After a four-week Touhou hiatus, I opened up SA and managed consecutive timeouts of Flying Insect's Nest and BoWaP (Double Black Death Butterfly still eludes me). Glad to know that my skills haven't completely decayed.

Now back to hibernation...

What's that safespot on Izuna Gongen? Everytime I was somewhere that looked safe Ran was really far away and I barely did any damage.
Or better yet, how do you make her not move so much that the last phase completely goes to hell?

Answer to both questions:Sit directly below her and hope

But yeah getting a safespot or not is a bit of luck. You'll probably be inside bullets too, but they all have small hitboxes so.

I just wish the safespot was consistent. Getting pacifist runs ruined just because I can't duplicate this is complete suck. I have no idea how I managed to get the attack going that way just so I could misdirect it.

Cave currently has a lot of my shmup interest thanks to Deathsmiles and Futari. A lesser bit due to ESPGaluda II. But Touhou is still great too.

Hm? Are you playing the 360 versions? I don't believe Futari was released for MAME...:/

Also managed to make it up to Shou in UFO Hard today without game overing! A 1cc shouldn't be too far off, if I can get enough bombs for Byakuren.

Of course it's 360 versions. Deathsmiles, Futari, and ESPGaluda II can't even be emulated.

Though I wouldn't have a problem with them being able to be since more people could play them then.

Yay! I finally finished MS's Extra with Mima! It's my first clear, actually

Honestly, I'd have finished it earlier, but for some reason my anex86 simply makes bullets turn invisible when there are too many of 'em on the screen.

You can imagine how it would look on Alice's final attack.

Futari was like November of last year. It's region free. ESPGaluda II, was I think February, though I only got it recently. It's also region free, but only on the standard edition.

And of course Deathsmiles came out in the US at the end of last month.

I haz Wii, my bro PS3 and 360. I play the PS2 all the time, but never the other 3, cause my PS2 game library > our Wii, PS3 and 360 libraries combined. Like, 5 RPGs between the 3 consoles, while I have at LEAST 15 for the PS2. RPGs and Touhou are all I play.

Today I realized that I had downloaded Phantasm Romance and had it for months (I only got it because I wanted Reimu's boss theme and forgot about the rest). I gave it a go, and sightread Another Mode up until Mima. It was quite fun by danmakufu standards until Suika and Mima began shooting surprise attacks that spawned bullets on top of me.

Oh, yeah. Finally beat Mokou, bringing the total number of extra stage bosses I've beaten to 3. It boiled down to capturing her first 5 spell cards which was a total fluke, then acting like I knew what I was doing on the remaining ones and doing a shoddy job of that. Seriously, I entered Phoenix's Tail on such a good note and it was almost too messy after that. Still beat her though. Jelly doughnuts tomorrow morning for breakfast.

Really? Even on the worst of my runs i always drag at least 1.5 billion out of it. Even my initial clear i did 2 years ago had a score of about 950 million.
