Title: A question of height.
Post by: Paul Debrion on September 30, 2009, 05:01:38 PM
This might be a silly question, but how tall are fairies (Cirno, Lily White) and youkai insects (Wriggle) supposed to be?

I haven't seen them depicted next to humans much for size comparison.

Wriggle is as tall as a human child.

The fairies vary in Length; in between the size of your hand to the size of a young girl.

Yeah, sizes aren't usually given much thought being all we see of the Touhous visually are sprites and cut-ins.

In anycase, I'm going to agree with Pako and say the same.

Cirno would most likely be the same height as Wriggle. Lily White is a bit taller than them I would guess, perhaps about the size of a 16 year old.

Actually, Wriggle reaches up to Eirin's shoulders in Inaba, so she can't be all that much shorter than Udonge...

Also, UNL confirms Cirno to be even shorter than Suika.
Way shorter.

Yeah, but UNL also has 3- to 3.5-head body proportions.

Standard anime body sizing.

Standard anime body sizing.

No, it's a bit more deformed than normal. Sometimes I wonder why Tasofro took the art in that direction. It's hard to imagine them in a serious setting with those proportions.

There's your problem: Touhou isn't a serious setting.

It is a serious business setting though.
