I got bored, so I'm gonna do something for luls:

Wonder Trade run.

Catch 6 mons.

Wonder Trade

Whatever I get, I use; with the exception of duplicates; which get re-traded out.

New trainer name is Elly.

Well, this is a good sign; female Chespin :V

Also, apparently Exploud gets STAB Boomblast.

You know, that's like Base 140.

And sound moves apparently ignore substitutes too.

Anyway; I changed my mind after the 10th Bunnelby. This ain't getting anywhere. I'm just gonna use some stuff I've not used before in-game, or not used since R/S/E [Aka: Pre Physical/Special Split].

I might actually be the ultimate man and use a Smergle in-game.

I don't think I've EVER received something I wouldn't use in-game in a wonder trade. I did four a couple of nights ago and it was like "gen-6 starter, gen-1 starter, fossil I don't have, version exclusive".

And sound moves apparently ignore substitutes too.

Makes sense, and cool.
I made a PADHerder. It's probably out of date though.

Noivern confirmed for best dragon.

No seriously, forget the pseudo-legendary Dragon/Flying bunch; you get a fairy-type using Substitute you might as well kiss your spiky tail goodbye, but Noivern don't give a Dunsparce 'bout your little dolls.

Oh look, I got an image in my signature. Finally.

I am gonna put together the weirdest in-game team full of stuff no-one in their right mind would probobly choose to use in-game, and it will be GLORIOUS.

I already know I wanna use a Smergle, Carbink and Mantine.

So I've been trying to decide if my first breeding project is going to be perfect Fennekin or perfect Pumpkaboo, and I just settled on Pumpkaboo because I assume its eggs have a shorter hatch time because it isn't a starter. I hope I understand the theory behind this. I'm starting by catching a bunch of Chinglings so that I can refine one into a male Chimecho with six perfect IVs and start breeding it with my female Super-Size Pumpkaboo. That's what I'm supposed to do, right?

Fuck yeah you do. And when you find them either pass the info along or catch ten trillion Dittos, because everyone's going to want them all. I know a guy who spend 50+ hours searching for an Impostor Ditto in generation five, so loading up on them is gonna be great.

I do have a few Dittos with a perfect stat in Black 2, although I don't know if I want to transfer them. Has anyone found a source of infinite PP-Ups in X/Y yet? Is there a place where you can buy them or something? It kind of sucks that in the same generation we can kind of (sort of) handle IVs we may have lost our source of PP-Maxes.

You can buy them with PokeMiles (if I could only figure out how the hell they worked and why I keep losing them) and from the lottery center in Lumicrashyourgame city. If you win the 2 digit prize it's a PP Up just like in DP and I think BW?

I've encountered unforseen difficulties in the breeding program: Evolving all of these fucking babies through happiness so they grow working genitals. What's the most efficient way to do this?

What I did to evolve my Azurill quick was go to the area I caught it(Bulbapedia says you get bonus happiness in the place you met the Pokemon) and just ran back and forth for like an hour. I just watched tv while doing this.

Well, I caught these in a cave and Cleanse Tag seems to reduce encounter change by like 1%, so that's out. I guess I can just bike back and forth and hatch some random eggs while I do homework. I think I can write a lab report one-handed. If that is true it should make subsequent generations slightly easier since I'll have met them on Egg Hatch Road, but regardless this is a HUGE setback. This adds many, many hours to the process of making a team. I don't know how many yet, but a ton.

Edit: Wow, Luxury Ball actually has a use now. I may have to throw out this batch of Chinglings, buy a bunch of Luxury Balls, and catch a new batch. Apparently the kind of ball something is in is now an inheritable characteristic (Pokesex is super weird I guess?), so I assume the Luxury Ball effect is also inherited.

Been doing this with every pokemon I find in the friend safari 8D. I only spent 200000 on luxary balls alone for this. And yes, baby pokemon inherit the same pokeball the mother had.

I have ten Chinglings now (all caught wild) and every single one has maximum HP. Has anyone else noticed the good IVs being weighted heavily toward HP? Is that a known thing?

Evolving a baby via happiness: give it a Soothe Bell, and kill a high leveled Pokemon with EXP Share on. The baby gains like 10 levels and then evolves :V

I suppose you can try it without a Soothe Bell but it'll probably have to gain more levels.
