It's aimed. The first two waves aim right at you, so move a few collumns away to avoid the arrowhead splash. The third wave shoots two at an angle to either side of you then one right at you. I am unsure how to consistently dodge this.

Spell repeats.

Managed Hijiri after some godawful amount of continues.

What happened to those...do-able on normal, even for someone as incompetent as I, touhou's?

I need to remember something: Whenever I need to have more fun in Touhou, get distracted with another game for a week or so, and my skills will completely atrophy. Dying in MoF stage 5 seven times is exhilirating. :3

1. An updated version (unless you're already looking at the most recent)
2. An easier version

That being said, Stage 3.

Stages 4 and 5 are feasible. And very fun.

I'll have to actually try that one out. I have the original Ultra one. So I was only able to clear the stages(not counting 6 which was impossible) through bombspamming anything dangerous.

That version there actually looks playable.

No Focusing isn't very useful anymore

Also, I can't get past half of VoWG's lifebar before dying.

Damn it Minoriko quit killing me and forcing me to bomb stuff. You're a fucking stage 1 boss.

Also died twice on Nitori on one of my attempts and clipped one of Aya's nonspells and still made it to stage 5 just to die quickly. Thankfully stage 5 isn't too bad, but Aya drains most of my power.

Gave up on Kikuri (or whatever her name is) after 5. Only got out of Phase 1 once. ONCE!

Not counting all the continues on stage due to my own weapon killing me.

And yeah, that's pretty much how it went down. If I get tired of programming my game, I'll probably be back in this thread talking about how I ruined my latest run.

I do remember this one time... where I finally got good at SA. I was stoked when I hit stage 5... until stage 5 hit me. I survived for a total of 25 seconds. With over 5 lives. Continues didn't help at all. That was the farthest I've ever gotten in SA.

Ah I usually play easy and normal.
beat MoF stage 1 on hard once
but only beat that game on easy.

I tehn to think of touhou difficulty as other smup difficulty +2

so easy is equivalent to other games hard mode
normal is equivalent to other games lunatic
and hard more is just what the forks just hit me argh spalt boom

I was just denied a MS lunatic 1cc when I game overed as Devil's Recitation ended, as in the last place where it was feasible that I could ever die. This would have been my first 1cc with Reimu too. :<

Mostly learning how to manipulate Reimu's balls correctly and scoring well enough to rack up lives. Once you learn it, it's not that hard. :V

Well, even if I survived this part, there was a 0% chance of survival due to the upcoming waves. Need to learn how to do one certain Spell Card without bombing more than twice. On the plus side, I did manage "Rainbow UFOs" with a single bomb.

It'd be so much more easier on me if "Typhoon" wasn't such a bitch with the handicap.
