Steam Summer Sale is on now, and our wallets cry out for mercy, but there is none, for the Gaben is terrible and absolute.
Glory, amen.
Old thread (https://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,11344.0.html).
-
Neptunia RB 1 and 2 are $8.99 right now along with the there DLCs being half off get them while they're hot.
-
Agh, fine, FINE! You win this round Gaben. Just haaaad to have Neps on sale, didn't you?
-
I got away with Escape Goat 1 + 2, Battleblock Theater, Apotheon, and a few other games. I would have gotten RB1 if didn't already own it on the Vita.
...Part of me is somewhat guilty for not picking up Lego Jurassic World on sale, but I'll live without. :V
-
I got Neptunia RB 1 DLC, Neptunia 2 DLC (due to a friend of my mine gifted me RB 2 today), the new DLC for 100% Orange Juice, The Albino Hunter (which is $0.19 at the moment if you like RPGmaker games and it was also gifted to me), and soon I'll get Child of Light as soon as the PRICE DROPS BACK DOWN due to it got booted up a bit or Skyborn and call it a day, strange that Rime Berta hasn't gone on Steam Summer Sale yet...
-
I got prison archie-tech because though I don't generally like supporting early access games, at -85%, I kinda doubt it will ever get much cheaper.
I'm thinking about getting xenonauts too. The only reason why I haven't yet is because I only have 30 bucks free on me atm cuz I just blew most of it on my mom's birthday, and I'm not sure if I wanna spend half of what I got left on xenonauts. I probably will if and when I see the next flash sale has nothing I want.
Oh yeah, I got creeper world 3 as well.
edit: bought xenonauts, played it for 40 mins and am requesting a refund.. game just doesn't work for me. Cover is completely unexplained and when you hide behind it you can't see anything so it doesn't really act like cover.. ok well maybe they are walls not cover.. so I move out in the open just to see enemies..and.. SOMETIMES I can see what lies ahead... sometimes not... I even moved in the middle of an empty room and I still get a black room with no LOS...this isn't even early access, it's version 1.5-something... I had this issue like 3 times in 40 minutes. nope. you just can't play like that, what a disappointment.
-
So far just picked up *Eden for 60% off.
-
I think I wound up buying about a dozen gifts for people before the first game for myself (Dragon Age Origins as a certain husband of mine sold the game before I beat it way back when :fail:)
SURE LET'S JUST KEEP THAT BACKLOG GROWING all the games I never finished back when I was in college/being a teacher are finally rising to the surface my gaming habits are a fantastic time capsule.
-
ALL RIGHT FINE AMRA YOU WIN I'LL BUY NEPUNEPU
-
Both Neptunia actually got in the Top 20 of Steam sales, and I saw Re;birth 1 at 7th place, that's something.
-
Neptunia is a guilty pleasure series for sure. Many people who mock it do so because they treat it like a pure game. But frankly I think it should be seen as one of those Visual novels with gameplay elements, and as that, it's pretty effing spiffy IMO.
-
If only we could have bought Age3 by itself at that price. (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/43561671/meanwhile_on_gaben_mart.png) (it has since been fixed)
As for me, hm, all I did get was the Payday 2 Alesso Heist. Not much interesting this time around on Steam, but I was tempted quite a bit by GOG's offerings.
-
So the current humble bundle has like a metric fuckton of game making software and resources going on right now. $12 nets you over $1000 worth of stuff if you were to buy it individually at normal price. (https://www.humblebundle.com/)
-
Omg gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawd!!!!! IT'S HAPPENING!!!!! (http://store.steampowered.com/app/351970)
-
Sony's having another Flash Sale - this time with Sci-fi related titles. Don't know what Neptunia has to do with sci-fi, but whatever. If for whatever reason you still haven't gotten Resonance of Fate, you totally should right now - it's only five bucks!

Resonance of Fate is so good GET IT GET IT GET IT.

I really oughta finish that someday.

Hey, Humble Bundle Japan Edition (https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly). Notably contains Gurumin and Neptunia Re;Birth 1.

Fixed that link for you. Whelp, time to drain my bank account again.

-
8 games, I haven't played a single one but that looks like one of the good worms games.. and I enjoyed the original STALKER game alot so getting just those 2 for 2 bucks is a steal already.. only a bit more than a day left though.

New Indie bundle includes Skullgirls with all the DLC, Xenonauts, a couple fun games about robots, and the promise of more to come soon.

Steam is offering a lot of games on sale for Halloween until Nov. 2 get them while you can!
-
In other news, the Steam port of Neptunia Re;Birth 3 is out and 40% off for the release.
-
ARE YOU READY FOR A MIRACLE
-
Calm down, it's only Autumn Sales, Winter Sales if after that.
...Though I'm trying to convince myself, but some deals are already looking great. :derp:
-
(http://i.imgur.com/LkNEgep.png)
Gaben plz even free2play can be on sale.
-
Public notice that all Falcom games (besides TitS SC) are $10 or less right now.
-
Right now it's the Steam Exploration Sale which last until 1st december 10 AM and lot of stuff is on discount.
A few game that caugh my eyes and deserve to be mentionned (maybe?) are :
The Banner Saga, Creeper World 3, Rogue Legacy, Ori and the Blind Forest, Shovel Knight, Freedom Planet, One Way Heroics, many Neptunia games, ...
Ah, you should probably have a look. XD
-
Playism has a sale on right now, one game this community seemed to like was one way heroics, which is currently for sale for 40 cents!.. tehre's a plus sale up too for like 4 bucks but looking at the feature list, I'd be happy with the 40 cent version (I know the original, the plus one I never played but the feature list doesn't really offer more to justify a 1000% cost increase imo).
-
Can't wait for the sale. I hope Witcher 3 is on a good price. I've earned for my new GPU and for this sale. Muh new GTX 970's ready. :^)
-
Can't wait for the Steam sales videos. They're a treat every time.
-
IT BEGINS!
Couldn't access anything though, so I'm going to wait an hour before trying to look at anything again. Heck, it wouldn't even load up my wishlist~ :V

Again? You'd think they woulda figured out how not to do this by now...
-
I skipped the last couple of sales so I'm not sure if I'm behind the times, but since when did Steam do away with Daily/Flash sales and just gave huge discounts throughout the holidays?
Not complaining at all of course, just surprised that so many of the different developers and publishers were apparently on board with it.

Since they implemented their return policy. Due to it, flash sales are likely more hassle than Valve cares to handle.
-
Now that Steam is functional for me, there's a few games I might pick up; going to wait till after Christmas passes first just to make sure...
I'd plug Undertale seeing as it's on sale too, but I know everyone is looking out for their own thing. In either case, look after your wallets~ <3
-
I see a few things I want for RPGmaker and some games I want question is which is good for me...
-
Can't wait for the sale. I hope Witcher 3 is on a good price. I've earned for my new GPU and for this sale. Muh new GTX 970's ready. :^)
It was $20 on GOG last weekish :V

I just bought it now, and started DL'ing it. And lol, the Witcher Trilogy cheaper than the base Witcher 3? Oh Steam...Guess I have 2 free extra games.
-
Two notes;
1- There appears to be no daily deals this Steam Sale. So you might as well get all you want now...
Except...
2- Steam, um, sort of crashed earlier today. And may have revealed account details. More info here. (http://www.theverge.com/2015/12/25/10665814/valve-steam-holiday-sale-security-problems) It's all back to normal now.

Damn Ubisoft, don't tempt me buying this game on full price...
-
Ubisoft Sale, and The Division isn't on sale...
Damn Ubisoft, don't tempt me buying this game on full price...
From what I hear it's generally not a bad idea to wait for the Division to go on sale anyways: what I've been hearing about it is that it's a good shooty game but nothing really to write home about.
-
Always remember: you did without it this long. Just play something else til it IS on sale. I'm practicing that philosophy with Neptunia Re;Birth 2 and it seems to be working so far.
-
Danganronpa 2 for Steam pre-orders are going on right now until April 18 the day of it's release: http://store.steampowered.com/app/413420/
-
Tons of stuff are on sale right now, over the Anime Weekend Sale (http://store.steampowered.com/sale/anime_sale/).
Note that I think prices haven't been updated for all countries yet, because I saw a huge amount of sales for the US, and much less for the EU, so I would wait a bit before going nuts.
EDIT : Nevermind, it updated here too.
-
Having been sitting on some Steam credit for about two months, this sale lets me finally reap the fruits of my patience. Picked up ReBirth 2 and 3, and also Mugen Souls since Id also wanted to try that out as well.
Good sale.
-
Someone convince me to buy the Cape Fulgur bundle, I enjoyed Reccetear but I'm stingy with money.
-
If it has Chantelise in it as well, ive played that and it's a lot of fun. I have faith that anything CF has done is probably 'good' at worst.
-

Usually it does have it.
I want to buy some games that I don't have on my consoles(mostly non-Neptunia games/IF/NIS games), but I don't know what. All I'm seeing worthwhile are VNs, but so many to choose from.
-
I personally thought that Fortune Summoners was better than Chantelise but they were all worth it.
-
I have not gotten to playing Fortune Summoners. I should rectify this next time I have enough credit and there's a sale up.
-
I WOULD have picked up Danganronpa with this sale along with Crypt of the Necrodancer, however this useless person here lost his wallet along with all his money, so..... sheet.
Also, Danganronpa has many endings like Zero Escape correct ? Then is it ok for me to watch a playthrough on an ending of it ?
-
Danganronpa does not have branching paths.
-
Ehh, then i got it wrong, so i guess i'm gonna just watch then ? Since i can't buy it now ?
-
Do not watch. It is much more enjoyable to play.
-
But it's so costy for me.... and i have no more money anymore... could Drunk Edible buy it for me ? :V
Edit: Nevermind, i found my wallet ! It was somehow under the PS3. ??? Doesn't matter, weeeeee !
-
Wow, it's been a while since anyone posted here...Anyways, I recently discovered a neat little site called Chrono.gg (https://chrono.gg/). It's similar to Humble Bundle, but a lot more...Bite-sized. Each day, there's one random game up for a ridiculously low price, so it's worth peeking in each day and seeing if there's something you want! Hope this'll spark a bit more discussion on this thread.
-
If you're looking for two games to buy this time on steam Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus (http://store.steampowered.com/app/411830/) is out and Zero Escape 3 (http://store.steampowered.com/app/311240/) is coming out on Steam June 29.

Some pretty sweet sales for Nintendo digital games for the next 24 hours. (http://e3.nintendo.com/sale/) Link up your account to that newfangled My Nintendo shenanigans for an extra 10% off. Highlights include Wind Waker HD and Virtue's Last Reward, just in time for Zero Escape 3 coming out!

LIMBO is currently free on Steam. (http://store.steampowered.com/app/48000/)
And not free for the week-end, I mean totally free. I don't know for how much time the deal lasts, but it is there.
-
I don't usually note Humble Bundles, but here's the Sonic 25th Anniversary bundle (https://www.humblebundle.com/sonic-25th-anniversary-bundle)
10$ nets you Generations and All Stars Racing Transformed, both of which were fantastic games; and along the way you also get Adventure DX, Adventure 2 Battle, 1, 4, etc etc.
A pretty good deal frankly.

ARE YOU READY FOR A MIRACLE (http://gaben.tv/)
Edit: Zestiria is $20, I should pick that up. Kindred Spirits is 20% off too :V
-
Oh man the most wonderful time of the year!
Once XCOM 2 is on sale I'mma pick it up. Or maybe every time this happens things are done a bit differently and it may or may not be a matter of what day I pick the game up.
ARE YOU READY FOR A MIRACLE (http://gaben.tv/)
Edit: Zestiria is $20, I should pick that up. Kindred Spirits is 20% off too :V
So which games in the Tales series wound up on Steam? I saw Symphonia wind up on there but it got knocked pretty hard for being a mediocre port. I'd like to get back into the series a little but I'm probably limited to Steam stuff and don't know what to look for anymore.
...Or I might rage quit and play Trails in the Sky instead.
-
Sales have been pretty "meh" alongside having no money recently. Was kind of hoping that trend would continue this time as well.
NOPE.
Out of my wishlist top-24:
-16 games are 50%+
-6 are under $5.00
Welp nice knowing you money. :qq: (https://66.media.tumblr.com/510324f6e75e15e6b610c4d0aa7770ed/tumblr_npspfl1abP1upwvwuo1_500.gif)

I WANNA GET MY PHANTOM BREAKER AT 5.99 AND LEVEL 99 DLC FOR 2.99 ALONG WITH PRE-ORDERING PHANTOM BRAVE IS THAT NOT AN OPTION!!!!

Just Symphonia and Zestiria as far as I know. As you said, the Symphonia port sucks. Zestiria's port is fine from what I've read, but I haven't played it yet to verify from experience.
...Or I might rage quit and play Trails in the Sky instead.
Just do that. It and its sequel are among the best RPGs to come out in the last 15 years, and I don't say that lightly. Plus, we're getting the third game in the series localized too!
-

Alright fair enough. Too bad since Symphonia was a must-have for the Gamecube way back when. Trails seems to fly under the radar a bit but has got glowing reviews for a long time.
The new Doom is also like 40% off despite getting real solid reviews and being released all of 6 weeks ago.
-
Phantom Breaker + DLC get and Phantom Brave pre-ordered now my wallet hates me.
-
I didn't want to make a whole thread for it (ironically waited so long the release discount expired) but if you have any money left, I would like to suggest checking out the shmup I translated that got released a couple weeks ago, Mecha Ritz: Steel Rondo.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/463070/
If you like FM-synth music and have a hard time on even Easy Modo for Touhou, it'll be right up your alley. The bundle with the OST is discounted at least!
-
Wait I got beat to it
-
(http://i.imgur.com/9V0xKJL.png)
Day 1 and I'm already a terrible person.
The real question is how many of the 50% off games do I feel like clearing off my wishlist?
-
I think I'm gonna have to cash in on the Bioshock pack and Tabletop Sim at the very least. Holy damn, 85% for at least two games I want is ridiculous.
-
Trails in the Sky Second Chapter was my main target of the sales, but... I might bite for a few other things.
-
I picked up Disgaea because holy crap Prinny caps for TF2
-
I already own Phantom Brave on two platforms and have the physical artbook... Now I'll own it on a third, and have a digital artbook in English!
-
Ahahahahaha.... apparently Phantom Brave's pre-purchase deal got extended until July 25th this is funny also Zero Escape 3 is coming out today with a free mini digital booklet and ost deal this "dlc" will be free until July 8.
-
I bought Axiom Verge and Dust: An Elysian Tail. But I can't play it because I will get addicted to it and forget about let's playing a certain difficult Touhou JRPG. Should I bought Rabi Ribi as well? I heard it's very good, but it looks...

JUST DO IT! It's an awesome game and you get an achievement for sequence breaking.
-
Here's hoping Skyrim and its DLC goes on sale for like, 50% off. I'd love to get all the DLC, mainly so I can mod my game more.
-v-
EDIT: Due to selling like, 10 unwanted items from my backpack. I managed to get Hearthfire! Finally!

I know I'm quite a bit late on this but it is indeed a game that's worth the price (I purchased it on sale too). Plus on Bunny Extinction difficulty you get some crazy hard patterns comparable to Touhou Lunatic difficulty.
I still need to beat it on hard, oh well. Gotta stop being lazy, I suppose.
-
Disgaea 2 is coming to Steam Janurary 30, 2017, however for now NISA is doing a pre-order desktop deal if you're looking for something to nerd out with, the game is not included in the deal sorry:

There's a shoot-em-up sale on Steam right now, and I'm not sure which ones I should pick up. The only thing that seems familiar is Mushihimesama, but there's plenty of other stuff that I don't recognize.
Could anyone who's seen the sale give me their recommendations?
-
The Exceed trilogy is pretty good, and Crimzon Clover is a must-have. The Tale of Alltynex series is also solid from what I hear, and you can't go wrong with Astebreed or RefRain.
And while it's not on sale, I am recommending Mecha Ritz. Not only because I translated it, but because its Rank system actually feels significant. http://store.steampowered.com/app/463070/
-
Seconding Tale of Alltynex, if only because KAMUI is one of my favorite games of all time.
-
Who else got Game Maker Studio in this month's Humble Bundle? I'm glad that I have it, so after 14 days I might submit a few games to Steam workshop.
-
Gal Gun is on steam for $39.99 with a 10% off sale until October 4 (The sale not the game): http://store.steampowered.com/app/511740/
Edit: Princess Maker fans rejoice the sequel for it is out today and has been redefined for $19.99 on Steam with a 20% sale (The sale will be over on October 5th): http://store.steampowered.com/app/523000/

I don't wanna double post or bump up anything but, Trillion 1,000,000,000,000: God of Destruction will be on Steam with a 40% deal off on November 7th, coming with that it will have the free PSvita DLC pre-installed inside it. The Deluxe Pack will be $9.99 and comes with goodies for your computer and artbook and ost and is only accessible to buy when you purchase the game itself, while the Deluxe bundle will come with the game and Deluxe Pack and tacks on another 10% off deal with a purchase of both game and the Deluxe pack itself.
Sadly it was supposed to come out today, but they pushed it to November 7th.

DiRT 3 Complete Edition is FREE on Humble Bundle (https://www.humblebundle.com/store/dirt-3-complete-edition-free-game) until Saturday (11/12).
-
The final free game of the year on Uplay is Assassin's Creed III. Come visit historic New England! (And do give the Tyranny of King Washington DLC a try sometime; it's a fine finale to the series in my book, where they finally let loose and stop trying to follow actual history and create a crazy nonsensical AU with superpowers that works so well.)

STEAM. WINTER. SALE.
That is all.
-
The Humble Monthly instant reward for the month is XCOM 2 - considering it's only $12 for the month and you can cancel at any time, it's a real bargain.
-
On that note, while you're on the Humble site, make sure to snag DiRT Showdown while it's free. The last times Humble gave away Codemasters games, it was because the licenses were expiring and the games could no longer be sold, so best to pick it up while you can!
-
The Humble Freedom Bundle is pretty epic: https://www.humblebundle.com/freedom
-
The fantastic Alan Wake (http://store.steampowered.com/app/108710/Alan_Wake/) is sadly being removed from the Steam store and Xbox Live on May 15th due to music licensing issues. It'll be 90% off on the 13th and 14th, making it about $3, a few cents over that for the special edition. (Not sure if the franchise will be available for $4, but hell, American Nightmare makes for an excellent extra.) It's a very smooth action-horror game free of jumpscares but full of immersive, eerie environments, snappy dialogue, and a glorious soundtrack. Sadly, looks like that last part is its downfall.
