Thanks~
Do you have an plans to ever go professional with your work someday, like with gaming art asset creation or something?
I don't know about going pro, although I've already had several people asking for comissions and been invited to a couple of fan made games, at the end I have to decline because I have other priorities, so I keep it as just a hobby for now, future will tell.

Taking a look back at this, I also want to ask you if you had some sort of to-do list because I don't think we know how close you are to being 'done', as you put it, and if you're plans are coming along as you want.

Actually, yes, I have a list of things I want to make for myself, there are a few things left:

-A couple of touhou HD concept sprites(just single non-animated sprites), of Marisa and Mokou.
-An animation of Fate stay Night Excalibur with effects, already started.
-a pixel-art background of the judgment hall of undertale, (different from the one in the game of course, with a lot more detail and better perspective), I already started drawing it.
-3 other pixel-art backgrounds, these are touhou related, but I haven't started any.
-modelling 1 background in 3D, the Unlimited Blade Works reality marble, I already started, but it has been on hold for a while.

And there's another thing, this is the real deal, which is a full set of sprites for Alice in HD, different from her already existing tasofro big-headed chibi low-res style used in the touhou games,  and going for a well proportioned Alice & close to arcsys style (think in games like Blazblue, Under Night in Birth, Guilty Gear,...) I have a couple of animations, but they're not detailed yet as I haven't decided for the final style, also have to come up with a totally different gameplay from the one she has in the touhou fighters.

This last one is a long term project, so I'll go to requests for a while once I'm done with 2-3 of the 4 pixel-art backgrounds.

There can be a few things in between I could make, like that gastly animation was an extra thing that I made for a pokemon themed contest but didn't have planned.

Very nice, thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions, and especially thanks for sharing that to-do list and the progress you've made on some. Also, that full set of HD Alice sprites sounds absolutely amazing. I'm already blown away by the detail of the games you mentioned with that kind of intricate sprite-work, so seeing Ms. Maragatroid get treatment like that would be so dang stellar, truly.

Seems like this work is the kind that would take a long time for you to complete, so I'll gladly wait patiently and see what comes, so I'm really looking forwards to these; and ultimately, I know from the quality of the work so far it will be a true marvel. Best regards to ya, and thank you for the work you've done thus far, I enjoy it very much so. ^^
I'm a decade-old Touhou Project fan. I heavily advocate for what's obscure and less popular in this series such as the PC-98 era, not-often-heard ZUN music, and the much of unpopular/unused characters.

That blast animation is just breathtaking to look at. The visual effects like the glow are really appealing. The animation also looks smooth, what frame rate did you use or have used in all your animated sprites? I'm guessing this is going to be used in a game, and I'm still wondering what would it be used for and how it would look like...

That's set to 25 frames per second.
It was just practice but looking at it again, could be used as an alternative for a hourai doll spellcard, although I'd need to add more details to match the rest of the FX.

Last Word FX 'The Grimoire'. Planned 2 last words, this one to be specifically triggered against pc-98 characters.
Preview not final, resized to 66%.

My eyes might be deceiving me but that middle ring that's orthogonal to the ground seems a little higher than the center.

yeah, I noticed.
those two effects are part of a series of (slightly old) scrapped stuff that I made open source at some other places, since I'm making better ones already there's not much point in fixing it.

IDK if someone here would find this kind of stuff useful, but here are the links anyway.

For a last word, need to correct the axis of the spell a bit.
