GO TEAM MOTK (+1 random)

Took four attempts. Easily one of the hardest challenge modes to date.

EDIT: I just realized Nut needs five or more combos to proc, and I went in with five MOTK members.

Half-Life 5 confirmed

The random was another I&I. I don't think it's possible to beat it with this setup unless I use two, so...

EDIT: Upon further inspection, I think you actually deleted me a long time ago, so I don't have you on my list. I guess I'm just too scrub after all.

This was way back when I was like Rank 60, and I probably didn't have anyone that was compatiable with Horus, so that was that.

Also unfortunately that last slot I opened was because someone needed Nut friends, so I can't accept the request at the moment. I don't think I run anything you could use still.

Rank is but an arbitrary number that masks the true skill of that player.

New set is 'fine we'll give you fucks what you want'

the blue one is possibly a stupid good statstick, dark oe one is pretty busted looking since she got good awakenings, green one looks mediocre

damage control probably super imminent still

I mean
They can't really introduce a new Awoken skill without it being absurd overpowered, while it would be super uncommon and only work with a specific team of only 5 mons

this would appeal to superwhales

they already have monsters that let you spam even more active skills

What else are they supposed to do? Add an active skill that deals more damage as the -enemy's- HP decreases, like Pok?mon's Brine?

I, uh, ran out of Clouds to farm Creek of Neleus, so I tried using Aoshi's Minerva

This was far more stressful than I thought it would be

There's a TON of reasonable, untapped design space in the leader skill department. And I think the popularity of Norns has proven that peole do care about leader skills that aren't "x17 attack lol".

I'm surprised we haven't seen a leader skill yet that auto-creates orbs every turn. Like " x3 attack for green, and converts the orbs in the bottom corners to green at the start of your turn". Or maybe "x3 attack for red and creates a heart orb and a red orb at random whenever you use a skill" or permutations of that.

As for actives, I can't see as many options there (I already kind of think Haste was crossing the line) but I'm sure plenty exist. Maybe "Take another turn after this one" on a massive timer as a more expensive, more powerful version of Delay. Or, as sketchy as this might be, some kind of new "excess orbs" mechanic where you can orbchange away any orbs that you have too many of. Like "Changes excess red, green, and blue orbbs to hearts" would randomly orbchange orbs until you only have three of each of those colors left. Or even a mechanic that lets you pick what you orbchange, and/or to what. It would halt the momentum of the game a bit, but I wonder what the lowest cooldown they could get away with making "Change the orb of your choice to the color of your choice" at is?
I made a PADHerder. It's probably out of date though.

On Actives:  Temporary versions of popular leader skills like Resolve, Regen, and Combo Dmg Boost would allow more variety of leaders.  This is basically what they did with Raphael.

Putting damage boosts in the Awakenings has already let tank leaders start to make a comeback

Swapping the ATK and HP (or RCV?) stats of the party for 3 turns or so might also be interesting. Might make for some interesting Tank->Glass Cannon mid-battle conversions.
Or maybe new full board awakenings. Would require a team with a lot of board changers and hasters.

Right, this is why I lost so much interest in this game, the powercreep has reached overdrive speed and it's not stopping anytime soon.

Oh lovely, the blue one is arbitrarily rarer again. At least it's dragging the black one down with it.

I'm getting real tired of the "match five orbs including one enhanced orb" mechanic. Admittedly I've never played a team optimized around it, but I haven't found that it gives terribly enjoyable gameplay. It's starting to feel lazy by this point. Maybe there's a ton of nuance to it that I'm overlooking, but even if that's the case I'd rather see it used sparingly.

As for power creep, that went out the window for me with Ra Dragon. Anything's fair game at this point. While that bothers tremendously on a design level it has yet to hurt my enjoyment of the game in a practical way (aside from losing all of my Awoken Ra friends, but I'm getting used to that since I play blue). We'll see I guess.

I don't think it's as overpowered as it appears. Yeah, they give a lot of offensive awakenings, but that's all they have. 5 green rows, might seem really good at first, but then you realize she brings no skill boosts to get your actives to make the rows, no time extends to fix those hard boards, and no skill bind resist. All of those things, will need to be made up elsewhere. Also, unlike prongs, it doesn't matter which card brings the rows in a team as long as they're already there. Right now, I can bring in Artemis and Micheal, who might have only 3 rows, but they also bring in skill boosts, skill bind resists, and auto-heals that will help the team just as much if not more than the 2 other rows brought by Austrailis.

The Pentapronger is bit harder to defend, but hey. Even hypermaxed, her small attack makes it so that she only hits a little harder than Vishnu, and without eggs Vishnu will hit harder than her. Of course, she has stats in other areas backing herself up, but Vishnu and Orochi have more variety in their awakenings, with the skill boosts and the skill binds.

As for the last one. We've had 5-orb enhance 4*s on our collab eggs for a while. I don't think a 6* godfest exclusive having two more orb enhance awakenings will break anything. These guys are definitely pushing it, but I think PADs been through worse. II think Godfest exclusives should push things a little though. Makes them more interesting. I don't think these guys have anything on the MP dragons anyway.
