Okay so Matsuri and I have been watching Utena together for a while and we've just finished Episode 21. From what I've heard from the internet grapevine, we're in the middle of the Black Rose arc, and soon come the mindscrews, until the finale of Episode 39. Hooray!
Also Matsuri wants to post some stuff in this thread that will make me die of laughter.

Oh Utena. So many fond memories of this series. Hm... Where are you. I know the Shadow Puppets are getting even more awesome now, and has the Onion Prince shown up. I thought that was pretty amusing.
Alright, pulling out my DVDs. Time to figure this out.

It's still my favorite anime. And I still need to get that Rose Crest tattoo someday. :V
(And yeah, 21 is near the end of the Black Rose arc. 24 is technically the last episode of the arc, but it's recap, albeit [i[amazingly hilarious[/i] recap and worth every minute.)

Say hello to Anthy (http://anthy.sourceforge.jp/), a Japanese input system that is for Linux. The name "Anthy" was taken right from the Anthy from Utena. I have absolutely no idea why, but I find that pretty cute. Also grounds to say that Utena is pretty damn popular there.
Now that I think about it, the story of Utena and Asellus' Story in SaGa Frontier are insanely similar.

Ben - More than one person has said that. And yet, the roses are among the least brain-hurty things in this series.
M - I'm assuming the roses are a warning to get out before you get to that other stuff.
(Me) - I should watch Utena again too. I should also get that rose crest tattoo I've wanted for ages someday when I'm not unemployed.
Seth - Utena is basically the Fight Club of anime. Well, only in the sense that I like them both a lot. What does it compare better too .... Memento? Sunset Boulevard?

Matsuri and I had an... Agreement, in which I'd watch the first 3 episodes of Utena in exchange for Matsy watching the first episode of Ika Musume. I watched up to five (and I wanna watch Nanami in six, but it's late!), so maybe I'll discuss with you some time.
Also: Everyone in this show is fucking creepy. Except for Wakaba, she's cool.
