I've postponed the upgrade for now due to difficulties and upgrade issues and just general rage at this point.

Well duh.

Hence why this is being so much of a pain in the ass, because apparently there are extensive DB format changes.

Upgrading forums is a pain. D:

I've done it a few times, but with a different forum software. I know how frustrating it can be. Just take your time; I don't want any horrific complete database failure happening.  :V

Thing is, it's not supposed to be /this/ kind of pain.  Basically PostgreSQL support is broken, and not just broken, but wasn't even tested at all.  I mean it's completely unusable.

The upgrade script had syntax errors and SQL queries that were not valid in PostgreSQL, literally just copypasted from the MySQL version of the script.  And after a few days of fixing that, we discovered the actual DB handling code was broken so now we're trying to dissect their terrible code and figure out what broke.

I've been waiting warmly for like 5 days now, wut tf, it's getting cold.

Sorry, I couldn't resist, I almost enjoy having the site down just for the priceless loading screen quote. Thanks for trying to keep the site in top shape though =).
