Well, look at that, I can dodge bullets from three directions at once now. Even though Remi's strength hepled a lot, I was scared witless by this spellcard (on Hard and Lunatic) each time I saw it before. The fact I didn't die on the first green/yellow star coming my way means I no longer am. Good.

EDIT: I learned how to Final Spark too. Marisa fully mastered now. Wow.

After quitting PoFV for almost a month, I cleared extra stage with Komachi on my first try. What :V

DDC Easy 700 million with all 6 shot types!

ReimuB's was the most difficult, but with the help of some Sekibanki bomb-grazing (yes Fantasy Seal can be used for grazing-- it was discovered by someone at Royalflare), and learning how to use her unfocused shot to defeat enemies her focused shot isn't strong enough for, I managed to do it.

Now, the question is how to reach non-SakuyaB 800 million...

So I decided to beat DDC Extra as MarisaB without ever pressing the Z button.

I pressed the X button a lot.

Three lives to spare at the end, and that's with a bunch of dumb mistakes and actually attempting the survival + last one's timeout phase, bombs in stock both times.

Only posting this here because the sheer brokenness of this shot is getting to be hilarious all over again. Might upload a video of it later, replay available.

(also because I timed out Kagerou's entire arsenal and now have it on video but who cares about that :V )

Malky, that was quite a sissy approach to Kagerou's first spellcard, pls redo while staying in the middle as much as you can like you would during a normal capture attempt.  :3

Welp, now we know one more reason why Sakuya A is overpowered in this game. Turns out if you time it right and stick knives into Raiko right before she disappears during her survival card, the knives work their magic and slow down the entire card, utterly breaking it and potentially ending the card without you even dealing with the tough final 15 seconds.

Thanks to uμ for the tip-off that this was possible.

I had this happen to me a bunch in spell practice (like 10% of the time), thought it was just a random glitch, nice to see someone's been able to reproduce it.

Here's a replay of a run where it really seems like it should have occurred, but didn't (then I somehow captured it anyway). It's really easy to reproduce in spell practice though, once you know it exists.

Not even MarisaA's shotgunning can compete anymore.

I'm working on it.

I still need to practice stage 3, 4, and 6 some more, since I need to learn exactly when it's safe to approach the bosses. And the shift-release timing is actually rather precise (though I'm getting better at it).

Edit: Now I just need to get a good run. And adjust my bombing route to compensate for several lives spent on bomb-grazing Sekibanki's 2nd.

So I 1 cc'd DDC lunatic today (first touhou game I've 1cc'd on lunatic, besides HRtP which hardly counts)
It was more of a confirmation of MarisaB being incredibly broken at higher difficulties rather than it taking any skill on my part. (I think I went from 2 bonus lives to max lives during stage 4)

And very well done to you Nindella, pretty incredible achievement there.

No nonononono, the random RNG generator in that game is weaksauce, the play area is upright all the time, and the hitboxes are totally unrealistic! DDCK with Sakuya B, now that's a man's game. Do you even recline? :V
