Dawn of War 2: Nevah Catch Me Ridin Razorback
« on: May 05, 2009, 12:54:46 AM »
Fools!  The Emperor of Man has called you forth in service of His Holy Crusade, in order to bring order to the Empire of Man, and force Chaos and the Xenos back into the Warp.  Pick up your sword and join your Battle Brothers in combat!

No seriously, get this game, I wish to stomp faces in.  I am horrifically addicted to this game.  It is like the next generation of crack, except in stupid fast Korean clicky form.  RTS, streamlined and honed to the single purpose of making your men beat the everloving tar out of someone else's men.  No more SimCity, no more making sure x probe is on y mineral patch, just combat in it's most pure and brutal form.

Games are fast, expect combat in the first 30 seconds, and never relenting until the match is over and a victor is declared.  Games also do not last longer than 30 minutes, and miraculous comebacks and last second nailbiters are the norm, not the exception.

You will get this game and love it.  You will make friends with me on Steam.  Or else rippers will invade your kitchen and mess up your pots and pans.

It's not required, and in fact DoW2 is a major departure gameplay wise from DoW1.  It's closer to Company of Heroes (Relic's other major RTS) than DoW1.

And I was planning to get one FPS out of all those other titles, guess fate selected it for me.

Actually, I'd say it's closer to Bungie's Myth: The Fallen Lords.

Hey I have this game!

This game is awesome simply because it's using my Otomedius gamerpic for Live.

I play occassionally, Tyranids is my team and I (usually) specialise in being the '1' when the team of 3 split up into the 2 and 1.

Death comes in the form of sharp pointy claws.

Oh yes, lets rape and pillage the Imperium with sharp and pointy organic objects.

Likewise, I'm a Eldar player. Warp Spiders. I love those things.

i want to play DoW2, but can't because of my shitty video card.
i really need to upgrade soon.

to be brutally honest though, i was kinda disappointed when i heard DoW2 was more of an action RPG, because i loved the original DoW and i'm not an action RPG person. i still wanna at least try it though

I play Space Marines.  I also suck because I haven't played much.  I also need to get hardware that won't cause the framerate to crash and burn.  In theory I can run online play...

Oh um...for the Emperor!  Death!  Death!  Death!

Probably not for a while, Chaos is pretty much guaranteed one of the next races (and probably IG/Grey Knights).
