Abandon the idea that you are ever going to finish. Lose track of the 400 pages and write just one page for each day, it helps. Then when it gets finished, you are always surprised.

It's doable, you just have to have the time. And if you don't, then you should be realistic and accept that. I mean, it's possible to break out in a writing frenzy and throw out 20k words a day, but is it likely? Either way, do what works for you and your schedule best.All of this.
