necessity?>You're a little hungry, but otherwise fine.
> Return to the Pokemon Center and do all the process of healing.>You make your way back to Jubilife and get your pokemon healed.
> Let all of our pokemon out if they aren't already.>Sora shakes his head.
> "Hey guys, any of you are hungry?"
> ... Do we know what these creatures eat?>...No.
> Check inventory for any missing food that Yukari left to us.>You were not given any food.
> If there isn't any food in the backpack...>You begin wandering the city, seeing something that looks like a restaurant eventually.
> "... What can we eat?"
> Look everywhere, looking for a place that sells food.
>Head over to them.>You make your way over to the stands.
>Scout out prices.//Every time I think you lost interest and left you just keep showing up lol.
> Look at our friends.>All your pokemon vocalize.
> "What would you guys like to eat?"
> "Tell me what you prefer, and I might afford it.">Nero sniffs the air and turns towards one of the stands selling meat.
> Well then, let's see the prize of the meat and poffins.>You head towards the stand Nero was looking at. Which is the burger and hot dog stand
> "Uhm...">You have (http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/8c/Pok%C3%A9monDollar.png)1080 on hand.
> How much money do we have, again?
>What kind of place is this in where Lemonade costs more than meat...
>What kind of place is this in where Lemonade costs more than meat...>Perhaps it's high quality lemonade?
>Maybe we could get a platter of poffins for the two and two dogs or a burger for Nero.>You consider your options.
> So be it. All for the well being of our pokemon...>The lady nods, "And what kind of poffins would you like on the platter?"
> "A platter, please."
>100% Lemonade. It's top percentage!
>> "It's gonna make me or them be in the top percentage of rattatas, right?"
>"Oh. What would you guys like?">You turn around to see your pokemon gone.
>Look to our pokemon.
> Summon the RNGODS and hack our pokemon to be shiny.
