Yeah, I know. I'm just saying that a hugely disproportionate number of mine have HP as one of those three IVs (I did finally get one without it).

Evolving a baby via happiness: give it a Soothe Bell, and kill a high leveled Pokemon with EXP Share on. The baby gains like 10 levels and then evolves :V

I suppose you can try it without a Soothe Bell but it'll probably have to gain more levels.

Even with a Luxury Ball it takes more than ten levels. Assuming happiness still works like it used to, my math is right, and you aren't at the Pokemon's home location it takes 52 levels to get max happiness purely off of leveling up.

I didn't take base happiness into account. At any rate, I had a bunch of Chinglings up to level 28 before I gave up trying to evolve them purely off of levels.

Yup. It was after 8pm anyway. I guess it's possible they changed what counts as night this generation.

Anyway, got the operation started. The Chinglings are all Chimechos and I have one with four perfect IVs now, as well as five hatched that I haven't checked out yet.

Well apparently Pokemon bred from eggs start with a base happiness of 120, but I just tested a happiness evolution with Eevee -> Umbreon and it evolved at level 19 (starting from level 1) using the Soothe Bell. If I account for residual happiness from walking that I forgot about along with Togepi being able to level faster than Eevee, then it might explain Togepi's superevolving. :V

Without Soothe Bell it'll take approx. 30 levels or so, so I guess this is really better for single Pokemon rather than group happiness evolving.

Interesting. Shouldn't Chingling have a higher base happiness than Eevee? What went wrong on my end? Is it possible night really did move?

Right now there seems to be no point in the PGL aside from 50% off PokeMile items. I really hope that when Attractions arrive it's like the Dream World from Gen 5, except you get Mega Stones instead of Hidden Abilities. Then again, it might not even be that.

Here's a cool little trick to max out your Lumiose style. Buying things in Lumiose increase your style. So get the Bargain O-Power Lvl3. Everything costs 50%. Buy 999 Premier Balls from the Pokeball shop and sell them back. Buying and Selling cost is 100 with the O-Power. Keep doing it over and over again. The prices stay at 50% even after the 3 minutes expire as long as you don't stop talking to the shopkeeper. You can potentially gain profit by buying 10 Pokeballs to get free Premier Balls.

Mr. Bonding, giving you the power to screw with the Pokeconomy.

I managed to snag a whole lot of friend safaris with desirable pokemon the other day by lurking reddit's /r/friendsafari for long enough. Snagged ditto, garvantula, droughttales, ferroseed, skarm, togepi, forretress, eevee.. all kinds of stuff. Might be worth checking out for some of you.
