Puzzle & Dragons is an ios/android puzzle RPG.  It plays like a cross between Bejeweled and Pok?mon.  It's completely free to play, but has premium features through purchasable "magic stones," the game's premium currency (which can also be obtained occasionally as rewards in-game), which allow increased inventory, pulls from a rare egg machine, and more.  If you're patient enough the game gives you enough stones through special events and rewards that you shouldn't need to buy any.  (It's recommended you don't because you are almost guaranteed to be super frustrated at getting screwed by bad rolls ;_;)

You can control monsters from lowly slimes to mighty dragons  to even gods like Isis (above).  They all have different stats and skills, allowing you to customize your team for any number of purposes.

If you're interested, there's a really useful database of monsters and game info here: http://www.puzzledragonx.com/

A tip for new players: At the end of the tutorial the game will give you one free pull on the rare egg machine.  It's best to "scum" this pull and start over (by uninstalling and reinstalling) until you get something that's really rare, like a 5-star beastie or a god.  Great starters include any of the Chinese Gods, Ares, Bastet, Horus, Isis, Idunn & Idunna, Hermes, Archangel Lucifer, Odin, Loki, Persephone, Parvati, Batman, and many others.  Feel free to ask!

Nebradisk's dungeon is a complete joke.  Throw on some dark resist and a Lucifer friend and sleep through the whole thing.

If you're running healer/odin, you have to have a beefy enough team to get through the first five waves.  After that it becomes much easier.

Yeah for healer/Odin or resist/Odin the first few stages, actually the first few turns, are the hardest since you need to try and melt a dude or two while waiting for your first heartmaker to come online.

It's definitely possible to get orb screwed though on Round One, I did my first try  :ohdear:

Personally, I went with Chaos Devil Dragon lead and Odin, using dual Sirens, Rainbow Keeper, and a Dark Golem mk II. If I could survive the first few turns, I would just stall until everything came up, then CDD nuke + Gungnir clears everything that isn't a mystic knight.

Got to ceres this time.

Having a no skillup echi is hard. Her delay is so useful.

hera ZERO-STONED... on the second try since I forgot neptune on the first.

I could've won that one anyway if I managed to get my HP back to full before hades hit though! >>...

I'm not ready this time.  My blue team needs to level up for more HP, and my Devil Dragon isn't chaos yet so Hades would laugh at friend Odin.  Next time I though, I might stand a chance.  This is how the squad looks right now:
IDP +6 * lv 42
Bluebird Blues lv24
Demon Orochi lv26
Siren EOTS lv22
FKK +4 lv 20
Friend CDHermes +19 1A lv64

Life and death are without purpose.  Our attempts to give them one are quite presumptuous of us.  But in the end, we exist, and that is enough.

This'll help. Just look under todays schedule and figure out your group. You can adjust it based on time zone.

Definitely not ready this time around. Tried twice and got wrecked big time. I need to try something that isn't mono-dark (because Lucifer's HP/RCV boost)+Odin rofl

I wonder if I could go for Nebradisk though? It looks pretty great, but seems kinda rough...

EDIT: wait what do you mean it's not even in the english version yet why even bother :s

Matsy: MAY I SUGGEST LUCI LUCI BV

No seriously, all you really really want for a luci for this is siren and a poisoner. The rest is just RKs.

Even without a poisoner if you're willing, you could just run RKs alongside the siren.

I don't have any of those though :v

Really I'm gonna sit Hera out for now and focus on Nebradisk instead. Triangles, would you mind tossing your Ares up for a little while? My dark/fire team would appreciate its help. :3

What I'm thinking is:
Seraph of Dawn, Lucifer as lead
Keeper of Dark for HP and defense when needed (normally I run Keeper of Rainbow in my mono-dark set but since I'm going to be doing something else I need the cost)
Dub-mythlit because okay HP and ATK and low cost
Echidna for Menace
Phoenix Knight for Fire Orb Change, mostly to fuel
Triangles' Ares, which will provide a massive boost to HP and ATK for everyone.

I'm well aware I probably can't no-stone this, but I really don't mind since Nebradisk's ability is pretty sweet and I want it.

(for what it's worth, my current mono-dark team is:
Seraph of Dawn, Lucifer
Keeper of Rainbow
Dub-Mythlit
Dub-Mythlit
[insert whatever here, currently Pierdra because hearts]
and then a suitable friend (preferably Triangles' Ares or Loki or Thanatos or Batman friends) )

Unfortunately, it wouldn't work (on legend, anyway).  You need to attack 9 times a round to beat him, which means assuming a mono-dark team you need 3 monsters with dual element at a minimum.  Unfortunately, Luci himself doesn't count as the dungeon has no light orbs.

I'll be doing Master since I don't have enough max stamina for Legend. (40% is still a good chance...)

I don't mind if I have to use a couple stones to win, honestly. It's a hell of a lot better than some of the rare egg pulls I've had <_<;

Just popped him up, and after I fed him my red santa dragon too ohoho.  I had Odin up most of the day, so hopefully anyone who wanted to try and needed him got a shot if not let me know and we'll play musical chairpuzzlemons again :V

I do not suggest it unless you really have more cash than you know what to do with.. it's 5 bucks a pull, and even during godfests it's not uncommon to not get a single god after 4 pulls....But if you ever ever do spend money on this game, I would say now would be the time to do so for sure =P.

Evolved Bane can kill Nebra. When I'm done farming Hera (1-stone because I get lazy and don't erase as many non-hearts as I need to) I'll start in on him.
