Oh hell...we'll never get it right, because nobody knows what goes inside ZUN's head.
This voice...sounds like a drunken loli. Is that you, Suika?

Knowing ZUN the last stage will be on the bottom of the ocean or some unrelated place like that.

Or maybe the PC will be gapped to Area 51.

I don't care what anyone says, I'm hoping for another appearance by Chiyuri and Yumeme. This is the perfect opportunity for them to come back again since they were also mistaken as a UFO of sorts.

im not sure whether i want to see returning characters in UFO. sure, Yumemi and Chiyuri could fit well into the plot, but i'd much rather see new characters for the fanbase to do awesome and weird shit with.

I wouldn't object to a Yumemi or Chiyuri comeback, either. Or even Sariel.

Ah memories. I remember being up all night that night, watching one person after another on Pooshlmer being like "cmon the festival doors have been open NINE HOURS NOW why hasn't someone uploaded it yet???", followed by a lot of fake torrents getting posted. I gave up, went to bed, and as I was lying there I thought, "Eh, might as well give it another look", and went to Pooshlmer via mobile phone. And there I saw that between the time I turned off my comp and got into bed, an explosion of "OMG ITS REAL! ITS REAL! THE TORRENT IS REAL! YOSH! UPPING IT NOW TO MEDIAFIRE!" had erupted.

Maybe I'm not cynical enough, but I think it's pretty cool how some random soul in Japan posts a torrent on his obscure blog and it initiates a chain reaction reaching across the globe.

Why does it say: Full: August 14, 2009 (Comiket 76)
On the release date on the UFO page at the wiki when the Comiket page states that Touhou will be in the eastern halls on the second day?
http://www.comiket.co.jp/info-c/C76/C76genre.html

Wouldn't it have to be released August 15th in that case? Also I wonder if it will take a crapload of time for UFO to hit the stores like White Canvas or if going Comiket hunting is the only way.

Yup. And I'll be up all night F5ing a number of forums, waiting.

By the way - remember back when the only image we had of Nazrin was her sprite from the screenshot on ZUN's blog? Anyone have any copies of the art that was generated from that?

That still does not explain if it is going to be released on the 14th or 15th. Which is the real date? >_>

I take it that the comiket site must be right and the date on the wiki is wrong?

Well, the 15th is a holiday, isn't it? That would make the 14th more likely.

Yeah the 15th is a Saturday. But as written in that comiket link I posted earlier it seems that a whole myriad of tables are booked for Touhou related things at the 15th. And Comiket ranges from 14-16, so I find this really confusing.

There's only one solution - stay on the internet from the time the doors open until the full release is available. Have three days' worth of food ready. Pee in a bottle. No sleeping!

Well thing is that I'll be in Japan during Comiket, so I'm trying to clear out which day I'd have to go there to get Touhou. I don't have time to stay around and look at other stuff since I have a railpass to use up too. So I was thinking I'd be able to grab a copy of UFO and head away straight afterwards.

Don't the Comiket organizers have contact info?

I have no idea. I haven't been there before. I was kinda hoping that people on the boards here would know a lot about it.

and wait until the screenshots start appearing in imageboards. More likely, only after the ex-stage boss is shown, there will be torrents.

(this reminds me of how disappointed I was when I saw that it didn't take them more than a day to enable MoF's Extra Stage)

edit: I think that the wiki is indeed mistaken..
using translation tools on that page, ホール別ジャンル配置 means "hall arranged by genre", and the 東方 entries are indeed listed within day 2..

in the table above, the one entry that contains 東方 within day 1 is listed within 音楽(洋楽・邦楽) which was translated as "music", while the day 2 one belongs to the Touhou category (!), including arranges as well. Note that I'm not reliant on translation tools, but this is convincing enough to me, at least.

Translations.
How much time do you guys think it will take for HM to be translated? Besides everyone's story modes and the whole menus, there's also the fact that the way HM's programmed is different from all other games. I bet it'll take two months.

lusvik: I don't mind about playing HM in japanese. The language of punching other people is international.

I remember when I first saw SA-EX stage. It was the Moriya Shrine. Everyone who saw the picture said "Pft, yeah right, nice Shoop". Such comments continued to appear through Sanae until Koishi showed up. It was definitely a night worth of the biggest "HOLY CRAP!"
