Oh god 1h 30 min long game. After an epic last stand i lost with only their Ezreal alive, we had been defending at our base for like half an hour. Hamn i wanted all of that IP if i would have won.

Well if they kept their towers and killed off the enemy every time they came near they could have turtled up and fed off the gold and minion waves.

So after spending so long finding a tank that I like to play, I now need to find an assasin that I like to play. I tried Akali and I think I might get her, but what other assassins are there? (Besides Fizz and Talon)

Shaco, Katarina, and Kassadin fit the criteria I believe.

akali is kind of difficult though as she has a lot of non-ideal lane match ups. she's also has a high entry bar since she needs a specific rune/mastery page.

also I can't wait until they remove dodge. four guaranteed kills last night got reversed on me because I couldn't proc akali's q.

Trundle <3 He is so fun to play. That utility plus that he is a mean jungler and a freaking troll. Start with that Vamp Scepter and you will never have to recall, unless you need to get some items or something.

I do not think this second part is quite true, at least at lower-level play.  it might be at higher level but oh god she sure is doing that Horrific Abuse Of Other People thing in level 11 games.

but at 30+ she really needs them to be effective

also your team comp is so sub-30 ;p

do sub-30 teams follow the meta at all(sustain character top, mages mid, support/ranged ad bot, jungler) or is it a crapshoot like when I was leveling

Kind of.  If there's a support, it seems very common for them to be smart enough to go bottom, but whether or not they're running with someone who'll take full advantage of it is questionable.  The match I mentioned... I ended up bottoming with a Talon (formerly Lux who was stupid enough to change and later went "I knew I should've kept with Lux I know how to actually play her") who didn't focus on the minions at all when it's kinda his job when he's with a support to get the last hits...

But yeah, generally, a mage takes mid lane, and two go bottom (Whether there's an actual support down there is random).  Whether there's a jungler is an extreme crapshoot; if not, you'll get a dual top lane instead and the players will occasionally dart into the woods to grab a particular buff they need or (even rarer) go do dragon.


EDIT: In other news, Armor of the Fifth Age Taric is absolutely FABULOUS

also taric is fabulous in general

I rarely see any sort of meta cohesion in normals as I leveled.

It used to be all squishy carries and mages, Now it's all Tanky DPS.

it's too hard to secure a kill mid because of the short tower distance

it's also better to have a level advantage at mid because of the easy gank access to both side-lanes and stuff. ap mid became popular because ap character scale with levels hard, so the higher level ganks from them were more effective than ganks from like, ashe or caitlyn. also the easy access to blue is really effective for ap mids

also the solo mid would eventually outlevel the duo mid and be able to bully them around easy(champions depending), especially because it's so hard to actually get that kill early in mid, so the enemy mid can just hang at their tower and farm relatively safely

</3 Jungle changes... I have to agree with Ryuu... I'm always behind(both level and gold) unless I spend all the time in the jungle farming. While I don't necessarily think that reducing the barrier of entry, reduced respawn, etc. is bad but I do think the exp and gold rewards are way too low especially since they scale up with time. Ganking is really risky.

I was really enjoying jungling.... Maybe I'll go back to support for a while until they fix it. Or maybe get better at carries.

This. Except me with Lux every game. Teams are definitely smarter than they were back then. Or there could just be an influx of smurfs... :derp:

Played as Sona again. Did pretty well except at one point late game I got ganked a few times by Talon in like two hits and thought "damn am I that squishy?" Then I checked the scoreboard and saw that everyone was level 18 while I was 13 :V

I went "brb getting creeps" but right after that we won so w/e :V


Also I went out of my way to ward Baron and Dragon but no one on either team bothered with anything remotely jungle related. At one point I was even like "welp since no one else seems to care, time to get Blue hell yess!"

and then I died :V

last night I jungled as shyvana and kept my jungle pretty much empty. I also had a few ganks resulting in kills

Anyone with a buff and is squishy/underleveled almost instantly becomes a focus target. As a support champ with a buff you wanna play hella defensively and always be hanging around one of your teammates.
