Can someone please explain how an Akali loses lane to Veigar?

Dosen't Akali just jump on and instajib Veigar as soon as she hits Lv 6, and then repeat it every time she's in lane?

CC with Event Horizon? Sure, you can dash through it, but you have to time it really well.

event horizon's max range is literally longer than anything akali can do

akali can try to cs with her q and veigar can still stun her

I conclude that Darius is brutal if he gets to you and is stupid easy to kite/CC down so he doesn't.  In short, he relies on the team being dumb, which is never good, but he's pretty crazy fun if they don't run like hell.
